Avoid at all cost. Don't even get HomeServe home warranty cuz that's what they use. They came and fixed the leak by replacing the toilet ring/rubber. During the process, they caused a leak between the toilet tank and toilet bowl and refused to take responsibility saying they didn't touch the toilet tank. They actually did. I watched them when they used a water suction vaccuum to get dry out the tank. Also they had to unscrew the bolts connecting the tank and the toilet seat. When putting those bolts back they didn't do it right and the leak is where the bolts connecting them. Yet they said they didn't touch it. Wow. We are currently looking at actions (perhaps a small court claim) that we can take against them. Just found I can file a complaint on Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation which is where all the licenses are granted. Perhaps contact City rep too. Im going to wait and see if this gets resolved first.

That was very good, professional, friendly and called to let me know when they will come and arrived on time.

They have been reliable and professional. We would recommend them and will continue to use them.

I have used CroppMetcalfe several times for yearly servicing and minor issues for the last few years. Though the fees for these visits were always high, I felt neutral about the quality of service. My current opinion has drastically declined after unprofessional and unknowledgeable work offered by Crop Metcalf technicians recently. Though I paid for a “comprehensive diagnostic assessment” twice on different visits within weeks and paid for many billed hours of service, the HVAC issue was never diagnosed. I paid for unnecessary parts and was told that they could not fix my eight-year-old HVAC system installed by CroppMetcalfe and told it needed to be replaced for a new unit. I called in a new HVAC company and the problem was identified in one visit with significant savings to me by not following CroppMetcalf’s advice. It was obvious that the technician had insufficient knowledge to deal with the issue. I called CroppMetcalfe management about the service and charges. They stated that it was my responsibility when requesting service to ask for a senior technician in the future, as their team members have different levels of skill as opposed to everyone should be able to handle all problems. They refused to reimburse their billed charges and offered no apology for the charges or inferior service.

Service was good BUT really over charged. I was charged over $600 to replace garbage disposal. It took less than 30 minutes to do the job. I asked for a itemized break down of charges from plumber but was told they could not provide one. I looked up the cost of disposal and found it cost less than $150.00. So than means they charged about $450.00 for labor. I sent a review to CroppMetcalfe but never heard back from them. I just would like to know the break down of the charges.

Called Cropp Metcalfe late on Saturday night to repair a pipe that had burst in my basement ceiling. Was impressed that they had a 24 hour answering service to take my information. Not so impressed when they never bothered to call back.

Quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem within one hour.

Great! Of all of the quotes I received, CroppMetcalfe was the most expensive but offered the best quality products, work, and, most importantly, offered the best solutions to a less than ideal set-up. The utility closet where the handler is located is shared with a large water heater. The configuration made it impossible to access the handler. Other companies suggested cutting panels in walls (which would have required additional drywall/carpentry work) or changing an additional $1k to move the water heater. CropMetcalfe looked at the whole problem and identified that the large water heater was 17 years old and could be replaced with a new lowboy water heater that solved multiple issues with the space. At the end of the day I paid a little more for higher-quality work, new HVAC and water heater - it was completely worth it!!!

We've been very happy with them. It's a fairly big company. We have a service contract with them. Our neighbors feel it's too expensive, we think it's worth it. We think it's well worth it, because it's a service call. I don't think it's outrageous. Other people don't want to pay for a service contract, they just want to call a company to come out and do it. We don't operate like that. We pay the service contract every summer. We pay the whole year ahead of time. It's about $400 a year. We wouldn't be with them if we weren't happy. We've been with them 45 years. What they do when they come is worth $200 a season. For what they do and the time it takes them, I think it's well worth it. Of course everyone wants it for free, but you have to pay people. I think it's very good. They are excellent.

