Mashav Relocation

It went well. They showed up on time. They were courteous, They got right to it. They did not know the exact address where we were moving to. I had to kind of give them directions on where to go.

I recently moved from a 2 bed 2 bath in Rockville MD to a 2 bed 1 bath in Washington DC and was referred to Mashav Relocation Moving Company by a friend. The movers were great! They showed up right on time and moved all of my stuff, including bulky and heavy furniture into the truck (from the second floor) within an hour, and took one more hour to move everything upstairs to the new place. I was so impressed with how quickly they moved everything, especially since they charge by the hour. They wrapped all of my furniture in blankets and nothing was damaged at all. I highly recommend their services and will be calling them for my next move for sure.

We recently purchased a home and began looking for movers to move larger items desk, entertainment center, sectional, televisions, etc. We were very hesitant to hire just any company so we did as much research as possible and received quotes from numerous different companies. We got an angies list subscription primarily for this reason. We eventually narrowed it down to two companies and although Mashav Relocation wasn?t the cheaper of the two we went with them because they had better reviews. We came to agreeable terms with the company no problems there and hired them for 1 Truck, 3 Men, 4/hrs, $129.00 per hour. They ensured us if the service did not take 4 hours we would only be paying for the time that they were moving us or in transit between our old residence and new. On moving day the movers called us prior to arrival, which was nice and showed up on time at approx. 8 am. They were very professional in the wrapping and care of our furniture and ensuring no damage was done to the apartment we were leaving. They packed all equipment efficiently and in less time than expected. They drove to our new home quickly and unpacked everything and moved everything to where we wanted it quickly and causing no damage finishing at approx. 1050. So no problem with the quality, responsiveness, and Punctuality. The issue arose when it came time to pay and finalize the paperwork. So, the lead mover comes to me and says I will put from 8:00 am to 12:00 am bring the total to approx. $595 on the paperwork. I inform the gentleman that it is only 10:50 which should decrease the price approx. 129 dollars as you were only moving for approx. 3 hours. He tells me it will take an additional 30 minutes to an hour to pack and clean blankets and if I sign for them leaving at 12:00 I can call the manager tomorrow and get full reimbursement for the hour instead of partial. My wife chimes in and says that that makes no sense if we sign for the full four hours and its only 10:55 ish when you?re getting ready to leave; your manager does not have to believe us when we say you left early as we signed your document saying you left at 12:00. He said ok well it will still take us an additional 30 minutes to pack and clean the blankets used to wrap your furniture. So we agreed to pay for part of the hour as they had just finished up at about 10:55; we believed that it would take them additional time to reset and store their equipment. So we paid him and went to unpacking next things we know they are pulling out of the driveway at approx. 11:15. So at no time was it going to take them 30 minutes to an hour to reset. We call their manager and ask them what is going and tell them that we are paying for the time that they are not here or working for us. They get us in contact with the lead mover who tells us we are paying for them to take the blankets off for sterilization that they can either do in front of us or at the warehouse. We decided not to argue and just write up the review instead, below is verbatim what the contract says we were supposed to be paying for. Very good moving, but if you do hire them ensure that you know what you are paying for and if it sounds weird to you call and put their manager on the phone. "Movers, transportation, mileage, gas, load &unload at pick up and delivery, disassemble & reassemble all normal furniture, basic liability insurance(0.60c per lbs/article) and free blanket wrapping of all normal furniture. "

They showed up on time and did a great job! The 3 movers were nice and fast working , the appointment set up was easy over the phone and I am glad we used them. The movers also helped us pack our kitchen items and china cabinet and completed the job quickly. Job well done!

Great from the get go, when I called Mashav Movers to inquire about cost, until we were completely moved and signed the end paperwork, they were polite, professional, and hard working. We had no complaints. I had all my questions answered over the phone and scheduled the move all within about 10 minutes. We moved from a two bedroom to a three, and were recommended 3 movers for. They arrived on time (8:45AM) within the hour window I was told they would (8-9AM). Before they started moving, they did a walk through and estimated it would take 5-6 hours. They did a great job moving everything, despite having to navigate home stairs and no furniture or anything was damaged or lost. They finished in exactly 5 hours. There were no extra costs for them to box up the televisions and computer monitors ,Alex and Victor were great, super-fast and professional. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone planning a move! I am pleased with the service we received and would not hesitate to use them again.

