I asked them to match the existing grout and they didn’t. After 2 hours the owner didn’t come back to pick up his workers. It took him two hours after they finished the work to pick his workers up.

They didn't show up for the initial scheduled estimate but came that evening after I called. I never heard back until I called again a couple weeks later. They really wanted to sell more time, not just do what the deal was. I didn't see how replacing 8 bricks could take more than 4 hours. In the end they completed all i had requested. Not a particularly neat job and I should have specified grout to match existing so the new wasn't so glaring. Had the work area been left clean and the grout selected to reasonably match, it would have made all the difference. Because of the details missed on this small job, I wouldn't use them on anything larger.

It was pretty good. They had a little trouble getting a time slot and when they came , they came at the end of the day and by the time they finished it was dark which is not the best way to operate. What they did for me was fine and I had them come back and do some more but I hadn't anticipated the extra charge for the mortar mix that had to be used which was an extra expense. They were two of them and so instead of four hours it was finished in two hours. When the supervisor came out and gave me an estimate on taking out the brick and replacing brick that was cracked and also replacing mortar I didn't have an interest on spending that kind of money. They did a descent job ounce they were here.

It went very well. They did a good job. They took time aligning the stone so that it looks well. It was a good price for the work that was done.

The work was fine. I wanted him to come back for and it took forever to fix. I don’t remember exactly what the issue was but evidently he goes to his home which is in South America or maybe Mexico so he is not available. I would call him, call him and call him and he wanted to make sure I didn’t give him a bad review because he was eventually responsive but to get business and to just go away like that and not have anybody to cover for you. I wouldn’t mind using him if I knew he was responsive. All the things that he did was fine except whatever it was I needed to do for him to come back for and that came up missing. He eventually came back from wherever he was so it wasn’t like he left me hanging but I didn’t know if he was coming or not and literally, it was months. That’s not acceptable to me. He was professional, I didn’t have any problems with him there but I did with his responsiveness.

We contacted the contractor Mr. Gomez and made and appointment for him to come and look at our home. He arrived as agreeded and looked at our home. We ended up needing more done as we had to have several areas of brick mortar re-pointed. His crew worked clean, worked very hard and were very friendly. I would not hesitate to call this company in the future.

However, they were a no-show (and did not call to alert me to the fact) and I have not heard back from them since. I had a very limited time window for this work to be done, so I asked for a refund of the Big Deal.

I thought it went very well. Mr. Gomez emailed me wihin a day of purchasing the big deal to set up the appointment to review the job and was cheerful, prompt and courteous. He later called with a scheduled time for the repair. I was at work when the job was done and when I got home it was done very nicely. He was very polite and professional. The only reason I gave a "B" on the quality is because the bricks were left with white on them which I will need to clean off and I needed to do some sweeping of concrete left behind. But the work itself is great and I thought the price was very good. Yes, I will use him again.

After the first meeting, which occurred almost immediately and went without a hitch, it took a little while to get on the books (though we expected that because clearly this is a busy company). The only real problem is that we had originally booked them for a Thursday, but another job ran over so they had to reschedule for the following Monday. We bought the big deal thinking our job was small enough that four hours' labor would cover it. And it might have done, except that the Sunday before the crew arrived we embarked on the piece of the project we'd intended to handle, and soon found we were in over our heads. Monday morning, Nestor and his team showed up very promptly, were knowledgeable and professional. They took it in stride that the scope of the project had doubled since our last contact, and simply got straight to work. While I can't speak to how G.O. Contractors' prices compare with others' because we didn't entertain other bids, I can say that the crew seemed to work quickly and efficiently. The hourly rate was clearly explained at the outset, and they didn't do anything to run out the time. The end results were terrific - the patched wall looks better than the original. Overall, we are delighted with the results. NOTE: For those who have had trouble scheduling, we communicated almost exclusively through the Angie's List email system, and that seemed to work very well. In every case we received a reply within 24 hours of sending a message.

They did an excellent job. The pathway and mailbox looked brand new when they finished it. It took less than a day and was a bargain for the price.

Very difficult to get scheduled, but work was ultimately satisfactory.