It was fairly easy to communicate with them, and easy to schedule. It was I guess I'm satisfied by the service. I am not blown away by it. It was fine. The mosquito's are bad by us, and its hard to get rid of them all obviously. They could have done more than spraying, but that is all they do is spray. It was fine. They were pretty easy to talk to, but I wished they would have done a little bit more. They were pretty punctual. I didn't have to micromanage them. I would use them again, but my husband might not. I think they just need to do a better job on tailoring the treatment to the landscape. We have a small yard with a lot of bamboo in the back. To get rid of the mosquitoes, they could done the mosquito junk in the gutters, and they don't do that. They do spraying. A neighbor has standing water, and it does no good to get the spraying. I would say better inspection, and planning of treatments.

We have an annual contract with them. We've been with them over 20 or 25 years and they've maintained our air conditioning equipment. They are excellent.

One technician to service the unit and it takes about 30 minutes and they do the work on time.

I'd give them an A overall and all the individual categories. We've used them for multiple years and they do a very good job. Occasionally they have discounts too.

I have a contract with CroppMetcalfe. I've had them for 20 years. I'm not too happy with them right now. They've done other things that worked. So, I guess I would recommend them. They could have fixed it to work. I found somebody else who replaced it. I'm not sure what I want to do about this contract.

The main factor is the price. They're a little on the high side.

Levi arrived and did an excellent, highly professional job. It's an old house with lots of old stuff in it, so sometimes service providers struggle to work on non-Mac Mansion houses, but not Levi. He diagnosed and fixed the problem very quickly and we thought the price was extremely fair for the work done. Levi specifically replaced a shutoff value and did a minor rebuild of the W/C. We were so impressed we bought a plumbing service policy because we will definitely use them again. We really appreciate the good service, rapid dispatch and swift repair.

The plumber arrived on time. He confirmed that the problem could not be fixed by tightening the nut -- the bolt had become loose from the flange or the flange had come loose. He explained the possible implications if access was needed to the plumbing below the toilet. He disconnected the toilet, removed it and determined that the flange was, fortunately, OK. He re-seated the toilet, secured and tested it, and caulked around the edge. He also gave us some useful information on the condition of the toilet valve. His clean-up was immaculate -- the bathroom was cleaner than before the visit. A very professional job.

We have had good service. I had a service package and I don't remember how much I was paying. The guy that came out was very professional, and did the work well. The issue that I had was, he had not been provided with the equipment that he needed. The first guy came out and took measurements. The second guy comes out to do the installation and the first guy either, measured incorrectly or the information had been translated incorrectly, so the part wouldn't fit and had to be rebuilt. It took a few hours for someone to get that part ready and get it out here to the installer. The price was fair. I haven't had any issues since they came out and did it.

I think I found them through Angie's List. I really did not like them too much. The original guy that came, it seemed like nothing was done. I don't know if he was new or if he was a rookie. They told me to give it a couple of days, but they were still there. So I called them and told them to send me a veteran -- a specialist -- someone who had been doing it for a long period of time. When they sent me Mr. Eddie, he was very good. Actually he was the only one out of CroppMetcalfe that I would keep in contact with and do work with. Other than that, everybody else is horrible. My interaction with them was okay. He was the only one that kept me coming. The job was I paid a certain amount and got three jobs. If the same guy had come the three times -- which he had come twice -- and I only had one more service done. It was not good. Mr. Eddie stayed with me until the pest control had left. It was like, he was the man so I would just keep calling him. The work that Mr. Eddie did was wonderful. The work that the other guys did was horrible.

The plumber was soft-spoken and polite. I showed him the bathroom tub and told him that it was running badly. We had tried the usual enzyme treatments for several months and "snaking" it with a short plastic rod that Home Depot sells for the purpose. He ran the water, noted that it was not draining well, and said it would cost $405 to snake it. I was horrified at the cost, told him that was far too much, and that I would not have him do it. At that point, he decided to look up the rate and said, Oh, it was $318, the previous charge was for snaking a kitchen trap. Again I protested that the charge was way too high. He explained all about the CM service program which I don't have (and won't get), then offered me the "discounted" price of $284. Since I was going to have to pay him for his "diagnosis" of the problem (which I could told him) anyway I agreed to that price and he did the work. I really resent the fact that the company would not have told me the rate for snaking a tub anyway (because the plumber has to "diagnose" what any fool can see), and that he didn't even look up the price before telling me the grossly overpriced fee and had to be talked down to something approaching reality twice. I told him that I would certainly not use his company for plumbing again which he seemed to feel was way harsh. I have used them for A/C and heating maintenance, and found them reliable but again not cheap.

