It went very well. The installer was on time and did an excellent job uninstalling the old door and installing the new door. He was courteous and very professional. In compariso to others, the price was reasonable. I would hire them again.

This is not the first time we've used this company. (They've done repairs for us that have always done good work and are quick). At our request, Overhead Door salesman showed us many choices for our custom home, encouraging us to choose ones that would work best for us, even though it turned out to be a less expensive option than what we thought we might pick. (He was right!) We even decided to replace the old spring/pulley mechanisms with new belt drives that were so much quieter. They said it would be 2 weeks, and called us right on the dot for the appointment. The crew showed up promptly, and started in immediately. They were professional, neat, clean, and finished up the large and small doors in less than a day. The doors look wonderful and work great! We are extremely happy with the job, and highly recommend Overhead Door.

We were delighted with how our door opened and closed after the repair work was completed. It has not been this quiet for years! The motor was at least 15 years old. If you had a rating category of Outstanding, that is what I would have chosen for my review.

The Overhead Door tech arrived on time. He took a quick look at my garage opener and announced that it was "too old" and refused to do any work on it. I take this to be a sneaky sales tactic to sell me something expensive that I did not need. Overhead Door was of no help. Just wasted my time. So I bought some quality nylon rollers online for 2/3 less that what Overhead Door quoted me and watched some do-it-yourself videos on Youtube. Replacing the rollers was not difficult. The door works better now, but still sticks occasionally. For now I'll put up with it. I will not put up with companies like Overhead Door. I'm a bit disappointed with Angie's List for not warning me about this company.

The entire experience was good. First a made an apt and someone came to my house to show me the various options, measure etc. There were several options - he explained each in detail. Didn't rush me at all. I decided to go with them and signed a contract and provided 1/3 total cost. He gave me a good estimate as to when the door would be ready. Once it was I received a phone call to schedule installation. Then installer came promptly - worked hard and had it up and ready in a few hours. He went over all the components and features and left me with some literature as well. I had gotten other estimates which were all similar, but in some case the door was not insulated - so for an insulated door I thought the price was very fair. Additionally I like the fact that they not only install the doors - but manufacture them as well.

I called Monday morning at 7:30 AM for a garage door opener which had failed over the weekend. I explained my situation that I found the gears had failed and needed a new opener. I got an estimate over the phone and agreed to the install. By 9:30 AM their technician James Green was on site. James installed a new opener, wired buttons and safety beams. The previous wiring ran all over the garage and James' wiring is uniformed and neat. James also follow up after himself and cleaned up all old parts to include running a magnet across the floor to find any hidden staples. Service within 3 hours of making the call and up and running within 6 is very impressive. Typically service providers want to come out an evaluate the situation, provide a quote and then schedule a appointment. I loved the fact that I could do all this over the phone. The service I received is what I expect, especially since I'm also a service provider and have high standards. Nice job James and everyone at Overhead Door Co. of Washington D.C.

I contacted the company on 11/10/15 and they called back the same day! They came out to do the work the next morning (less then 24 hours after contact!!). They were right on time, polite and professional. The garage door is fixed, opens quietly and it is a joy to have it working again. I would absolutely recommend this company for their very fast reply, fixing the door within 24 hours and doing an excellent job.

Work on 8/26 took 11 hours by one person (Tyler) aided part of the time by another employee. Both employees did a fine job and I was particularly impressed by the competence and hard work of Tyler.

After getting three rough estimates for a particular type of steel door via e-mail on Angie's list, I requested that the provider come to my home to provide a more detailed estimate. Although the estimator did upsell me from the type of door I originally requested, I got a better insulated, more durable door for the extra $200. My Homeowner's Association had to approve the door, which caused a delay of about two weeks. After we received approval, we contacted the company and the door was installed the next day (luckily they had one in stock because we ordered a door without windows). The installer was pleasant and professional, but it took him a little longer to install the door than the 4 hours he originally estimated. This was because the estimator failed to note that we had a "Dutch opening," which required the installer to return to Beltsville to get additional materials (we live in Olney). We are pleased with the door and the services provided by Overhead of Beltsville. They were very responsive to all inquiries and accomodated our need for quick installation. .