I bought the Angie`s deal for 4 hours of masonry repair on 8/19/2014 and immediately scheduled an appointment with the contractor for 8/2/2014 between the hours of 9am and 11am. They did not call or show up between 9am and 11am. I called the contractor and left a voicemail and also left a message on Angie`s List messaging. I received a call around noon that someone was on the way to my house at that time. I told the gentleman that it was too late and that I would need to reschedule for the following week on 9/9/2014 for the same time frame. He said okay and never offered any apology or reason for his tardiness. It is now 11:15 on 9/9/2014 and no one is here. I have received no phone call and I left a message on the company`s voicemail that I will not be accepting any services from them and will be leaving a bad review on Angie`s List for their lack of service.

Started right on time and even stayed late to complete the job.

He tried to up-sale me to a repair for $1600 instead of the Big Deal that I purchased. He stated that he would get back with me and schedule a time but I never heard from him again. I'm guessing he just never planned on coming back because I didn't agree to the larger amount. He also gave me business cards to other business's, such as his wife's.

The contactor came out, promised to send me a detailed quote and work that needed to be done. Never received a quote, then decided to proceed with the work since it was for 4 hours only. Provider sends me an email the night before that he can come the next morning early. Sorry, but I need a little more time planning ahead. After not hearing from provider for months I I want my money back. Then provider says he can do the work next week. A little too late. Also, provider's English is very poor, so communication is very hard.

The team was on time, worked efficiently, and did an excellent job. I have referred neighbors to the company.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal. My first and quite possibly my last. Contractor showed up on time for estimate. Said work could be done within 2 weeks. Time passed. Contractor responded to my emails, saying he was very busy; his people working very hard. In my second email, I suggested perhaps the job was too small for him to bother with, but he responded that no, they do both large and small jobs -- just give him time. I did. Meanwhile, I didn't know who had my $99. Turns out it was Angie's LIst, which I finally discovered when I called them and decided to request a refund. My memory of timing is slipping, but I think this was after about 3 months. Something like 1-2 weeks after I requested the refund, I received a phone call from the contractor and within a day or so, the work was done. We weren't home and had no contact with the contractor at that point. I didn't know the status of my refund request, so I called Angie's List again. The refund was still being processed -- it was beyond the 7-10 days stated as the time needed to process a refund -- but at least I found out that they would cancel the refund request and pay the contractor. As for the quality of the work, it was rather sloppy, but since it's in an out-of-the-way location, I don't have major complaints about that. Since the job was small and not expensive, the biggest pain was keeping it on the to-do list and trying to not forget about it. Overall, it think it's easier to deal directly with contractors rather than through Angie's List, but now that I've done one Big Deal, I suppose I would know to call Angie's List sooner if I wanted to try to speed things up.

I needed a handyman to do a few small tasks. I took advantage of a special for $125 by G.o. Contractors Group, Ltd. I never heard from the contractor. That's the whole story.

They didn't show up after many appointments and I got my money back from Angie's List.

I added on significantly to this job. They were responsive and did a good job.

Contacted company. Owner came out to give me an estimate. Scheduled appointment. Workers no showed. Very disappointed.

There was a little trouble getting the schedule set but the address was corrected the contractor's staff arrived, identified the area in most need of repair. The work was done well. The contractor .

Professional, timely service. The new walkway is beautiful!

There were many times that he did not return my calls as promised and the day he scheduled finally was supposed to be there at 8 a.m. and when I called him over an hour after the designated time and left a message on his phone, then again an hour later when he answered the phone. The employees that he sent were nice and thorough. I didn't climb up on the roof to check the chimney but from what I can see from the ground, and when they were working they did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. I feel badly that I cannot give him a good rating. The reason I started with an easy, inexpensive job was to see how they did. But even though the work was fine the coordination between the company and me was not as I had hoped for or expected. He was prompt coming to access the work, but lacking in execution of the work, scheduling and keeping me informed. It took way too long to get the work done. Three months is too long for a minimal job to be completed. It could have been completed while the weather was still comfortable to work on a roof but the day they finally came it was one of the hottest days we have had so far. I felt badly for the workers and if they had come in the 8 a.m time frame as they were supposed to the house would have been shaded and significantly cooler than 11 a.m. when they arrived.

We went back and forth with him. He came out to take a look at the work with him, but he didn’t do anything. He had too much work going on to come back.
