The pre-meeting went very well. The president of the company came out and helped us select exact blinds that fit our needs. It took about 4 weeks for the order to be processed and the blinds to be installed. They look great. We chose Beltway Blinds after speaking to them at a weekend Home and Garden show. They are a small locally owned firm. I just did not want to deal with the big chains. I felt we got much better service and attention by going with Beltway Blinds. I think their prices are very competitive, if not better than the big chains. I urge you to give them an opportunity to show what they can do for you. I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

I wanted to change the blind in the living room so I bought the coupon. Beltway Blinds came by and the sales man was very nice and amenable. I picked out something I Liked and he left. When my landlord came by later, I told him what had transpired and he said he did not want me to change the existing blind as it had been expensive and the window is an odd shape. I called Beltway soon after and they said no problem at all...apparently this is not unusual. I have never been a renter so I did not know. They were very nice and I have agreed to use them as soon as we buy again.

Awesome transaction from start to finish! We purchased an Angie's List deal and received a phone call to set up an appointment that very same day. Maureen came to the house and was awesome about going over what we were looking for- we even purchased more than we originally planned because we were so impressed with the options. When it came time for the install we were pleasantly surprised to be able to get them in sooner than expected due to a cancellation. The gentlemen that installed the window treatments were quick, efficient and professional (they didn't even seem to mind my kiddos running around which is a major plus!). We are looking forward to working with Beltway Blinds again in the near future to finish outfitting the rest of our house.

The salesman man was friendly, professional and thorough. I would have liked more design advice with the consultation, since these blinds are so much more expensive than what you can get off the shelf in a store. Unfortunately, one of the big selling points was the cordless blinds--for which we paid quite a bit extra on one set--but that set arrived with cords. The problem was fixed quickly with no extra cost.

They were very nice, but I ended up not using the coupon because the work was going to be too expensive. It’s not that they are charging anything unreasonable; it’s just that I have a limited budget.

They were very nice, efficient, and prompt, but I didn't think the price was all that low.

It went fine with one small glitch. The kitchen blind arrived without the decorative tapes. Beltway Blinds reordered the replacement and installed it about 3 weeks later.

The company called back right away and set up a meeting quickly. The rep or owner came to my house with an assistant and measured my windows and showed me samples. They were very pleasant and professional. However, the total price for what I was interested in was higher than what I was expecting, even with the deal. I have decided to go with curtains, so I did not do any comparison shopping on price. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt on price.

I contacted Beltway Blinds regarding a small project in my kitchen. They responded to my inquiry right away, and we set up an appointment at a mutually convenient time. Their sales rep arrived on time and had all of the information from my initial call, so there was no need for me to review our project goals. Their selection was good, considering that we had purchased a Big Deal. We discussed perhaps adding another room to our project, but we ultimately decided against it, and the sales rep did not pressure us. The installers arrived withing fifteen minutes of the scheduled appointment time. They were polite and professional, and completed the job quickly. They cleaned up after themselves and left the room as they found it. I was very pleased with both the end product and the customer service from Beltway Blinds. I will definitely use them again and would enthusiastically recommend them to my friends.

Great service from Beltway Blinds. They have lots of choices, take time to show them to you, and do a perfect job measuring the windows for the blinds or shades, The installers are very quick and did an excellent job. I would recommend this company to anyone - especially since also guarantee their product forever.

Installers had to return to adjust installation of blinds. They were dragging on floor. Blinds are excellent quality and well made, and installation was eventually okay, but the price cited was deceptive since there were no blinds available at the price cited. It would have been more accurate to say the deal was $200 off rather than $400 blinds for $200. There was no way to find out sample prices online for the designer blinds. Otherwise the service was prompt and the blinds are fine.

After Beltway Blinds came and measured the windows, they stated that it would be 4 - 6 weeks before the blinds were ready. After about 6 weeks, they called and we set up and appointment for the installation. They arrived as scheduled and took about an hour to install the two blinds. The team of two were subcontracted (not employed directly by Beltway Blinds), but were courteous. The only issue I had was that the advertisement in Angies List was a come-on offering a $200 discount on $400 worth of work requiring a $200 deposit. As I found out, the $400 would barely over the cost of one blind. Overall, I am pleased with the blinds, but not with the way the firm advertised the deal.

Everything was ok. The shades look nice, and they were properly installed.

I purchased the Big deal for $199 worth $400 of Kathy Ireland blinds. Negative- I felt like the salesman wasn't clear in describing how the deal worked and ultimately I think I paid too much for one window. I did ask them for help installing new batteries in my motorized blinds and they did that for me as well. My approximate cost includes that additional fee. Scheduling was a pain. They didn't show up during the scheduled time frame during my initial measuring and I had to call to find out what happen. If he was behind he should have called to let me know he would be late. I waited around all Saturday morning and after that the scheduling just went back and forth for a while. When the gentleman came to measure he didn't have a ladder and needed to use mine. I still had scheduling issues once the blinds came in. I called to schedule and a gentleman told me he would return my call and never did. I eventually spoke with Stephanie again and she scheduled it for me. I had to change my original rating of C to an F. I was overbilled after the install and was told the salesman made a calculation mistake and my balance due was higher. Stephanie didn't seem to understand how that could be suspicious after the fact and claimed there was nothing that she could do. Although my contract has a specific number. A good company would honor the amount on the contract. You would think with a six week gap between when I made my order and installation someone at beltway blinds would have caught that error and informed me prior to the install. Update 9/3/13- Owner called to apologize and offered to refund the overpayment. I accepted this apology and appreciate his following up to correct the situation. Positive- The install was on time and done well. I'm satisfied with that. Owner apologetic and discrepancy resolved.

