Mashav Relocation

Description of Work: Moved large furniture from 3BR in Ellicott City, MD to Federal Hill, Baltimore MD. These guys were unbelievably efficient in moving. Wrapped everything up and got it to the new place without a scratch, way more impressed with them than i was with the relocation company that moved us down here from New England. The estimate was for 5 hours and they completed it in 7, which was extended due to the tighter space of the new location. I would absolutely use them again but I would get have 4 guys instead of 3, I think it could have been done in the original estimated time with one extra guy.

Description of Work: Using subcontractors, they picked up my goods in Chicago on Thursday, 5/29. Using other subcontractors, they delivered them in DC on Monday, 6/1. There were 19 boxes, 4 wardrobes and a couple of other odd items (e.g., dog crate) in my shipment, which made up a partial load. I knew they would store them in Chicago until they had a full load to send to DC. However, when they were delivered I was missing one box. I complained to Mashav, who told me they had checked with the warehouse and not found my box. Their explanation: the box-count may have been wrong.

Description of Work: They moved my things from Maryland to South Carolina.

Description of Work: Mashav moved two elderly ladies from their one-bedroom apartment in Laurel, MD to a subsidized housing complex in Salisbury, MD. The laborers were great, prompt, professional and wonderful to work with. Was not nearly as impressed with the management. In terms of courtesy and professionalism, they did not match up to the laborers. We ended paying several hundred dollars more (about 20-25%) more than what we planned for. There was a disagreement as to the final pricing. We disagreed with how they calculated it but there was no negotiation with them and we ended up paying the several hundred dollars extra. Would we hire them again? Only if we didn't have to deal with the management. The laborers, as stated, were great. Otherwise, no.
