The Tech, Joey, was personable and thorough. He made a point to vacuum-up the loose insulation that fell into the upstairs bedroom . He discovered that the upstairs unit was short on freon. This is a normal occurrence with this unit and it is the primary reason I get both units serviced every spring. Sila charge me $105 for the freon which seemed reasonable.

Our 3-year-old AC unit was not working. Joey from Sila came out, diagnosed the problem, called to see if the part was under warranty while examining doing the estimate (it was!), and came out to finish the repair once the part was in. This was an excellent experience!

It was great! Oscar was super knowledgable and he took care of everything for my entire system. He showed me exactly what he was looking for each step of the way and gave me honest advice for the future of my condenser. I will definitely do business with Sila again.

Fantastic. The appointment was easy to schedule. On the day of service, I got a call asking if it would be okay if the technician came early (EARLY!). Oscar arrived 30 minutes ahead of the appointment window; he was very polite and didn't mind my rambunctious puppy jumping all over him. We were scheduled to have both our AC systems and our heating system serviced, but Oscar suggested we wait on heating until the fall, since it would save us money and the work he'd do wouldn't help that much while the system was off. He gave me a thorough overview of the intricacies of our HVAC system, which include some weird choices made by previous owners. He was honest about the state of one system (old), and provided useful tips for maximizing the life of both systems.

I was so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism I purchased a contract, hence the additional costs. Joey himself was courteous, helpful and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need - unlike a larger company that I had before I called Sila. I highly recommend these folks.

The vender was on time and pleasant. He checked the furnace and answered all of my questions. He installed a filter that was difficult to install. One of the questions that he answered will save me money when I add a room.

We were told the technician would arrive between 11-1. The technician (Oscar) showed up right at 11. Our air conditioner was not blowing cold air, so Oscar checked the Freon level and found it low. The price of the Freon was $75/lb, which seems to be about the going rate. We will schedule a follow-up appointment in a week to see if there's a Freon leak. Our condenser is on the roof of our two-story townhouse, so he had to carry the Freon tank up the ladder. Other companies wanted to charge extra because our unit is on our roof, but this company charged the regular service fee. Oscar did the job quickly, was very courteous, and answered any questions I had. He talked about their service plan, but didn't try and make a hard-sell. I recommend this company.

The technician, Oscar, was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He explained to me how duel fuel system works and how hard start works. He also recommended the service plan that Sila offers.

The worker was on time and diagnosed the problem almost immediately. He indicated that he would need about an hour of work to fix the problem, and that's the amount of time he took.

Very well. The sales guy was very nice. He did try to pressure us with a "special rate available today only," but when we took our time to get another estimate, he ended up honoring the rate he'd offered initially without any pushback. The crew came as scheduled, wore shoe covers in the house, humored our over-active pup, did a great job installing with thorough cleanup and no dust. The compressor ended up having some defect, and they replaced it with no fuss at all (and even offered to switch out the faulty one with a temporary replacement until the new unit arrived). They followed up after to see if we were happy, which we are. And when the holidays roll around, they send us chocolates! Really a great experience.

The representative arrived later than I expected; was courteus and professional in the execution of the task of cleaning and servicing the boiler. He answered any questions and left the boiler and surrounding area clean.

Oscar, the technician, promptly at the scheduled time and without my having to mention it, he had noticed the sign on my door for all to remove their shoes before entering. He had a pair of coverlets for his shoes as an alternative to removing his shoes. As he checked out my system, he explained step-by-step what he was doing while suggesting ways to lower my monthly bill. He also found the root of a problem I have had since the initial installation of the unit that the original installer failed to investigate and point out. After mentioning another issue regarding the inability to keep both my first and second floors at constant temperatures, Oscar suggested zoning with dampers instead of a second unit considering the size of my house and cost involved. I was impressed with Oscar?s professionalism, courtesy and technical skill. I would definitely request his services again.

