Description of Work: Dad's was helpful in suggesting appliances for our small kitchen. They mention if we ordered before a certain date we would get things at current prices because the prices were going up the following month which they did. The people were all great to work with.

 + -1 moreThey gave me the best service and responsiveness. Chip, whom I work with, is really wonderful. He spent quite a bit of time online to find the exact stove that would work best for me. I haven't yet purchased the stove as of yet as we are remodeling our kitchen currently.

Description of Work: My washing machine died. It seemed to be the motherboard -- however when the gentleman arrived to fix the appliance it was unfixable -- the motor was gone too. I had been without a washer for 2 weeks at that point! I was at work and immediately got on Angie's List, called DADs and over the phone ordered the washer -- Steve was great and gave me excellent information and the lowest price I could find on the web. They don't install but the man who came to install was also professional, on time, and knowledgeable. A kicker is that the repair man told me my dryer was also about to go -- it is a stacked unit -- so I quickly called Steve back and changed the order to include a dryer......then the washer arrived damaged -- but Steve was quick to replace it and all is well. I did learn the the laundry down the street washes and folds for $2/pound -- I could get used to that. Thanks DADs.

 + -1 moreWe got a very good price for this item. They sell appliances. They do not install it. However, at my request Chip Hall of Dad's Appliance arranged for a plumber to come and install it. Since the plumber was available right away Chip let him take delivery of the appliance before he received our check in the mail for the cost of the appliance. Note they prefer payment by check. The plumber Chip Hall arranged charged us a very reasonable amount for the delivery, installation and for hauling away the old water heater, and did a very clean job.
Description of Work: We bought the heat pump water heater that GE started selling early this year.

 + -1 moreThe salesperson inaccurately told me about a price increase on a sub-zero refrigerator and got me to commit to a purchase. When I found a lower price, she agree to match it. I also found out that she was selling me a discontinued model and did not inform me that sub-zero had a new model available (that was even more money). Then she changed her pricing. Found her unresponsive. I canceled the order and she called the other area dealers to get them to rescind the lower price I had been offered.
Description of Work: Final sale was canceled and no goods were delivered.

 + -1 moreI'm very pleased with the service I received. I compared the price of the refrigerator at 5 or 6 other stores and Dad's was by far the cheapest. Delivery/installation fee was also substantially lower than others. The delivery men were prompt and polite and very neat.
Description of Work: Purchased a new refrigerator. Removed old refrigerator and delivered and installed new refrigerator.
