I could not have been more pleased with this service. This is the 2nd pro I have hired thru Home Advisor, and based on my experiences, I will continue to use Home Advisor. Also, being an older couple, we are hesitant to have strangers coming to our house. Using Home Advisor makes us feel more secure about who is coming to our house.

Sharif Koritam came our home to fix our broke HVAC in the hot summer (2017) in South Plainfield. Just about a minute into looking at our HVAC he said its gone past its life and it can't be repaired and said a section of the HVAC system which costs about $1800 - $2000 should be replaced. This being a rental home and with tenant desperate to get his air conditioner back and I requested Sharif to make some work around get the HVAC back up while I think about the options of replacing the whole section as recommended. But Sharif wouldn't do it right away, would insist on replacing the unit from this company that he represents HorizonServices. After I was able to convince him to do a work around, basically a necessary repair to fix my HVAC problem, he would reach his car outside for a spare part and got the whole HVAC system back up within a minute. For this very tiny spare part, I forgot the name of the part, he charged me $275 including his service charges. I later searched around and reached a store to find out that spare part wouldn't have cost me more than $20. Not only that Sharif tries to make me spend much much more money on replacing something that can be repaired very easily (like he took less than a minute to replace that part) for much less money.

Professional, courteous and great customer service

The professional spent much time with me explaining my heating and air systems. He got the ac working again for a reasonable price.

Very responsive to emergency I had with a leaking air conditioner. Contacted me right away. Sent Tech quickly to repair. I ended up replacing A/C units. Representative from Horizon and Installation Techs were exceptional. Very professional.

They set an appointment very soon. The technician was on time and found the problem in 30 minutes. As our thermostat is quite new, they suggest we ask the installation company to fix it as it may still remain in warranty.

The technician was very pleasant. He was knowledgeable about my system and checked the outside unit and inside unit to be okay. My upper zone AC was not cooling. He diagnosed the problem to be a faulty thermostat but was unable to correct it because it is linked to my alarm system. He spent about an hour but did not charge me as he was unable to perform a service. He explained the problem clearly to me and wrote a note for me to show to the alarm system techs. I purchased a year contract for tuneup and maintenance of my system for a reasonable price. I would use Horizon again.

Mr Allen was prompt, polite and respectful. He answered my questions and did a great job on both my account and heating.

I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.
