It took a long time for the owner of the company to contact me back - several months at least. After I explained to him that I had a much larger project he called me back and came promptly. He measured and gave me a quote. The proposal was much higher than a few other quotes I had received. It was not comparable at all. I felt like he was trying to quote high and make a large margin. I ended up forfeiting my $99.

This was one of the special deals. The Company never did contact me. Angies list did refund my money. I have since located other masonry companies

It didn't go at all, never heard from GO Contractors Group LTD again after paying my money!

After the initial purchase of the Big Deal, we called GO Contractors Group in early October to make arrangements to show owner Nestor Gomez the work we needed done and some additional work we might use his company for in the future, if we are happy with the work he does for the Big Deal. He returned my phone call the next day and we made an appointment for him to come and look over the work. Because of medical issues we had to call him and postpone the appointment for 2 days, at which time he came promptly at the time he said he would come, looked over the work around the outside of the home, and said he would do the work within two weeks. He was very friendly and cooperative and seemed eager to proceed. This is the last we heard from him. we have called twice asking him to come and do the work, which we wanted done before the winter weather arrives. If he does the work and we are pleased, we will amend this review in a more positive light. But I feel we are being taken for granted since he's already received the money--there's no incentive for him to be in any kind of a hurry. At this point we are very unhappy with this company's performance.

The crew arrived on time the and did all work as specified in the estimate within an 7 hour period.

The quality of the work was uneven. On the up side, they did a good job of repairing the patio door and preventing further leaks. Whilst the job was functional it was not up to craftsman standards. The repointing and painting I was less happy with. This was executed in a sloppy fashion with many areas of repointing missed. The painting was not even and the painter got paint on the screens of the windows where he was working. They tried to clean the paint off the screens but damaged them and had to take them away to be replaced. This they did at their own cost. Although they cleared up after the work, I had to ask them to put dust sheets down to prevent damage and paint stains to the deck. They did get some stains on the deck but they cleaned this off using a power jetspray (which was good of them). Nestor is a decent guy and fair to deal with. He was always responsive and was available for calls and visits.

Still waiting to see how this one finishes. Very close to asking for a refund on the big deal. ***Update*** After about 2 months of waiting for a time to be scheduled for them to complete masonry repair of our brick they came out with a team and completed all the work in 1 day. Mostly replacement of mortar and brick repair. They did a great job and I would recommend them, other than the long wait.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the work that was done. The crew was punctual, neat and quick. The crew was done in one day. The make the concrete look as close as possible to the existing concrete on the wall. This was tricky because the existing cider block had an unusual bubble shape. The front walkway looks great. I would definitely consider using GO Contracting again because of their professionalism and pricing model.

We purchased a coupon for four hours of masonry work for $99.00. The representative arrived promptly at the time of the estimate and surveyed the work. He gave us an estimate for all of the work needed in the house and a list of repairs that the coupon would cover. We decided not to do the complete work and they did not push us at all. They set up a date for the four hours of repair and showed up on time and completed all of the agreed work. They left the site clean and the two areas that were repaired look much better now.

They were excellent to deal with and perform the service according to the contract---very unusual for contractors these deays.

They did first phase in about two and a half days, then I asked for phase 2, which was done in a day and a half. They came back a day later and did a final power wash.

They came out to check up on the job and never followed through.

In the middle of 2011, I spent $100 bucks on a coupon for 4 hours of masonry repair. GO Contractors ran out the clock on the coupon by not returning emails and phone calls in a timely fashion, if ever. Finally, 1 month before the coupon expired, I was informed that he would honor the coupon, but he couldnt do any work until the spring. In the spring, it took a few months to even get them to return my inquiries again. In June, he came out, but was over an hour late. By August, he lost the notes from the original visit and so he had to come out again before he could give me a quote. Now, I've gotten a lot of quotes on work to be done around my house. GO Contractors is banking on you using them because of the sunk cost of the coupon. The quote they gave me was extremely inflated. Further, he could find absolutely no way to just use a bit more than 4 hours. He wanted to do days of work and structured his quotes to urge me to spend $5000 to get all of the bricks repointed, instead of just doing what I asked. The coupon ended up being nearly useless, because no matter whether I wanted a small job or a big job, the man hours he was estimating were measured in multiple days (even though I know the job wont take that long). Long and short of it: He ran out the clock on the coupon and then because he thought I wouldnt want to lose the 100 bucks on the coupon that I spent, gave me prices, with absolutely no transparency or explanation, that were wild - except for the one that was way more than I wanted or needed, which was a relative bargain. It was all based on fuzzy math in an attempt to push me into spending way more, all because he thought I wouldnt want to lose 100 bucks. Needless to say, I cant even get him to respond to emails but, if I could, I wouldnt be hiring him. I will try to pursue a refund with Angies List, but I doubt they'll honor it since he ran out the clock with delays and unresponsiveness.

