Description of Work: Provider replaced a two-car garage door. They were prompt (doing the work two days after we got aprroval by our HOA) and the installer was on time and professional. We probably paid a little more than we could have elsewhere, but we are pleased with the service and the product.

Description of Work: Originally I contracted with Overhead Door to replace 2 old garage doors. The sales representative was very helpful and the installer was professional, punctual and thorough - the doors looked great and he left the site very clean. A number of months later I had trouble with one of the doors and a repair person was at my house the next morning to fix the problem at no cost to me since it was still under warranty. The repair person was very pleasant and personable, and inspected the door for possible problems very thoroughly. When the problem re-occured a short time later, the technician installed a new opener at no cost, no questions asked.

Description of Work: They installed two new garage doors and one garage door opener. The service was completed on schedule and the technician was very professional. I plan to have the other garage door opener installed this summer.

Description of Work: He arrived at the expected time. He removed the old garage door and rails, put up new rails and door. He, also, removed an old, non-working door opener. He demonstrated the door and made sure to point out how to lock it. I was very impressed that one man was able to do this job. The door looks great and opens/closes with ease. |

Description of Work: The spring broke. We called about 4 pm and their technician, Dante, was on his way back to their shop and stopped to repair our door. We had thought that we would not have service so quickly. There were a few extra adjustments that required more time on his part, but he continued until it was completed and operating well. He was a very pleasant, polite young man. We needed to talk with the manager the next day in order to get our Angie's list discount, but their was no problem doing so.

Description of Work: We hired them to replace the motor on an ancient garage door opener, and we liked them so much that we had them come back and replace the garage door. They provide excellent service and explain clearly what the options are, what they plan to do, how much it will cost, and the timeline. Even my (very picky) husband was impressed.

Description of Work: This company is rip off. I called and made an appt and they said the $99 for 1 door to service and addtional door $30. This involves the service is upto 1 1/2hours. James came in and did the work in 10min and said that the other door needs a spring and it cost addtional $40. We told him to goahead and put the spring. Then he come up with total cost iof $260, which was soak to us. We told him the service deal and showed him the ad from the home Mag. He doesnot want to do the routine check on the other door. Finally we had to pay him $99 lube/penetrating oil which was done in 10min. This company is rip off. Make sure what service you get when schedule for tune-up.

Description of Work: Old garage door opener stopped working. Sproket replaced. Nylon gear, amazed it lasted this long (maybe 20 years, used daily. I have always used Overhead Door, going back perhaps to the 70s when I lived in Bethesda. Repair calls are very infrequent. This might be the third or fourth time I've needed garage door repair. That I even remembered to call them back indicates I was impressed. This time, they had to come back and couldn't get to me until the day after the next business day. Re-fixed (some kind to adjustment re-adjusted) by different technician. Both very professional. CAVEAT: work performed is warranteed for 30 days. The lady who took in the phone order seemed to think this was calculated from the time the re-fix occurred (which is not really in the customer's control) as opposed to the time it was phoned in. How does one evaluate the reasonableness of the cost? Seemed to be equal to, perhaps, a plumber or electrician visit.
