+ 0 moreAs it turned out, one of our pipes broke and we had to call him after hours several days prior to the appointment. He arrived within 1/2 hour of our call and completed the repair the next day. He returned again on the originally scheduled appointment date and performed the additional work. Bill installed new shutoff valve and drains and was very patient about showing us how to winterize. He was punctual and responded quickly when called. We were very pleased with his work and are already planning to use him for future work this spring.
Description of Work: Originally called and set up appointment to install a faucet and rework the outside water turn off valves.

Description of Work: 2nd time we required Bill for an "urgency." First time was last year when the gas hot water heater wouldn't light. He came over the same half of the day. He problem solved it and unfortunately that time he started with the very expensive part when it ended up being the cheap one that was needed. He recognized this and didn't charge for the extra time to get the 2nd part (though I still paid for that expensive part). Cost $400. This time, kitchen drain suddenly stopped draining. I investigated and determined the problem was below the floor. He happened to already be working on the same street and came over when he was finished there. He reviewed my efforts, surmised that the house may have galvanized steel drain pipes, crawled underneath to confirm, and based on his experience said there was probably major interior corrosion. He recommended replacement, made 2 cuts in the pipe and saw that he was still in it. Went further with another cut and found it clear. Replaced with PVC and we were flowing again. Both experiences were great (except for the financial sting the 1st time). Cost $221.25.

He said he would call before coming and he did. Showed up on time, Kept me informed of his progress etc. I couldn't be happier.

+ 0 moreCalled Mr. Brown at 10:24 am on Monday, March 9, 2015 and told him my water heater had blown up....I had all 50 gal of water on my floor when I woke up and more water was free flowing until I got to the shutoff valve. By 1:00 PM (great response time, given a beach resort area in the throws of cold and snow....actually, great in under circumstance), Mr. Brown arrived at my home, took the necessary measurement and was off to secure a new water heater. By 4:00, we had a newly installed water heater and by 4:30, hot water! Couldn't have been happier with Mr. Brown's responsiveness, his professionalism or the price we paid. We will never have to look for another plumber in the Ocean City, MD area. Thank you!

Description of Work: Bill Brown, who owns and operates GulfStream Plumbing, came to my house on 8/14/14 to see what I wanted done. I had contacted him on 8/13/14 and got next day service, which is impressive. I needed two toilets replaced, a washing machine moved to another room and a shower diverter replaced with an access panel installed. He looked at everything of concern, answered a lot of questions that I had and wrote up a price quote that included each item separately, with a total job cost not to exceed $1,600.00, possibly less depending on time and materials. I felt it was quite fair and reasonable, so we decided to start with the toilets first. We scheduled it for 8/26/14, and he arrived promptly at 9AM, removed each toilet and installed two very nice, water efficient toilets and was done before 11AM. He cleaned up, took the old toilets with him and he even accepted the $25.00 coupon the was posted on Angie's List although the coupon was not valid. Bill is a very nice guy, who is a Master Plumber and knows what he's doing. I would recommend him to anyone who needs reliable plumbing services done at a reasonable price. He is coming back to move the washing machine next week and I am sure that he will do a good job.

He was here is less than 45 min. and had the parts he needed on his truck. Finished the job in less than 45 min. Considering it was emergency service the charge was very reasonable. It was the first time using Gulfstream Plumbing and he is now my go to plumber.