It was fine. He had all necessary materials, did the job quickly and well. Additionally they charged less than other service providers had quoted. The only issue was that they dont really give you a precise appointment time, they give you a time range.

They started promptly and on time. The sewer was over 10 feet down so it required them to dig a deep 40 foot trench. The crew was polite, professional and worked really hard. The week they did it was the coldest and snowiest of the year which led to problems later on. Eric was always there when I got home at night to explain what they had done that day and what they would do the next. They appeared to do a good job in all respects and my neighbor, a retired builder, came over and checked it out. He said they were using first rate materials and installation techniques, especially on the water line. Couple of things. I have owned a lot of houses and know a bit about maintenance, etc. Enough to know that it is rare to get a big job done perfectly the first time. Adjustments are common. What matters is that the contractor admits and identifies the problem, stands by their work, and addresses the issue till it is fixed. C-M did this. We definitely got our moneys worth. Couple of issues: 1. I wish they had put down a canvas or tarp to pile the dirt on. The grass came back okay but it took a lot of work. The tarp may have spared me some time scraping the mud off. Honestly if you have to dig up your front yard to do this, just plan on a mess and a lot of work to get it back to normal. 2. The extreme cold impacted several aspects. I wish it had been warmer. The frozen dirt made it difficult to fill in the ditch. This resulted in some strange dirt settling that required the crew to come back and redo the water line. It did not break the line but probably would have if they had not come back. They were very responsive. When I called them about the odd settling and the strain it appeared to be putting on water line joints they immediately came out. They identified the problem immediately and quickly had a crew out to fix it. This required a lot of digging and they redid about five feet of the water line. No half-measures. they fixed it. 3. The cold weather impacted the way the fill dirt settled and the crews ability to get all the dirt back in the ditch. It was a mess. My son and I did a lot of digging and scraping to get the underlying level of grass exposed once everything thawed. That helped a lot. C-M came back out and did a lot of remedial work as well, without my asking. They spread several yards of top soil and reseeded the front. the dry july and augustkilled a lot of it, but anticipate a successful fall grass growing season. Overall we were pleased and would recommend C-M for big jobs like this.

The plumbing part was excellent. The workers were excellent too. They raised the price over what was estimated. It might not have been my fault because I had them install three Van Gaal paintings. The availability was an issue. They passed me around like a hot potato. One guy came to do the estimating and I thought he was going to be the head of the parade but he basically passed me on to another division and so forth. There was miscommunication. I called up and left a message months ago but they didn’t respond. Maybe they figured the job was done. This was my first construction project with them. I’m a democrat and most of them were republican so I was very upset with them. I wouldn’t tell a friend about them.

They've always been good. I've been with them for a number of years because they're good. My parent's living oversees and I have tenants in the house, I maintain it with them. They switch roles to contacting somebody differently. Dealing with me by email telling me this needs to happen. Pricing is okay. I haven't recently figured to find out what the different costs of lots of other companies are. I prefer to stick with company. If the company's loyal to me then I will be loyal to them. If they're not picking the price of the service every year. I haven't had a problem with any of the quality. They responded to emails and phone calls. They're always on time and never been late once. I have no problems with them.

I called at 7 am for emergency service to fix the same problem not fixed on the previous call. They gave me a 5 hour window, 12-5pm. Told me at 4 pm that I was next. It is now 8 pm and still nobody has arrived or called to say they were on their way. I realize they may be busy, but if they were too busy they could have told me this at the beginning of the day instead of stringing me along for now and counting 13 hours. I would have had a chance to contact a different provider. Now it is too late and I am still without heat and it is 15 degrees outside. I will be getting my furnace replaced, but will not do it with this company, They have totally lost my trust.
