Description of Work: I was happy with a very prompt response to my in the end a false alarm of a burning smell in the furnace. The Sila employee inspected thoroughly the system but didn't find anything. I appreciated that he didn't charge me anything.

Description of Work: Sila checked our heating system and replaced filters. As a person who has no knowlege or interest in heating systems, I have set up my own criteria. (1) how long was the person in my home (2) Did I get a report on the work and their findings. On these to criteria, SILA, was excellent and took time with me to give me a detailed report. I remain a disinterested customer and will call on SILA next year to perform the same task.

Description of Work: The technician was prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. This was a seasonal check up of our furnace systems.

Description of Work: The service person, took apart the furnace and inspected the filter, the flame, the settings on the thermostat and more things that I do not remember. But he was thorough and went about his duties with professionalalism. He reminded me that the filter could be washed or I could get those filters that are replaced on a quarterly basis. I would recommend him to others the same type of checking of the heating system.

Description of Work: This company was great to work with. Our furnace had been turned off for a week, while we waited to get it serviced. We had tried to work with another company who we finally cancelled after waiting for them for over 5 hours the prior Saturday. The Silas technician showed up when they said that he would, performed the work at a very good price and left a happy customer behind. I plan to bring them back in the spring to perform a service on our a/c unit.

Description of Work: Cleaning service performed as requested and as advertised. No issues there. My less than satisfactory experience occurred because the person they sent out did not identify that the pipe leading out of my boiler was an expansion tube that was leaking water. As it turns out, my system is leaking about a quart of water every few days. I would have appreciated a better evaluation of my system.

Description of Work: This was for an Angie's List Big Deal, to have our furnace inspected before cold weather set in. The technician was prompt and clean, very courteous and engaging. he performed the check and fixed a small issue with the furnace's front plate,. He also cleaned the igniter mechanism. He answered all my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly without trying to sell me anything. Highest rating.

Description of Work: I have no way to know how well they did, because I was not there at the time. The price was good, but most companies offer the same as a loss-lead. But they did show up on time. We shall see this winter if the machine works properly.

Description of Work: Started with the service call, they were able to send someone out the same day. Gave an estimated time of arrival and Joey showed up within that time. Joey was knowledgeable and respectful. Educated and assessed the possible problem. Also, installed a digital themostat ensuring to confirm price. Very grateful for the professionalism and care given to my concerns.

Description of Work: We had Sila install an air conditioning system in our historic (1911) house and were (and are) very very happy. First of all, they did the work on time and didn't make a mess. The product is awesome. New news is after the HOTTEST july in history in DC our electric bill is 1/3 of what it was when we had window air conditioning units. The couple of times we've had a problem (for example when the system auto-shut-off during extreme weather stress) they were immediately responsive and came when promised and got everything on track!

Description of Work: We wanted to have AC installed with the minimal amount of disruption to our home. We had read about the high velocity AC and noticed that they seemed to specialize in this. The process was professional from start to finish. Brentin the rep came out to do a site inspection. Walked us through the process and gave us a qoute within 24 hours. There was no pressure to sign a contract and he answered our many questions. We obtained 2 other qoutes one higher one lower but the level of sophistication was not there compared to Silas/ Brentin.We signed a contract with them and paid the deposit. Work started right on the day it was scheduled to. I think what I loved most was that we didn't have to move a thing. The workers were like elves in the night. Showed up right at 8,worked,cleaned as they worked and after 2.5 days it was done. I couldn't believe it. Brentin came everyday to c heck on the progress and made sure that all was going according to plan. We totally enjoyed our AC last year and would highly recommend this investment. It is money well spent. If you want the least amout of disruption you need to go with Sila.
