We had a dripping bathtub faucet. Horizon agreed to wave the cal-out fee - which was the first offer of that I'd had. Call out fees ranged from $40-$80, although two companies did offer to deduct the call out fee from the final bill, if I hired them. Horizon were able to get me an appointment that day. The technician turned up on time, was very polite. Diagnozed the problem, gave me a quote, and set about repairing it. Some way in, he ran into additional issues, and reported back. The initial $200-ish estimate was revised to over $1000. We went ahead. The problem of the dripping faucet is fixed. The technician took about two-3 hours to complete the job, and cleaned up well when he was finished. He had to cut through some dry wall to access the plumbing, and fixing dry wall is not his field, so we will need to address that at some point. My husband is not happy about the cost, and is querying the amount charged. The matter is outstanding. It does seem a lot for a dripping faucet. I am very happy that the problem has been solved. The cost stings! That other plumbing companies want to charge call-out fees, makes it economically unsound to get three, or so quotes for a plumbing job, as you could easily blow $200 and get nothing!

The installers were right on time at 8 a.m. and left at 5 p.m. They worked continuously and efficiently. They cleaned up everything and explained everything they did.
