I paid Angie's $100 for a deal: 3 hours of masonry work. The company was slow to call me back, they wanted to come visit, assess work plan. We made appointment. A man named Nestor Gomez came in mid-December and looked at our brick steps outside our font door -- several loose bricks, need to re re-set. He said job is agreeable, no problem, he will schedule our job at a time tbd... said he'd phone us. He has not phoned. It is March 8, almost 3 months later. I have phoned his mobile #, he has not called back. I want our $100 back, but I don't want to waste 3 months of our time again. I wanted the bricks fixed.
Description of Work: Only this: came and looked at the job we wanted done, said his company would do it, and then never came back.

What he did is falling apart right now. It was terrible. It was not good. I was not happy at all. He did very mediocre, very sloppy work. I thought he was pretty dismissive. I asked him other questions about some other cement work that I needed and he was very dismissive.
Description of Work: I purchased a big deal from them. It was $99 for four hours of masonry repair. He was kind of filling in on some missing cement between some bricks.

They did a great job. I had the pieces, but they said it would be easier to use their own drywall since they wouldn't have to piece together multiple cut-outs for one hole. They did not charge me for their drywall.
Description of Work: This was an Angie's List deal, so I cannot judge the price. Repaired several large holes in drywall from electrical installation.

The Provider, Nestor Gomez with Go Contractors LTD did an excellent job. I am very pleased with the man and his work. All of my interactions with Nestor were great. I liked him the moment we began our talks. He he both texted me and called me to let me know he was on his way and arrived punctually at the agreed time. He was of a pleasant demeanor and I felt very comfortable having him inside my house, which is very important to me. Once he arrived he proceeded to repair the hole in my dry wall. Watching him work, I saw his work ethic and was very satisfied that I had chosen the right man to do the work needed. When the job was completed I was extremely satisfied with the work he had done. I would not hesitate to use his services again and I plan to. I felt Mr. Nestor Gomez was a honest, competent, experienced contractor, with a good heart and excellent customer service skills. I will be recommending him to both family and friends. You can't go wrong with GO Contractors! Thank you! RP
Description of Work: He performed a dry wall repair in my Basement Bathroom adjacent to the rear of my Toilet Tank. The hole was about 12"x12" and was due to a broken pipe.

I feel I got quality work at a bargain price. The contractor worked with me on the price for additional work and I really feel I got a deal. They work was started and completed in the time expected. They cleaned up after themselves. And I have a chimney good as new. The only negative in the whole process was mother nature. Once I purchased the package it rained on and off for the next two weeks. I will use them again for any mason work I have. GREAT JOB.
Description of Work: Took the deal because I knew I had cracks on the top of my chimney. In the past I had two chimney inspections and each quoted me more than $2,000 for repairs. With my Angie special rate and additional work what would have cost more than $2,000 via other companies cost me half. So my chimney was repaired, pointed, and a new cap installed. Doesn't sound like much work but really was. And they did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

The very first arrangement to come out and give me an estimate, I was told the owner would be at my home by 5 p.m. He missed me, but claimed he was sitting there "waiting." I left them three messages with no response. I do not have confidence in this company, and don't want others to go through what I did. Obviously he's too busy or doesn't need the work. I gave this contractor a week and a half to respond.

