It took about 10 days, and they installed a unit on the roof for the top two floors and a unit in the back yard for the basement and first floor. . I went remarkably well, keeping mind they were installing 4-6 vents in every room and returns on the ground and top floor. The crew cleaned up completely at the end of every day, and apart from a little scuffed paintwork, there was no damage. Chris Martin, who made the initial sale and estimate stayed on top of the job, even though he was on vacation for one of the weeks.

I've used Sila in the past and was pleased with their work. I had every intention of using them this time -- until I had them give me an estimate. Each step was frustrating and they tried to over sell. I knew my unit was old and beyond repair. They sent an estimator who first said he'd have to take out my water heater to replace (not true). He didn't know if my outside unit was broken or my inside unit (why did you send someone who doesn't know AC systems?) and they'd have to send someone else to assess AND charge me for it. I called two other places, they gave me free estimates and assessed what was wrong in one visit. Also I showed him the write up and bill from my precious work with Sila and it was like Sila was a different company just a few years ago. Disappointed.

I had a very positive experience with Sila. Their estimate was in line with three others I had received. What set Sila apart was the personable staff, from my initial call for an estimate to completion everyone was straight forward, professional and expressed their desire to do a good job. There was no pressure to purchase or attempt to up-sell, I was given 3 options and chose the one that best fit the specs of the house and my budget. The system install went smoothly and was completed in one day as estimated. I was especially pleased with how the condensation drain pipe was re-routed from the way the builder had installed it. A custom fabricated mount for the humidifier had to be built so they came back a week later to complete that install. The system has improved the comfort in the home especially on the second floor. I replaced the 20yr old system that was installed when the house was built.

again as per my other review they came and replace my hot water heater they did a great job and removed all debris and old hot water heater.

I made the call in the a.m. and they accommodate me the same day. The call center gave me a update call when the technician was on his way from previous job. Billy Balon came right on time and did an excellent job of explaining thoroughly what could be the cause. Worked efficiently to diagnose (it was 98 degrees that day). Very honest with prognosis. There was no pressure as far as my options. I was very pleased with him and his service that I placed a referral for him and Sila on our neighborhood app.

They seem really knowledgeable but the guy from Sila Heating & Air Conditioning kind of seemed a little more sales-y, like he didn't seem to be very technical and understanding on working those HVAC system. I think they're just selling us the product rather than providing us with what we really, absolutely needed. Their price is on a high side. We consider using them in the future.

They did an excellent job and installed a new furnace with a day of our meeting.

I really liked them but they are a little pretty pricey. They do nice work.. However, I don't use them unless I buy a Deal through Angie's List. I have signed a contact for one year worth of service and the only thing that makes it worth it is if I need them to come out other then when I use the Deals.

Very well -- I learned a lot, and the worker was very professional, prompt and courteous. I ended up learning that a good permanent fix would be out of my budget, but it gives me more to look for in the future.

We've used them a couple of times. This last time, due to some complications in the unit, it was a little frustrating. But, other times they've come out to service things and they've been great. So I definitely have used them again and I would use them again. Just this last time was a little frustrating. They actually did a great job. In past times I definitely would have rated them an 'A' but it was kind of routine. This last time, it was probably because of the unit and them not getting the right part and just having to reschedule a couple of times, this and that. So that's why I kind of knocked it down a little bit. I have used them probably three or four times and that's why I keep going back to them because I have had really good experiences with them in the past. The price is fine. The price is nothing I'm overly concerned about. The service was probably an 'A.' But, the first time they did it, something went wrong. So then, having to track them down where they said they would give us a call back in a day or two and then we had to call them back after two or three days. So, the responsiveness was a 'B,' but the quality of work was an 'A.'

I have worked with Sila 3 times now (for three different problems). I never thought I would feel this enthusiastically about my HVAC repairs, but I have been consistently impressed with the company. The office line is warm, helpful, and speedy in scheduling appointments. The technicians are knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely polite and helpful. I have never felt upsold by them-- if anything they have made recommendations to help save me money through maintenance tips, etc. Special shout out to Jose who I've worked with twice now-- the team couldn't be friendlier and the service is speedy, efficient, and top notch.

David Dowding performed the required work professionally. He explained the results of the toilet tune up & water heater flush very well. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the second toilet and fixed it in a professional manner. I am grateful that he performed this extra repair.

They were professional, prompt and informative. And my air conditioner has worked great all summer.

It went super well. The technician came 45 minutes early and called me promptly to let me know he'd wait in the truck until I was able to meet him. He was super careful and courteous and told me that the air conditioning noise was actually normal. He did spend extra time to make sure that there was nothing else he could do regarding the noise. It was totally worth the money for him to come out and give me piece of mind.

This was a completely painless and trouble free replacement of our aging hot water heater. The technician showed up on time, was polite, neat and efficient, and 2 hours later the installation was complete.

The service was terrific. It was easy to schedule. They were on time, neat and polite. I had one change which was an overflow tank had to be added based on compliance issues. It cost an extra $150. They taught me about the new water heater. I couldn't be happier.

Refrigerator connected to water. Leaking shower fixtures will require replacement. Plumber provided advise. and answered other plumbing questions.

Great. The Angie's List price of $750 is far-and-away the best deal in town. By law I also had to buy an expansion tank, which cost $150. Consumer Reports wants me to buy a water heater with a 10-year warranty, an anti-scale device, a glass-lined tank, etc. And Washington Gas wants to give me $50 to buy one that's Energy Star. But shopping around is simply not realistic. Most plumbers seem to offer just a single model, and good luck finding out what that is. Sila was the only one (I called four that were A-rated) who even provided that information -- Bradford White RG250T6N. It's not Energy Star rated, but Sila purchased an extension of their 6-year warranty to 10 years -- keep your Angie's List receipt, the only place that's in writing. Two installers arrived 46 minutes before the appointment time window, and without an advance phone call. But otherwise the service was outstanding.
