The technician showed up on time. He performed a thorough and unhurried service of my gas furnace. Cleaned the blower motor, checked to make sure that it wasn't using excessive current, checked air temperature going in and out, checked for carbon monoxide at the registers (something other providers have never done). The technician was friendly and didn't mind answering questions. A very good experience and I believe I will make Sila Heating and Air Conditioning my regular go-to company.

Made recommendations for reducing heat bill. Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Will use in the future.

Joey was great. When he showed up to inspect my furnace, he discovered a problem that he tried to rectify on the spot. Turns out that I needed two replacement parts, which had to be ordered. | |The vendor sent the wrong part initially, but when the right part did arrive, Sila got Joey back out there as soon as possible to get the furnace repaired. It works just fine now.

It was fine. The technician seemed nice and competent. It was a good visit. The technician was friendly. He worked fast. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Service was satisfactory. Upon inspection, vendor recommended a substantial repair and performed that instead of the original clean and inspect that was covered by the coupon. It would have been simpler if they could have credited the cost of the coupon to the repair, but they said that was not possible, so they charged me regular price for the repair and told me to seek refund for the coupon which would no longer be needed.

Fine. Routine service. UPDATE: In late January, we began hearing a very intermittent grinding sound, and had Silas come out again. While the second fellow was here he could not hear any noise but told us that the boiler should be replaced because it was over 15 year old and needed replacement. Repair was not worth the money, although replacement would run about $20,000. A few week later, the noise came back -- worse but still intermittent -- and we called Silas. We said that the sound seemed to occur for about 30-60 seconds when the boiler shut down. Over the phone, the same fellow never heard the noise, but again tried to sell us a new boiler. It made no difference that he had not seen nor heard anything wrong, and the boiler was functioning perfectly well, heating the house properly in the dead of winter for over a month since the noies first occurred. Yet, he was sure we needed a new boiler. As it turned out the noise was from the flue damper motor and only occurred when the motor had to operate frequently and overheated. This did not occur on the day he came, and he never came out a second time. But the noise did occur on other days when it was much colder and the unit recycled more frequently, heating up the damper motor, apparently from a bad bearing or other defect. Another company identified the damper motor problem and we are having the motor replaced for a small fraction of the price of a new boiler. No thanks to Silas.

It went very well. The technician was on time and took his time to inspect the system.

They service was excellent. They were very professional and came out in a timely manner.

Got the big deal for a furnace tune-up. The technician was very clear in explaining our system and suggestions for maintenance.

I bought the furnace tune-up deal because even though the furnace is new, I wanted to make sure everything was installed properly and running right (it came with a renovated house we bought, and enough other issues have come up that we felt like it was worth a double-check). The technician was prompt, friendly, and extremely helpful - noted that everything was looking good and didn't try to sell me anything (he did recommend a service plan in a few years). I may not have needed the service, but I still think it was a great deal.

The technician came to evaluate my thermostat. Said I needed a new one then showed me how to do it saving me $200. He then did a minor repair at no extra charge. Good people. Def use them again.

Sila is good for the most part - in terms of customer experience. They're pretty responsive, punctual, and professional. That said, the technician I got - his knowledge/skillset seems lacking. He told me that the furnace was leaking because there was no drain tube from the diverter to the drain pipe. Fair enough - he tried pretty hard to get in there, but the access is lacking. He told me I needed to get my cabinet out of the way or cut into the drywall so he could access the furnace from the side. Well I got another opinion. I called my normal plumber who I couldn't get ahold of earlier. He removed the front panel into my furnace and determined that the diverter box wasn't necessary at all. He could run the tube directly to the drain pipe. So yeah - he didn't even need any materials and obviously saved me a ton of money as he didn't need to cut into the drywall and have my cabinets removed. I don't really understand how Sila's technician couldn't see something this obvious. The price for a service call is $98, but I used a $30 coupon. I think $98 is a fair price for a service call/diagnosis, but not when you're getting someone who doesn't know what they're doing and is proposing a very expensive fix.

I called them and the lady was very nice, but even though I told them it's kind of an emergency, since our heat is not working, and I need the furnace assessment done ASAP, they did not have any availability until 5 days from now. So I had to find someone else who is available sooner.

Excellent! Rich Kelly came to my home roughly two weeks before to evaluate and provide an estimate. He stated he would have the estimate to me within two days-- he emailed it to me that evening. His explanation during the visit to my home was very detailed and he listened intently to my needs and concerns. No high pressure sales tactics were employed. Moreover, Rich was approachable and responsive to all of my follow-up questions. His crew arrived to install the furnace three days after I signed the contract. They were efficient and left my home as they found it. They were meticulous in their efforts to clean. Rich Kelly returned to my home a few days later to inspect the work and to ensure my satisfaction.