Tech was extremely professional and helpful

The provider was on time, in fact early. He explained the problem and repaired the door. It continues to work well. My only partially negative comment is that the gentleman really was not full of personality and I had to work to get him to communicate. However, it really wasn't a problem, just a personality difference

They were very good and I was able to use my Angie's List discount with them. The technician was knowledgeable and they came relatively quickly. They came within two days of the appointment.

Met or exceeded all expectations. Garage doors continue to work great and insulate much better than the old ones. They also have a way to close large uneven gaps between the doors and the floor (part of the garage must have sunk after being installed originally, so there was about a 3" gap on one side of each garage door). The only reason I would not use them again is because of service on a separate service with them, where they replaced the garage door opener and then did not stand behind their product when it failed after normal use.

The installation went great - professional, respectful of the property, timely, etc. We used the opener 5 days per week for months and then used them again to replace the actual garage doors (that work not included in this review). Since then, we downsized by a car and so used the opener only a couple times a week. Unfortunately the plastic housing the motor and the wires was either defective or cheaply made to begin with, because about 18 months later the housing failed, so the opener was listing at about a 45-degree angle from the ceiling. The bolt holding the plastic was secure, but the plastic had broken around the bolt so the bolt was no longer holding the housing. We called it in immediately and they sent a service technician out the next day. Unfortunately, the only options we were given were to purchase a brand new opener (the entire thing again, only 18 months later) or they could see if we could buy only the plastic parts. I asked why they thought we would buy the opener again when this one failed after only 18 months and they had no answer. They did not charge the normal service fee for this visit at least. Their service and professionalism have been exceptional throughout all our dealings with their company, and their work order paperwork does say that they provide *no warranties*, express or implied. Even so, I find it rather reprehensible to not stand behind their product unless they know that they are cheaply made, in which case they shouldn't be selling them to unsuspecting consumers. I wish we had kept the loud and reliable opener that we had prior to using Overhead Door.

They are great. Although, they have not called me yet for my door that they said they would order. I’m upset, frustrated, and angry that they have not called me back yet as to when this will be replaced. It's been 2 weeks now.

The service was outstanding. One person came out and took about two to two-and-a-half hours. I would tell a friend or family member they are efficient and have good quality work (top work).

They came the same day. I just consulted with them by phone on a garage door opener.

Installer stated that the chain was bad and needed replacing. This would take 5-7 days to get. Garage door would be operational in the meanwhile. We have a standard Lift Master Garage door mechanism. Called another service provider who fixed the problem without replacing the chain. Problem was with the motor cogs, not the chain. Overhead Garage doors misdiagnosed the problem, charged me and left me with an unusable door. I would not recommend this company.

The provider called back promptly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. The technician called the next day to let me know he was in route, and he arrived at the appointed time. He worked quickly to fix the problem. The service was excellent. When it came time to give me the total, he told me that the bill was $366. $120 was for the first hour of labor, which is what they said on the phone, and $240 was for the two sensors and the circuit board. After he left, I went on the overhead garage door website and priced the parts myself. The total retail price for the parts was $120. UPDATE: The owner of the company contacted me to explain his company's pricing and to see how he could provide good customer service. He explained that his company is competitively price in the market. We didn't agree on the pricing, but I was very appreciative that the owner contacted me and provided me with good customer service.

They arrived early and were very professional and polite. They completed the work in about 4 hours and cleaned up. The opener was much quieter than the old one. They explained in detail what they did and how to operate with the new opener. I was very satisfied with the work done and the professionalism of the crew.

They were a little pricier than Home Depot or Lowe's but it was well worth it. They were professional and everything went well. My garage door is very high tech and extremely quiet. They had multiple color options and my garage door came in quickly and they installed it two days later. They even came out when it was very cold. They were finished within 4 hours.