On February 28, 2015, this moving company wasscheduled to arrive at my home between 7:30am-8:00. Three men from the company arrived late to my home at approximately 8:30am. It took them approximately 4hrs to complete the loading. I allowed the men to proceed to my new address, ahead of me as I finished up on loading some items into my car as well as checking over the house to make sure everything was secure and all items were removed. I left 45 min to an hour after the movers to proceed to the new address. While en route, I actually passed the movers on the highway and reached my new address 45 minutes before they arrived. 30-min after I reached my new address, I called them to inquire about why it was taking them so long to arrive and the driver stated that they were only 5 minutes away. When they finally arrived, they immediately began unpacking my items off of the truck. This took another 3 hours to complete. After paying for the service, the movers left and I immediately began unpacking. I quickly noticed items were missing. I noticed that a large box that contained an expensive cookware set was missing. This cookware set was purchased as a gift from my mother and was never used. I noticed that one of the boxes that contained my nurses scrubs were also missing. Several boxes of my shoes were missing. A box of DVD's was missing. And more than half of my son's clothes were missing. I called the driver the next day, Sunday, and asked him about these missing items and he stated that he didn't notice anything left in the truck when they left. He also said he would check the truck again and call me back. I never heard back from the driver so I decided to wait until the next business day to call your office to report these missing items to a manager. So I called your office that Monday following my move date and spoke with Dee Ferman and informed her of my missing items. Dee immediately began defending the movers. I told her that the movers stole from me and she repeatedly stated that she knows them personally and that they'd never steal from anyone. I called back again on Tuesday afternoon and spoke with the manager named Ran, who continued defending the movers, stating that they did not steal anything from me and have no reason to do so. I got absolutely nowhere and received no help nor concern about my stolen belongings. To date, I have not uncovered these missing items nor have I received an apology from Ran nor Dee Ferman. In fact, the manager has threatened to sue me for not paying him in full (I deducted money to replace the stolen items). Unbelievable!!! BEWARE!!! THIS COMPANY IS A COMPLETE RIP OFF!! THEY ARE WOLVES IN SHEEPS CLOTHING!! They come across very professional over the phone to get you to agree to hire, then they steal your property during the transaction. I cannot believe these thieves stole my baby's clothing. The boxes were labeled, so they knew what was in all of them. They took what they wanted without apology or regard. AGAIN, BEWARE!

Great job! I asked the movers to be my son's apartment at 7 a.m. because elevator was reserved for 9 a.m, on delivery and they showed up on time, did a great job, very pleased.

After hurting my back trying to lift a fridge back in2011 I insist never to use budget, Penske, U-Haul or any other truck rental service and just let the professional moving companies do it. Mashav Relocation services turned out to be an excellent moving company; the movers were very nice, true professional apartment movers and packers. I have had them handle my home office move as well as my apartment move at the same time. They were quick and highly efficient. Best DC movers I have had to deal with in a long time.

There were some extra costs with the deal that were not properly explained, I would much rather use a different company. I am currently in the process of receiving an refund from Angies List.

The move went so smoothly because of the fantastic guys from Mashav. They were professional, courteous and highly skilled. I couldn't recommend them more, They were incredible.

It was terrible. They were unclear about the location of our belongings throughout the whole process, and the whole process took eight weeks. They arrived with our belongings in their truck, but no crew to unload it. The first time I met my new neighbors, in fact, was when the movers knocked on their door and asked them to help unload our belongings.

It was fine. They were very prompt, quick and professional. With regard to price, I don’t have anything to compare it to. I thought they were a little expensive.

They did a pretty good job. Only 3 wine glasses broke. Business office was very responsive while trying to get my business and during the day of the move, but not very responsive after that. Figuring out a delivery date was very hard--read the fine print. They can deliver any time in a 2 week window after you say you're ready. I think the business reps glossed over this and over promised, which was a problem because most of our baby's items were with the movers. The people who actually packed, loaded, and unloaded our items were great.

The guys showed up on time and did a great job at a good price, can't ask for more.

We have moved a few times with different providers and I am not just talking about renting a truck like U-Haul,Penske or Budget. we had the whole U-Pack and Movex Trailers, PODS, and even Mayflower service,so I know a lot more about the whole process of moving then the avenger person.And let me tell you,no matter how you look at it or however you plan and plan ahead I have learned that it is exhausting and expensive no matter what! I choose Mashav relocation guys because the rep was nice and seemed like a genuine person (Thanks Dee!) and I don't regret the decision! All of the employees were nice and down to earth ...so I just wanted to write and say THANKS for the really awesome service we received from Mashav moving.It made the whole move much more stress and pain-free than we could have hoped for. The guys who came to help us worked really efficiently, were very careful with our belongings and did the work with a smile!

We moved from Silver Spring MD to Long Island NY at the end of April 2014.We wanted to say what a FANTASTIC crew we had! Everything was great from the moment we first called them until we settled in our new home! Dee, who took care of all of our questions and issues was AMAZING! Mike and his crew, Roger, Jake and Roberto were AWESOME! They were friendly, helpful and wonderful to work with! I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, my sister is moving and I have recommended Mashav Relocation to her. I will recommend your company to everyone I talk to! I thought the quote was a little pricey at first but it was worth every penny!!!All of these people deserve an award or a raise!