I made an appointment and they simply did not show up and did not call to let me know that they would not be able to make it.

They came to service my HVAC unit for the condensate pan. The tech that came.was not sure if they could order the part because the system is very old. So he told me that they would call me back and let me know. | |So I waited and waited and waited. I never received a phone call from them EVER! | |I was so disappointed my unit still has not been fixed.

I purchased the Big Deal for a 21 point furnace tune-up. On 10/28, I scheduled an appointment for 11/15, as that was the first date I was available that they could come out to my house. My appointment time was between 9 and 11am. Shortly after 10:30, I received a call from Sila's office that the technician was running behind and they would need to move my appointment to later in the afternoon. I was not available in the afternoon, and my next day off from work was 11/29. Because it was the day after Thanksgiving, and I would be returning home that day, I scheduled my appointment time for 2 - 4pm. On the Monday before my rescheduled appointment, Sila called and said they would need to move my appointment time on 11/29 to 8am, that I needed to be the first appointment of the day. I considered cancelling the appointment, but as I believe there is something wrong with my furnace, I agreed to the time, and changed my family's Thanksgiving day plans to be home on Friday morning. On Friday morning at about 7:50am, Sila called and said they needed to reschedule my appointment because the technician's wife had gone into labor earlier that morning. At that point, I told them I would have to think about what I wanted to do. The woman with whom I always spoke (I believe her name is Lara), was always very polite but not apologetic for the constant scheduling changes. I am only able to be home during the day on alternating Fridays, and those days are usually very busy. So, I need dependable service companies, and this is clearly not one of them. The good news though, is that I called Angie's List to ask about a refund, and they were very prompt and accommodating in refunding the $89 I paid for the Big Deal.

They did a GREAT job. I had them come back to do a checkup on my furnace too.

The provider, Sila, came out and looked at my Mitsubishi split unit that was making A high-pitched noise, but working. Hey determined that it was the motor and said he would get back to me within a week with the cost. That was on November 8 and the gentleman whose name I believe was Joey, never got back to me about the cost of the motor. Because I wanted to compare replacing the motor with replacing the unit, Another gentleman by the name of Rich (same company), was sent out to give me an estimate on replacing the unit. He stated he has never seen this particular unit fail ever. .He said he would get back to me with an estimate and follow up on the motor as the minutes within a couple of days. That was on November 18, But today is December 5 and no one has called me. Today I called the office and spoke to Kita, requesting a refund of my $100 because I had not gotten an estimate. She stated that the $100 is for the service call not the follow-through. It has been so long that I have now gotten other companies to come out. It is highly unlikely that I will It is highly unlikely that I will ever use Sila. To feel like they just came out and collected my hundred dollars and they were done. Nothing to offer but I'm sorry. You would think after service calls that most companies would follow up to see how the Service went. I plan on sharing my experience in detail to my social media to all my followers, so that they can make a wise choice in selecting who does their heating and air in the future. The outcomes that I desire is a full refund.

Technician seemed knowledgeable and was friendly. After performing diagnostic, SILA did not call me back for four working days. I had to call them. They said they would get back to me on cost to repair. That took two days. I had to call them again. SILA said that the cost would be ~$950 to replace circuit board that was $425 MSRP. They never followed up. Brought in another contractor who diagnosed the problem differently and fixed the problem immediately for a lower cost.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I called on Tuesday and after describing the issues we were having with our HVAC the very nice scheduler set up an appointment for us between 1-3PM the next day. She even recommended I print the coupon from Angie's List. We had my husband's assistant go to the apartment and sit there for 2.5 hours to make sure someone could let the technician in just in case I couldn't leave work the minute they called. We waited, and waited....finally I called the company and they had a record of my call but they had failed to schedule the technician for that time! They apologized and offered to send someone on Monday--5 days later! When I reminded them that I called because we were having a problem and mentioned Angie's List, she said she'd talk to her manager and call me back. After 20 minutes passed she hadn't called me so I called her. She still couldn't speak with her manager and then said a spot opened up on Friday--2 days later! This just wasn't acceptible when I'm having a problem and they messed up the schedule today. The woman on the phone was very nice but not very helpful at all. I would not use this company. I called another company and they are coming in one hour.

Went Great! John managed the project with Chang and his crew. They were organized, cleaned up and followed instructions closely. I would hire them again in a second.

He was very helpful and fixed my problem. I greatly appreciated the step-by-step process so that I can do it myself in the future. I will definitely use them again.