I bought a Big Deal voucher because I thought it could get done in that time frame. I called the owner and scheduled what I thought would be the work for the Columbus Day holiday. On Columbus Day, the owner came with a camera, took some pictures, and left. He said he would call me in a couple of weeks to schedule the work. In the meantime, the company appeared in another Big Deal. The guy never called. I called him and he didn't remember me and said he'd have to have to look at his records and call me back. He never did. I left several more messages and didn't hear back. After getting a recording again, I called Angies List and requested a refund. He called back right after I hung up with the Angie's List representative and I told him I had just requested a refund. He said he would send a crew the next day. They did come and do the work, so I'm not entitled to a refund. They did a reasonably good job, I'm just annoyed that it took so much aggravation for such a small thing.

He was pleasant. I decided not to work with him because the description he gave of what he was offering to do for the repair was too vague to make a good judgment about his expertise. He couldn't provide me with sufficient detail about the materials he would use or how it would prevent future repairs.

GO Contractors did a great job pointing up and resetting a few flagstones on our front walkway. The crew was punctual, hardworking and courteous. Well done.

They were great. The work they did was good. I thought they knew what they were doing and they cleaned up well. They seemed knowledgable in the work. They explained something I didn't need done, so I was confident they weren't trying to upsell me.

At first, they called to see when they could schedule the work. They were quite responsive, but then they must have gotten a bunch of work and when they realized we only wanted the 4 hours of work, we seemed to fall to the bottom of the list. Once we finally scheduled, they were prompt, professional, and helpful. They did try to upsell some additional services and did not get as much done in the 4 hours as I expected them to (just repointed a handful of bricks). But I suspect that's what we get for only $99.

Very impressed with professionalism and responsiveness of owner Nestor Gomez Orlando. Workers,including foreman Jaime, were on time each day, used their time to work consistently and without wasting time with unnecessary filler activity. Cleaned up the work space very well. Only drawback was neighbors complained, to me, about the excessive dust generated by using the grinding tool to remove all the old mortar. Cars, doors and windows of my neighbors were affected. I informed Mr Orlando about this. He was apologetic to me and one of my neighbors who was present. Mr Orlando Indicated that, in the future, he will instruct his workers to water down the mortar as they are using the grinding tool to remove old mortar.

Did a fair job. Didn't clean up afterwards. Slow response time. Days

Nice guys, but scheduling was a nightmare. If given the chance I believe they would have done a great job, but for months they were never available in my Petworth neighborhood on the days I would be home (Mondays and weekends). Angies List gave me a full refund of the $99 special that they advertised.

The entrance sign into our community was destroyed as a result of a car accident. The G. O. Contractors Group LTD. found brick that matched our old columns, removed the old columns, built new columns and clean up all working materials. They also hung our old sign until our new sign was ready.

Very professional approach and work, punctual and efficient. Good crew. Have used G.O. twice now, would use again.

I bought an Angie's list Deal for 2 hours of masonry work almost a year ago. I contacted Nestor and he came out quickly to give an estimate. It was a month or so before I decided how much of the work we would go ahead and do (more than 2 hours was needed). Unfortunately at that point, getting in touch with Nestor was near impossible. I actually thought the company might have closed down. When I did finally contact him, it had been so long that he ended up needing to come out to give an estimate again, since the original copy could not be found. I was persistent however, since I had already bought the "deal" and the reviews on Angies list from people who had actually had work done (as opposed to those who were frustrated trying to contact them) were good. The work was done last week over basically one day, with some clean up the next day. So far, so good. Work looks nice. Nestor was very professional, as were the two workers. We did end up deciding to do more work than I had initially intended, based on Nestor's recommendation, Nestor was not at all pushy about it and was happy to do more limited work if we wanted that. They are coming by one more time to do yet another clean up, as the grout gets everywhere and is easier to wash away, now that it is dry. We may use them again for another small job.

A foreman and two workers showed up. The foreman told men what needed to be done and left for other jobs. Two men ground out several mortar joints and adequately cleaned the joints in preparation for mortaring. Their application of the mortar was messy. In many cases the mortar overflowed the joint. Clean up left the joint lines looking very amateurish. The worst part was that they seemed to make no attempt to match the existing mortar color. They used a sandy yellow and ran it straight into a gray mortar joint.