The service was great. As soon as I bought the voucher from Angie's List Beltway Blinds called me and we schedule a date and time. The Rep was on time, very nice and professional. He took the measurements and we placed our order for Plantation Shutters. A few days later they came back to take the final measurements which they made special arrangements for due to our busy work schedule in order to not hold up the order. It was a great service we never had any problems and they are very responsive. I would highly recommend Beltway Blinds.

The initial home visit and measuring of windows was thorough on its' face, with the representative measuring each window and going through all our color and style options. The sales representative indicated that Beltway Blinds was a local owned small business that prided itself on thorough craftsmanship, professional cleaning of windows and cleaning up of work areas pre and post installation, and low prices because they were able to work directly with the manufacturer. The representative offered a reduction in cost during the initial visit if we were to place a Beltway Blinds advertising sign in our yard and provide three contacts for "word of mouth" advertising as well as pay half of the bill upfront. We regret agreeing to this discount because the service went down hill following the initial sale. When we were contacted for installation we found out that the initial measurements of our windows was done wrong. This resulted in some of the blinds not fitting correctly (protruding from the window) and the decorative crowns not fitting. The installers also drilled unneeded holds into our window molding. They did not point this out to us and we discovered it after the fact, leaving it to us to repair. We contacted the Beltway Blinds office to rectify the issues we discovered. The representative apologized for the inconvenience and said that she would have management, one of the company owners, contact us later that day. We did not receive a call back and subsequently had to contact the office multiple times to get in touch with management. When we finally got a hold of management they said they would fix the incorrect installation and crowns, but new parts would need to be ordered that would be in, in approximately two weeks. Four weeks later, after not hearing from the company, we contacted the office to see where our re-installation was. The representative again said that she would have management contact us, and again we did not hear from them. A week later, we finally got a hold of management and they setup a reinstallation date. The installers came and the parts they installed were the wrong color. We began the process with the company again to fix this issues. The part owner of the company, believe his name was Charlie, argued with us over the phone saying that they ordered the right colors and wanted us to provide a picture of what was installed. Upon closer inspection of the parts installed it looked like the company either installed another order or used left over parts from another job. FInally, two months after the initial installation, the right parts were installed. Overall, our experience with Beltway Blinds was negative. The company is pleasant on its face but completely unorganized, and focused on sales vice ensuring they are getting the job done right. Management is hard to get a hold of and the company as a whole does not return customer calls or care about customer satisfaction.

I contacted the company on 6/25/13 to schedule an appointment for measuring and was given 6/26/13 @ 2:00 pm. I was told I would get an email later that day to confirm the appointment. I did not get an email but rather a gentleman called and inquired if it was a rental property to which I responded no, it's a beach home. He said they customarily check ownership records and the name of the owner was other than mine. I explained the person he quoted was the co-owner and we're actually renovating the home and wanted window treatments. He seemed fine with the explanation. I just happened to call on 6/26/13 before heading to the home (the home is in Annapolis and I live and work in DC) to confirm my appointment. The person (the same lady I spoke with the first day) asked if both me and Michele were going to be there or was there another time that we both could be there. I told her that someone called me the day before and I explained that I would be the only one there and he seemed okay with it. She said she wasn't aware that anyone had called and would go ahead and confirm the appointment. About 10 minutes later she called to inform me that she could not authorize confirmation of the appointment. If their policy is to have ALL owners present during a consultation then that's fine but what irritates me the most is if I had not called then I would have made the trip to Annapolis for no reason in near 90 degree weather. I own a property management firm and I'm sure they have a valid reason for making sure they are dealing with the owner but I suppose our society has come to the point where everyone is so afraid of being sued that they make doing business inconvenient for the customer. Go figure.

I decided to use the company based on Angies List and research. The colors were perfect. They matched the samples perfectly. They were installed perfectly and fit perfectly. There were 2 minor issues. One, I have asked for a sample of the color 2 times and I have been told it will be on its way and I still have not received it. Two, there was an issue/misunderstanding about what we were getting. They would have switched it for what I thought we ordered but we would have had to pay for the new blinds in full with no credit for the existing blinds. We decided to keep the existing ones. I think their blinds are wonderful and I would use them again but I think that they are very expensive.

As it turns out, we placed an order for six blinds and unfortunately ended up cancelling the order the next day. After taking a closer look at our finances and other priorities, we decided to postpone our blinds purchase. Oliver kindly mailed me my voided check and he even included a thank you note for allowing him to come out to give us an estimate. He gave us a discount on the blinds (including an Angie's List discount), but the timing just wasn't right. I highly recommend Beltway Blinds and wouldn't hesitate to use them when we are ready to purchase. A+ experience.

Great experience! The home consultation took about an hour for measurements and going over style and color choices. We appreciated that their last appointment time was 7pm, which was convenient w/ our work schedules. The price seemed reasonable. The blinds were ready about 2 weeks after they were ordered, but our house was still undergoing a renovation project and we were not ready for installation. Beltway Blinds held them until we were ready to schedule installation, about 2 weeks later, and installation was quick and easy. The installer explained features about the blinds, how they worked, and agreed to my request to install the child safety pieces for the cords. The whole thing took less than an hour.

We hired Beltway Blinds for our office blinds. They did a great job. They called to confirm appointment ahead of time. We highly recommend them.
