It did not go. He never came back.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for G.O. Contractors Group. The service went fine, it was pretty good. They came out almost immediately when I called them. I think they did a very good job even though I had to pay more but when I look at it at an hourly rate, it was not a bad deal.

Provider called on the day of the appointment asking to move the appointment earlier in the day. I rearranged my schedule to be home at the time of the new appointment. Provider showed up 1.5 hours late. Explained what I needed done, provider stated the work would be done by 5/16. Left message for provider and have not heard back from him. While I understand Angie's List does not control provider professionalism. All providers that agree to post a Big Deal on Angie's list should also be held accountable and agree to compensate customers in situations where they do not perform the work committed, show up as committed or return customer calls. If a provider is not willing to agree to those terms, that is an indication that they are not a provider whos' services should be offered to Angie's list customers. It is important to remember that customer time is not free either.

Crew was assigned out and showed up as scheduled, and completed the work in an efficient and professional manner.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They were great. I actually called them right away and he came over and gave me a written estimate. I paid him a deposit and I think he got a little busy and kind of forgot about me. I called and he was able to send his crew over right away and they did a great job. I called them back because some of the mortar was a little bit messy and he came back right away and power washed it. They were a little expensive. I would use them again.

Everything was great. I had them do a larger job and they applied this amount as a credit. They did all the work in one day and they were very easy to work with.

It took a while to get in touch with the contractor, which did not respond to first two voicemails left. But once we spoke, the project was completed very quickly and with satisfactory quality.

The project went well. They showed up on time and stayed within budget. No worries and no hassles.

The widening and drywall work to the closets were superb. However, I made the mistake of paying the full amount before the work was complete. G.O. was suppose to come back after my hardwood floors were complete to install a sliding closet door. Once Nestor received my final payment he no longer felt the need to complete his side of the contract. I called over five times to schedule a time for them to come. Nestor called back once saying he would get back to me with a time for them to come by. He never called back. I left two follow-up voicemails. Needless to say I never heard back and the closet door was never installed.

I've called them several times for redemption of this big deal and to set up a time to get the work done. However, every time I call, an answering machine picks up with a message stating that they will call me back -- and they never do!

He arrived... he attempted an up-sell,,, as the simple task that I wanted him to accomplish he didn't like. I declined his offer and I never heard from him again... he left with my money and never refunded my 'Big Deal', even after two attempts to ask them to do so. Say hello to "credit card charge-back"!

The initial contact with the contractor was very difficult. However, I am glad that I continued trying because the final outcome was of very good quality and they were quick and didn't leave a mess. I would use them again.

I came home to find that they had only fixed a couple of the loose tiles. They said it took 2 guys 2 hours to fix the tiles and didn't have time to even out the sidewalk. There were only a couple loose tiles and they are approximately one foot square, so it is really a stretch to say that it took 2 guys two hours to glue them back on.

My 1926 row house has some unique stones and several were missing. Turns out there were a few of them lining the flower bed. They took out a stone and cut it in two to fill the gaps. Also filled several other cracks. The work looks great. We had some communications problems in the beginning, I have a crazy work schedule they were patient and fit me in as soon as the weather cleared up. They even patched up a spot on my porch with the left over cement (?). All this for with my $99 Big Deal. When I am ready to have my house repointed I will definitely call them.

Nothing done no return of calls. They should get out of the business.

We had them over to provide a quote but the bid they gave us was much higher than we anticipated, or thought was necessary. We had a 4 foot long, by 5 foot wide retaining wall that needed some repairs. It was starting to lean to one side, and the front was starting to crumble. We wanted to use the existing brick and straighten it out. The estimator who came out was prompt, polite and professional, but we are not going to pay the amount they gave.

I own a older home and need the back stairs repaired as they were very old and falling apart -- -more importantly unsafe to use. So I needed a mason to create a new stairwell for us. G.O. Contractors were prompted and worked quickly to get the job done. The job was done well and stairs still look great. I would definitely recommend them and will reach out to them to use them again.

It took a little time to get the appointment scheduled, but once they came to do the actual work, we were very satisfied. The completed it in one day and cleaned up the mess very well.

OVERALL, I WAS NOT PLEASED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONALISM. I WAS EMAILED A CONTRACT ON MONDAY TO SIGN. ON THE NEXT DAY, WHILE I WAS NOT HOME I CAME HOME AND SAW A TRUCK IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE. I HEARD THIS NOISE AND WONDERED WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE WORKER WHO SPOKE LIMITED ENGLISH WAS POWER WASHING MY PATIO. HE HAD GONE AROUND TO THE BACK OF MY HOUSE AND FOUND AN UNLOCKED DOOR, THEN CAME INSIDE UNPLUGGED A LAMP AND PLUGGED IN THE POWER WASHER WITH AN EXTENSION CORD AND BEGAN WORK. I CALLED THE COMPANY AND DIDN'T GET AN APOLOGY OR ANYTHING. I STARTED TO CALL THE POLICE BUT FELT SORRY FOR THE WORKER. AFTER SEARCHING MY HOUSE TO ENSURE NOTHING WAS MISSING OR COMPROMISED, I LET IT GO. I TOLD THE OWNER I WASN'T PREPARED TO PAY THEM BECAUSE THEY JUST SHOWED UP AND STARTED WORKING. HE LEFT THE WORKERS TO RESUME WORKING. HE ASKED ME TO SEND A CHECK PAYABLE TO HIM (NOT THE COMPANY) IN THE MAIL. THEY WERE NOT BUSINESS PROFESSIONALS AT ALL.

This was a good Big Deal. They showed up on time and did quality work. I appreciate the worker's professionalism, dedication and honesty with their work.

It took about a month from the time I purchased the Big Deal until the contractors actually came out. There was a lot of back and forth via email and cell phone messages. That was frustrating. I was also very annoyed with how late they showed up. I was told they'd be here at 8 but they didn't show until 9:20. That's a lot of standing around waiting on my part. But once they arrived they were polite, courteous and did a good job. I'd very likely use them again.

The work was done well. I had big cracks in the plaster around bricks in a brick wall. They drilled out the old masonry and put in new. It looks nice. The holes are gone. My issue was communication. I started in the fall. The initial inspection went well. Then I scheduled work twice. Now the contractor did say he would call and finalize a time the night before the workers came. It rained. This kind of work cannot be done in the rain. I did not get a call. I wasn't surprised not to get a call, but I would have liked one saying they were not coming. Then I let the winter pass and tried again in the spring. The contractor needed to be reminded of what job this was (no surprise there, really.) This time the workers came and the work was completed well. So you need to stay on top of the job and keep calling.

Email was returned promptly and appointment for estimate was scheduled. Estimate included significantly more work than I felt needed to be done and was extremely costly. I declined to hire the contractor and requested my good deal purchase refunded.

The job went as requested and G.O. Contractor's completed the job with a power wash.