We had a superb experience with this company on March 5th 2013 when Oscar came to fix two of our three heating systems. At that time, he recommended the full service plan that would include cleaning and tune-up twice per year and fixing any problem that may arise even with after hour emergency call. The total price for all THREE systems was $926 per year. This is equivalent to a yearly warranty for your heating/AC. I wanted to think about it so for the next several days, I made multiple phone calls to other local heating/AC companies. What I found out was most do not even offer this type of service plans. The plans that are offered generally only include cleaning and tune-up for one system (you must multiply by the number of systems you have) and you are responsible for labor and parts for anything that breaks down and many do not include emergency calls. The few companies that have such programs costs between $1100 to $1300 for my Three systems. Of course, it will also depend on how old your system is. All will not have such plan if your system is too old and how old is still acceptable depends on who you call. Under this plan, the Sila company will cover everything except the compressor and the coil. I suppose that if these went out, then you would need to replace the entire AC system. However, when I called Sila after my research, HEATHER answered the phone. She was a superb customer service rep with an extremely pleasant voice. I could tell that she was very happy to work for this company and she was extremely eager to help. She was truly the face that represents this company. I asked about signing up for the service plan. She was eager to see if I could get a discount off of the original quote without me even asking for it. After a few minutes of discussing it with her boss, she came back with a price of $776.00, a nearly 20% off from the original quote, and there is no deductible. I signed up for the plan and Oscar came to perform the work on March 18th. Again, he demonstrated exemplary work ethic as he did on the previous service call ( I left a review for that service). In addition to the cleaning and tune-up, he replaced one of my condensation pumps that was on its last leg. Sila has some of the best employees in this industry, period. And their service plans I believe are among the best. Some of you skeptics out there might say that you want to stick with the Home Warranty plan, that also include coverage for the AC/Heating. I have had those plans too. The people I had to deal with were awful. Those Home Warranty companies usually partnered up with the WORST AC/heating companies with the lowest customer satisfaction. You have a significant deductible even if the problem was very simple. And finally, read their coverage plan very carefully, the list of excluded parts and services is very long. The exclusion list of the Home Warranty plan is different than the exclusion list of the AC/heating company plan that they partnered with. Wouldn't you rather deal with the AC/Heating company you love?

I had a good experience using Sila Heating & Air Conditioning for a seasonal service of my air conditioning units. Oscar the technician was on-time, professional and patient with my many questions. I'll definitely use them again.

Oscar was our technician today. He arrived punctually. He was very knowledgeable and patient, explaining what we still needed to take care of with our AC system after this summer maintenance visit. Sila was offering an "early bird" spring discount and I was glad that I was able to take advantage of the deal. This is my second A review for the company (previously, radiator heating with Joey, another great tech.) Overall, I was really pleased and am considering signing up for Sila's HVAC maintenance plans.

Our A/C stopped working on a warm night; I spoke with Evan on the phone early the next morning and he was very helpful in arranging a service call for the same day. Fortunately, Oscar arrived earlier than originally planned and not only diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly but was not rushed. He talked me through the issue (I just bought the house I and know nothing about central A/C) and explained what I should watch for in the future. He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I would definiitely use Sila again and recommend them to others.

crack in my I had several issues that were problematic with my 2 heating and air conditioning systems. Oscar was terrific at diagnosing and solving all of my issues. His professionalism, promptness, and willingness to come back before work time to finish a job that needed to be completed 24 hours later has me sold on this company. I bought an ongoing maintenance plan so I intend to stick with this company. I can see why they have so many positive reviews. I love Angie's List!

Sila Heating & Air Conditioning hasn't completely resolved the issue but they made adjustments so it is okay for the time being. They plan to put in another piece for the repair this coming summer. This was a very complex problem that the boiler had. At one point Sila Heating & Air Conditioning had three people here looking at it so they really tried to put some resources toward fixing it.

When calling to make an appointment, they were courteous and professional. He arrived to work on time and did a very thorough inspection. He also answered several questions about how best to run the furnace in order to cut costs.

They came out, they looked, they measured and they checked everything but they never got back to me. So I ended up going with somebody else. The experience was not very good. They came out and did everything. They said they will email me the estimate within the next day or two and still to this day I have never heard anything back. From the office, they sent a really, really young kid out here to do an estimate. He looked like he couldn’t have been more than 18 or 19 years old. I have been with this for 15 plus years and I don’t see somebody 18 or 19 years old experienced enough to even do an estimate or something like that. I never got it. He came out to the appointment. He was here on time. He was actually pretty professional.

Sila and their in-person representative Oscar were fantastic. I highly recommend them. My condo utility bills jumped well over double this winter. Sila talked me through some things on the phone and was easy to schedule with. Oscar, their in-person rep, arrived to my neighborhood early (I saw the truck passing), rang my door with perfect punctuality, walked me through my system, shared his knowledge and experience and helped me to anticipate what might be down the pike with my systems. He taught me some things specific to my type of system that I think will get my heating bill back in check next winter. And he did it with the warm helpfulness that you would hope for from an elementary school math teacher. Sila and Oscar are highly recommended.

Did my tune up from the big deals. Then quoted me for a replacement blower fan. Cost about $600. Replaced it, accidentally broke one of my 2 limit switches. Came back and fix switch without extra charge. Recommended