It started out well. The owner arrived on time for first appointment. He was friendly, personable and professional. He provided me with quotes for all work and offered a discount (10%) on jobs not part of the Angie's Deal (deck stairs and front walkway). A disappointment to note, he indicated that sealing and staining the deck stairs to match the rest of the deck could not be done at that time, and he didn't seem interested in doing it.I received a written proposal by the end of the day. Unfortunately, it didn't break down the individual quotes for each specific job, which made it challenging to compare to my notes. It seemed to match the information I had. The owner and workers showed up on time to start the job. The workers were polite and professional. From there things changed. The plan to demo the walkway, driveway and deck stairs at the same time was not a good idea. Unfortunately, it made it extremely difficult to get to the house. I was away for much of the week, but it was an issue for people like the mail carrier. Something that should have been considered by the contractor. The caution tape placed across the front walkway wasn't secured well (it was tied to the hedges that bordered the walkway), and it came down. The cement didn't dry ask quickly as I was told. Also, the owner didn't mention during the estimate that the cement wouldn't match the original color (more of an issue with the driveway). Following the work, there were cement stains in many places on the curb, surrounding sidewalk, part of driveway not replaced, and in the grass. There was also stains from the cement truck water run off that went down the street to my neighbors property. I was surprised and disappointed about the mess. Also after the cement dried, they didn't even return to remove the caution tape. Later I learned that someone walked on the top part of the walkway before it dried. The contractor tried to repair it by recovering it, but used a color that was darker. It didn't cover the footprints and left the walkway two colors. The repair only made a bad thing worse. Further, I wasn't told about it until I asked why that section was darker. I also noticed an issue with the deck stairs that I wanted to discuss. At the top of the new side piece, it looked like the wood split when it was attached. I contacted the contractor on 12/20/14 about the front walkway, the cement color, and the strength of the deck stairs. He responded and led me to believe the cement color would lighten and the stairs were sturdy. I spoke with him by phone later, and he assured me the same. In terms of the deck stairs, he said he used to quality wood. Well, the color didn't lighten, and since the stairs weren't sealed, they began to warp and split after a few months. I contacted him again a week later about the worst issue, the front walkway, and sent pictures. He promise to look at it and didn't. I contacted him again about it, and he premised again to come by and didn't. I didn't hear from him after that.
Description of Work: Replace concrete side driveway only haft area 261 SF Replace concrete front of the house walkway. 59.5 SF Replace deck wood stairs. Re-point front porch only brick front area (free add on) Clean front porch concrete floor with power wash (free add on).

This was a horrible experience ! This contractor stole $ 28,000 from my 90 year old grandmother and used her money to pay his bills. We filed a criminal complaint and due to the weak laws in Maryland, he only had to pay a $ 50 dollar fine. This was unbelievable, he stole twenty-eight thousand dollars from the elderly, and he pays a $ 50 dollar fine. Please check the Maryland Judicial Records and you will see. I see where Mr. Nestor Gomez had denied using the my 90 year old grandmother's money to pay his bills in his October 15, 2015 response. I will post the court docket number in my next post so that anyone will be able to research the case and see where he entered a plea, but never paid back the money. He knows that this is the truth. in any other state, he would be held accountable.
Description of Work: This contractor was hired to renovate a house for me. He continually asked for the payments, but did very little of the work that he was hired to do. He continually lied about the materials and stalled the progress.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for this contractor. He was incredibly hard to get ahold of, would not return emails or calls, cancelled a visit due to 1 inch of snow, and once I got him out to the house, I had to harass him for weeks to get a written estimate. I reluctantly decided to have him perform some work because of the coupon and the price was fair, but he said he's too busy and would contact me when available. That never happened.

G.O. Contractors was to replace a piece of sidewalk in the front of my house. Everything went OK until one of the slabs started cracking apart. He came out and put some patch materials to fill the crack. The patch looks horrible and it itself is cracking apart now. The owner told me it was caused by a tree root which was a lot bull. He said his employee made the cement 4" thick but it was not. He never showed up for the work but I was there and the thickness was about 2." Also, there was a gap left in a corner of the cement which let water into the basement and down the wall of my tenant's living room. He still charged me $200 to fix the mess.

We had a lot of problems getting together but other than that once they started the job they completed very well. They were finished quickly in two day and I'm happy with it. When I answered your special it said when would you like the service and I put down three different dates. So what I meant was those were the dates when I wanted the drive way done but they took it to mean that's when I wanted them to contact me. So the whole thing was delayed by a month or two. We had some differences with the deal as well but I will give them the benefit of the doubt with that. The workers were splendid. I'm very happy with what they did, it's a good job and they finished quickly.

Originally used this contractor for a small masonry project that went well enough and was low cost. Contacted outside of Angieslist for sidewalk replacement, agreed upon job only to be cancelled because contractor wasn't able to accept credit card payments anymore due to an account issue on their end. Coupon for this contractor and the specific job showed up on angieslist and I purchased as a workaround to the credit card account issue. Job was rescheduled several times, most times without any notification, I had to reach out to find out why no one showed up and when they might. Gustavo told me it's the busy season and things are crazy, which I can respect, but job was rescheduled several times without warning. The angieslist coupon also didn't mention I'd have to pay for haul away. A month after the job, the sidewalk is acceptable and is preventing the water pooling issue we had. However, the part where the sidewalk and the concrete step up meet, has a swath of concrete from the new concrete so it has a mismatching color smear all across the front. Also, there was new concrete that got on the common area sidewalk that was also smeared across 2 feet of that area which I'm sure my HOA will charge me for soon. I gave water to the workers, paid Gustavo his surprise haul away fee and got an improvement over my existing condition but this was not a pleasant experience and I feel I paid too much for a shoddy job.

