 + -1 moreAllied Power Service offered an alternative to what was, in my eyes, a monopoly. PEPCO and Washington Gas were the only sources of energy available to us. APS made it clear that my service would not change and that the price I would pay would be at a fixed, reduced rate. My wife, the ultimate skeptic when it comes to something new, is very pleased with our savings to date. ENOUGH SAID!!!
Description of Work: Allied Power Services provided us with an electrical power source at a reduced rate. The transfer was simple and painless.

 + -1 moreThe process was pretty seamless. A representative from the company called me and explained the program. He was very knowledgeable and was able to address all of my concerns. I had a concern about reliability and also that if I lost power or had other problems I might be on the back burner as far as customer service was concerned. That hasn't been the case at all. You still get the power and gas from the power company and thus are still a "customer" - you're just being serviced through a separate marketing partner which gets you a discount. It really is a no-brainer!
Description of Work: Allied Power Services offers discounts on the electric power and gas that you receive from the power company. They approached me about saving money on my electric bill by converting to their program. I have a regulatory background so I understood that nothing was going to change in terms of where my power and gas comes from - you just get it at a discounted rate by going through Allied Power Services. I signed up for the service online. The process was very simple and straightforward. This winter I was very pleased to see that my electric bill was much less than I had paid in previous years (in spite of the huge spike in energy costs). Although you going through Allied Power Services to get your electricity and gas it's still originates from the same power company so nothing really changes.
