Mr. Bollon was professional, made the appointment, on the appointment day received a call stating that the person will be there in 20 minutes,Mr. Bollon was there within that time frame, check the A/C out and tested it, showed me where the parts that were being tested. Was honest and straight forward about how the A/C was functioning and let me know what repairs I may need in the future.

The Sila representatives arrived on time and performed a thorough review of my current system and my home (size, existing vents, etc.). They were polite and knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different types and levels of current HVAC systems. After answering all of my questions they presented me with a very competitive estimate to do the work. If I could go forward with the project I would be very comfortable with Sila.

Everything was great. The technician is clearly into his job and knew what he was talking about. We signed up for the maintenance plan which will get us a regular check up of our systems when it's time to switch from AC to heating.

It’s 97 degrees here in DC as I write this, with the whole family enjoying the central air conditioning Sila installed 3 years ago. We have a 75 year-old house with radiators. The sales rep who came for the estimate saw, from looking at our floors, that they could do the full A/C installation by going through our closets, with no risers visible in any room. That was a big plus. Another contractor had said they would have to put risers in and that we would have to hire a carpenter to enclose them. When I asked for references, they handed me several pages of single spaced names an phone numbers. I called several in our zip code and received sterling recommendations. For me the biggest advantage to Sila is that the person who was physically doing the installation, with an assistant, was the person who designed the system in our house and decided where the vents should go. Having the person with the technical knowledge doing the actual work means there’s no miscommunication between the designer and the installer. This gave us great confidence that the job would be done right – and it was. This is a first class operation that does not cut corners.

Billy was the technician that provided the required service. He was punctual and very professional. He provided some tips for our AC and a great maintenance plan. He was courteous and took great care in making sure we understood the job. Very very impressed and highly recommend them.

It went very well, took two workmen to install at first, and another workman was included later. They were very nice and worked the whole time, very careful about work environment. Good experience.

Technician arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad contactor. He had the replacement part in his vehicle and was able to get the air conditioner running again in under 20 minutes. The total cost was above average for this type of repair, however given the necessity of the repair and the high temperatures, I did not intend to shop around. Other than price, I would recommend this vendor to others.

They informed me that I would need to get a vent, which would be installed in my attic, to move the hot air outside of my house. I thought they were very honest with their inspection..

I called Sila at 7:15 am this morning with a emergency repair request and got a call back from Lindsey in the Maryland office at 7:35 am. They immediately scheduled me for a 12-2 pm window and arrived EARLY to noon. The work was done quickly (had to replace a small part, thankfully) in 1 hour's time. I was also able to use an Angie's List coupon to defray the cost (by $30) of the diagnostic/emerg appointment fee ( orig.$98). At this point, couldn't be happier I got this fixed on such short notice and on a day with record-breaking heat.

It worked out well. They ended up doing the things they needed to improve the unit. However, it was more than what the deal was. I felt like they didn't actually go through and clean it. They charged me $300 to add Freon, to clean it and do these things. They never lubricated anything from the checklist that I could see. They forgot about doing that. They overcharged on stuff I needed done. Excluding the price factor everything was done great. They were responsive.

The technician did a thorough check-up on my air conditioner, but...misled me on the cost of replacing a thermostat. He told me that Nest devices cost up to $700 to install, because only their technicians could install them. He pressured me to let him install the one he had in his van instead, for a cost of $500. I checked online, and found I could buy a Nest thermostat for $250 and install it myself, which I did. It took 15 minutes, following along with the video instructions I played on my iPhone -- and I'm not a particularly technical person.

They were fine, it was a good job. At the end of the installation, there was a surprise of them wanting $100 more and I asked them to explain that, and he said that it was in the Angie's List deal that there would be additional charges. He wanted additional charges for some copper fittings and additional things and I talked to the manager, and since the serviceman had not told me that there would be extra charges, they waived that.

The technician arrived at least 30 minutes without advance notice. I generally have no problems with early arrivals as long as advance notice is provided to me. In addition to the installation of the water heater, the technician needed to install an expansion tank. The price cited in this rating also includes the cost of the permit. So far, I have not had problems with the new water heater--but it's been less than a month since the installation. I will revise my rating if problems crop up in the near future.

I scheduled the appointment thru the website on 7/6/16. I had to wait until today for the soonest appointment they had. On the day of the appointment, past the initial appt. time, they called to say they wouldn't service my area. Their concern seemed to be that someone would take something off their truck. At first, she said they would send someone and they would have to charge extra to have someone watch the truck. I offered to have someone watch the truck. I said it wasn't fair to charge more to have someone watch the truck. I told her, if they have restricted areas, they should have put that on their site. The young lady at the house took off from work to be there and doesn't get paid when she takes off. I explained to Lindsey that they are costing me money. If she had called before, she would not have taken off. So, I expressed to Lindsey that she needed to share this information with her manager, because again - this is costing me money because my girl had taken off and was waiting for them. The only thing Lindsey could say is she is sorry. I told her it isn't any way to do business. I said, she should honor my deal and post for future this area is not included and she absolutely refused.

Purchased Angies List deal. Included 3 possible install dates but company didn't contact me, but that was ok, -- no emergency. I called them and scheduled an install date & time. On that day, the installer called ahead and arrived on time. He was friendly and professional. He surveyed the situation and got to work right away. Removed the old tank, installed the new one, explained operation of new tank, cleaned up and left. In and out in less than 3 hours. Great work!

This went very well. The plumber was unable to make the noon to 2 window as promised but the office called well before 2 to alert me to this and offer me a 3 to 5 window for the same day. This worked out OK for me and I appreciated the advance notification that the plumber would arrive late. It turned out he was only about 1 hour outside the first window when he arrived. The plumber (Wayne) was courteous and professional. It was raining outside and he put on booties to keep from tracking dirt into the house. He went right to work and completed all his tasks to my satisfaction in about an hour. He did not uncover any problems with my plumbing. I was not expecting any since my main reason for taking the coupon was to do preventative maintenance on the water heater and to have the opportunity to get a good price for installing a new ball valve in a more convenient location to control an outside faucet. I killed two birds with one stone and did so for a reasonable price.

Approximately two weeks after the service, my unit began to malfunction by not cooling properly. The unit began blowing hot air.