I purchased a 'big deal' for 4 hours of masonry labor. After 6 attempts to schedule the service they finally came to perform the work. When the job was reviewed and estimated I had pointed out that there were 7 bricks that had spalled and needed to be removed and replaced. Two guys were dropped off with their equipment to perform the work. Nestor called to explain that since I purchased four hours of labor they would only work two hours since there were two of them, which I understand completely. The problem is that one guy was working from the ladder and the other did nothing but stand at the bottom of the ladder, so it was a waste having two guys for this particular job. In the end they worked two hours and removed and replaced three bricks, so not even close to what they estimated. Not a complete waste of money but close to it. I would not recommend them for masonry work nor would I use them again.

This was a sale offer so I can understand, somewhat, the trouble scheduling. The owner told me he had gotten many responses. The frame stayed on for a few days before they returned for it. After they got to me it was agreed the pad should be sloped away from my house wall. The work done does not slop away and has a low spot in the center which acts to channel water away but puddles. So I guess it slopes. When "poring" the cement, they were a bag and a half short of cement and the owner did not bring the needed bags for a while resulting in curing/appearance differences. He told me his second truck broke down and that delayed his response. The after clean up was bad. I've got patches of cement I've had to brake up in may grass and a mound of dirt that was left. They were to fill it around the edges of the new pad. Had to clean up the front also. The owner seemed earnest and well meaning but over whelmed, possibly do to the sale response and loosing his other vehicle . Nothing can be done with the non-slopping slopped pad now. The" late" area has a different surface but I'm glad I have the pad. Minus finishing details, it looks good. I think they maybe better with medium sized jobs. Not all workers speak English.

This was a mixed bag. They cancelled once the night before a scheduled appointment due to illness. The first time they were scheduled to do the work, no one showed up or called to communicate what was happening. When I called the company they had to track down the worker that was supposed to be at my home. Later that day I was told that the truck had mechanical problems. The work was scheduled to be done on a Sunday so that we would not loose another day off work. I really appreciated this. As far as the quality of the work, I would say that it is ok. The used fiberboard rather than two by fours to frame out the walkway so the edges are not as straight as they could be. I appreciated them working on Sunday to make up for the no show/ no call. He also charged my an additional $50 fee for hailing away the demolished old cement. I thought this would be included in the demo or should have been stated in the offer up front.

Everything the customer said it true. Sometimes a job is very difficult but the most important thing is that we finished it and the end product looks beautiful. We have the customer some good ideas for the job and now the steps are easier to use and more flat. We charged extra because the concrete we had to remove was 6” to 8” thick and so that costs more in labor than thinner concrete. I explained this to the customer in detail and agreed to it before the job was begun. I would never start a job and half way through say that the project actually costs more than what I originally quoted. Thank you for your business and your patience as the job was completed.

I took almost 2 hours looking in my records for this customer and also in my records on Angie’s List. I am very sorry but I believe this member might be making a mistake by leaving this review on my company. I was not able to find her anywhere. All of the jobs we do are done with the best quality of work possible. I was very surprised when a opened my reviews and saw this. I hope this member sees my response and call or email me so I can assist her with her and make things right. I have 29 years of experience and it is not fair to write a review like this when we did not do work for her. Thank you very much for reading.

The sidewalk installation went well and looks great. When the formwork was removed on the pad there was irregularities in the surface that is exposed. Contractor has promised repeatedly to fix but has not shown on 3 different dates over the last month. I have no confidence that contractor will show to finish the job. I made the mistake of paying when the concrete was poured and have no leverage to ever get this fixed. Even trying to get Angie's List support to resolve has not helped.
Description of Work: Replaced current sidewalk, added new sidewalk and a pad for new stairs from a deck. The workmanship was good and the finished product is very nice. They were very slow to return and remove formwork and clean up site.
