Overall, they're excellent.

They seemed to have done a good job. I was very much concerned about the large trees and they moved it. They seemed to do well. I'm still in the process of using them so they haven't really completed other small jobs although they have completed the main job. There was one thing that they never got back to me on.

They were pretty good. They were possibly over priced, but not to the point that I was discouraged from using them. They were really good about replacing the junipers that were guaranteed and died, even though it wasn't necessarily their fault that they died. I also used them for a couple of spring clean ups, which also seemed expensive, however I haven't yet compared to anyone else.

I like that they offer organic products. I needed it quickly, due to a gathering. Every one at the store was helpful and knowlegeable. I feel that customer satisfaction is their goal.

After months/months of delay, APF finally came out and replaced the dead plants. The replacement tree/bush to match the one on the other side of the main entrance was about 3.5' tall, the one on the other side close to 5.5' tall. Despite following instructions from APF, that tree has died also and was discarded earlier this month. APF acknowledged that they should do better in documenting for customers the specific after installation steps to care for the plants besides a handwritten note; although we did follow instructions for watering, etc. The poor job was frustrating enough given the cost, as well as the apparent poor health of the plants supplied, but the months of inaction and unresponsiveness was unacceptable.

We have used American Plant for the last two years for spring cleanups, and to plant shrubs/trees and aerate/reseed our lawn. We find their staff very professional and knowledgeable, and the quality of their work has been excellent each time. The only drawback to American Plant is their cost, but as they are one of the few organic gardening companies around, we believe it is worth the extra money.

I have always had a fantastic experience shopping for plants at APF, so I was interested in having them design the tiny front space/garden of my row house in DC. To make a long story short, they disappointed at every step in the process. Initial call and email was not returned promptly- I needed to contact them 3 times. Missed first appointment. Rescheduled and after they were an hour late called to say they were running late, then called again- lost, called again- getting close, etc. Very junior staff, didn't know the basics I was expecting like sun exposure, etc. Stayed 15 minutes. Website said they would leave you with design- he emailed two days late (again promised earlier). Did not include anything I wanted- had several of my neighbors plants and a few others I didn't care for. Great nursery- horrible landscape/design team. For $150 total waste of time. I did leave a message with manager and then just dropped it. The kid seemed nice- just not qualified or professional

This estimate was out of this world! I could not believe what she was going to charge me. It frustrated me so much, that I ended up just taking matters into my own hands and subcontracting out the heavy work. It also motivated me to go ahead and plant my own plants. I didn't like the fact that she included only annuals in the design, which I felt was her way of getting a couple more bucks from me every year.

Installation went satisfactorily although plants seemed smaller than anticipated, one major plant was a complete mismatch for one on the other side of the front door. APF agreed and replaced it. The grass seed required another application which APF agreed to do when asked. However, within a couple of months of completion, plants started to die. I have been unable to get APF to come examine the situation, let alone replace them under the warranty. At this point, after another two months of inaction by APF, about 25% of the plants are dead or dying, about 25% of the grass is dead or gone (despite regular watering in this dry summer). The lack of response is most frustrating, particularly given the substantial cost of this project. Some plants are doing fine, other ones are dead and gone.

I was very satisfied with this company's service. The work was done on time and professionally; the crew was friendly, helpful and knew their business well.

Excellent service. I'm actually writing this report six months after the service (now Spring) but I can report that the lawn is better than ever.

Excellent job. Workers were great. They asked me which side of the tree I wanted facing to the front (which I would not have thought of, if they hadn't asked me). They were pleasant, efficient and on time. Manager/estimator accommodated my need for very quick service, and was very helpful with advice.

EXCELLENT WORK AND SERVICE. PROJECT MANAGER TONY LIGHTBOURNE WAS GREAT TO WORK WITH. HE WAS RELIABLE, ON TIME AND PROFESSIONAL. THE WORKERS SUFFERED BEE STINGS WHEN REMOVING THE NESTS, BUT THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN NICER ABOUT THE INCIDENT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AMERICAN PLANT FOOD CO.

I FELT THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB WITH THE LANDSCAPING PROJECTS THEY HAVE DONE FOR US. I HAVE PURCHASED A LOT OF PLANTINGS FROM THEM AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HEALTHY. IF NOT THEY REPLACE THEM.
