Sila Heating, Cooling and Plumbing

Not good. Within 10 days the issue retuned. Unfortunately for me, this tpye of service is only guaranteed for 7 days.

Very wee. They had to come back a couple of times because of some problems but now they were really good at doing it I'm not having any problem with it. The only additional charges were some parts that they had to buy and of course I had to pay for those. They were very responsive to problems. The guy that came was very nice and he was very professional and you know he did anything that he could and he explained everything that he was doing and all of that so I would give him an A.

Plumber resolved the issue without replacing the disposal.

I used an Angies List deal. The charged about $150 more to add an expansion tank required by Montgomery County. I knew about the extra charges before hand. Everything went very smoothly and the two workers were very professional and helpful.

Great. David did a very thorough job and was very professional and friendly. We would definitely use this business again.

I saw Sila's offer on Angie's List for $99 for 2 hours of plumbing services. I called to check to see if it included a toilet installation. The man that came was running a little behind due to previous customers, but once he got here he was able to take out the old toilet, and install the new one, in under the two hours, and left things clean and tidy after the installation. He was friendly and professional, and performed a quality installation. We'd definitely hire them again.

Great. He replaced and then repaired a leak in my kitchen sink faucet and loosened the neck on a sink handle that had gotten too tight.

Shower arm install went quickly, no problems. Inspection seemed to just be eyeballing my pipes and faucets and not so much actually checking for leaks. Having said that, I tried to get this company to come out for HVAC tasks and they never responded.

It went very well, the tecnician showed up on time, was very pleasant and easy to deal with and proficient.

Work was not done. Though their schedule said they would have been available for the slots I needed them for, they could not make themselves During that period. I only had a two-week window to get the work completed. The work was therefore not done.

The Technician, Joey, did an excellent and through job and very courteous.

NIce service. Very personable personnel. They found some problems that I didn't know existed and gave me a full range of options to address them in the near or long term and all the pros and cons so I could make a decision.

It was fast, affordable and SUPER professional. Couldn't be happier.

They sent Vicky the same day within a few hours, and fixed it. Very professional, and explained things to me well. Vicky also checked overall health of the heater such as CO2 and CO level, bonus for no extra charge. Awesome.

I was very pleased with Sila. They contacted me promptly after I purchased the deal and arranged a convenient appointment. The technician arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. The work was done expertly and to my complete satisfaction.

Set up an appointment with Sila the day after purchase for November 11. I thought this was a long time to wait but figured they had a lot of people to schedule as a result of the deal. Sila called me about a week before the appointment to ask about rescheduling. They tried to push it into December, but then offered up 1 pm on the same Nov. 11 appointment date. I agreed. I received a call from Sila at 11am on Nov. 11, saying there was an emergency flood repair that they had to address and that the would be unable to keep our appointment. The offered up appointments in early December, then said there was one available on Nov. 28. I said that this was a long way off and asked about a refund. They said they could put me on a waiting list and if a time opened up they would let me know. I stated that I had arranged to take off work and that I couldn't manage scheduling an appointment on the fly. They said if I wanted a refund I would have to contact Angie's List.

Plumber failed to show up for the first appointment causing us several hours of time worth about $400. The second time the plumber did not show up in scheduled window, although he did call not notify that he would be late. Plumber didn't seem to be particularly confident in his skills Plumber didn't look for or seal other potential sources of leaks at sink - i.e. around fixture, and soap dispenser and thus didn't fully solve the problem. Overcharged for parts and took 3 hrs to do these simple jobs so we ended up paying $200 for labor when the "deal" is included and nearly $550 total! We will not ever take another angie's list deal and will recommend to all of our friends that they avoid these scams. We would accept a full refund minus the wholesale cost of the parts and $100 labor to reconsider our position. Estimated refund needed: $380.

He added one pound of refrigerant and checked the system. He answered all of our questions and gave us some useful information about the system.

Plumber showed up on time. He was very professional and prepared for the job with a power snake to removed clog downstream of the bathroom sink drain. The job took about 45 minutes, but I purchased 2 hours of time via Angies List. He was well prepared for any job and used the remaining time to recaulk the shower. I plan to hire this company again for future plumbing requirements.

Jack was on time and took his time to complete the task. He examined the roof and gutters, made some minor repairs as requested without hesitation. Jack was very thorough and upon completion, provided his analysis and suggestions in detail for future repairs. He was friendly, responsive, and went about his task professionally.

It went really well. I purchased the big deal for 2 hours of work for $99. The plumber, David, did a fantastic job. Should I need more plumbing work done from Sila I will definitely ask for David again. He was one the friendliest and best plumbers who has done work in my home. He really did good quality work, gave good advice and had no problem answering any of the many questions I had. Really good plumber. Highly recommended. For the price it was a fantastic deal. If there was another plumbing big deal from Sila I would definitely buy it and find something that David could do, but as I understand Sila only allows 1 plumbing big deal per household.

The tech was friendly and professional, but barely looked at the furnace and condenser before telling me that it's common for old row homes to not get below 70 degrees. I pointed out that the house was completely rebuilt in 2014, and he said the contractors were probably lazy about the ducts. Overall they charged nearly $100 to tell me to try covering a few registers in unused rooms and to use a cheaper air filter in the furnace. We had someone else come out a couple of days later, and it turns out the freon was significantly OVERcharged. He had it fixed in a jiffy and only charged $70. This could have been a fluke, but I'll never use Sila again.

I bought an Angie's list deal for $99 that included 2 hours of labor. Parts were not included but I understood that going in. I specifically told the company that we had a loose toilet. One would think that they would stock the van with a few different parts that would allow for repair of said loose toilet. Now I was fully prepared to pay for additional labor if it exceeded the 2 hours included in the deal but when they needed to go to their warehouse for a part they needed, they charged for the time it took to leave and come back with the part. An additional $150 for "labor" to get a part they should have already had on their van based on the conversation we had before the appointment. When I called to discuss with their offices, Lindsay, who is very knowledgeable and has been helpful in the past, was very rude and dismissive. I have used SILA many times in the past for their HVAC services and have been pleased. Their employees are very knowledgeable but I will never use them after this labor overage charge/scam and the unfriendly customer support I received.

David was on time and worked diligently and in a timely manner replacing the old toilet. The toilets were heavy and he carried the old down and the new up. He cleaned up after himself and put blue "booties" on his feet when coming into the house. It all went very fast. I would definitely replace any other toilets this same way. The total cost was in the $300 range. Approximately $200 for the toilet and $99 special from Silas for a plumber for 2 hours. Can't beat that.

Work seemed thorough and each step was checked by a superviser of the responsible technician.
