Beltway Blinds

They were friendly, punctual, and professional. I think the blinds look great and were priced competitively. I am very happy with them and would use Beltway Blinds again.

They provided samples and helped choose the best product for us (didn't try to over sell the most expensive products). They we professional and non pushy. When the installers came, they were punctual and professional. The one thing that went wrong was that the order had a different color blind for one of the rooms. We informed the installers and they were flexible and apologetic. The company reordered the correct blinds and installed the first set so that we had something up until the right blinds came. Overall great experience and we would recommend.

I am very happy with my experience with Beltway Blinds. We had two other companies give us estimates. One wanted to talk more about his company, the products they offer, and the best product I should buy from him (plantation shutters). The other one never got back with an estimate. But Maureen Maffey walked into our living room and knew immediately what our windows needed - not plantation shutters because, although they are a fine product, they would obstruct too much of the beautiful view we have from our windows. Because of Maureen's perceptive intuition, rather than any slick salesmanship, we are extremely happy with our wood blinds. We are able to adjust them to allow any amount of light and scenery we want at any time. We also got Alta hilight shades for our master bedroom and they are perfect, as well - room darkening for sleep, and adjustable two ways for daytime light. A word about the installers - very competent, polite, respectful, efficient, and they made a point to remind me of the Beltway Blinds guarantee. And a word about the office staff - we had removed the old curtains from our windows, and needed some kind of temporary covering. I called the office and by the next day we had temporary blinds that worked fine to get us through the in-between period. We have called Maureen again - now we want to do our bathrooms!

My wife and I were really impressed with Beltway when the came out. They certainly know their business. They are more expensive but we chose them based on what we thought was going to be great customer service. However, after we paid them in full and there is one small issue with one window it's like pulling teeth to get anything done. Once they have been paid in full you are no longer a customer. Don't expect them to get in a hurry to help. We have been trying to get something fixed for close to 3 months. They are not responsive. And when they do respond they never follow through with their commitment. It's a constant follow up for the "customer" And we did a big job. North of $15,000. Just pray you don't have any issues small or big after you pay.

The sales person was nice. Worked with us to get cost down. The installer was professional and quick. The installer was on time, put covers over his shoes, and installed very quickly. I was impressed.

this company was recommend to me by two separate co workers i gave them a call they gave me a hassle free price which was more then fair my blinds were installed a couple weeks later and i could not be more happy i highly recommend Beltway Blinds Oliver was fantastic to deal with.

Perfect experience from beginning to end.

Salesman came out and we decided to go with the blinds though somewhat expensive. Scheduled to come out to measure and had to reschedule due to the fact they did not bring a ladder. After taking off of work again, windows were measured. It then took 2 months to get them made. When they cam out to install, they did not have the right cord length. They said they would be out the next week with the cord. After two weeks we tried to call but kept getting the runaround. After over a month, someone finally came out but had the wrong size cord. We have been trying for over a month to contact them and get the right cord. We finally put an issue in with the credit card company. The issue is still not resolved.

The provider scheduled someone to come out to our home for a 60 to 90 min estimate that began at 7 pm. Unfortunately, that's where my satisfaction with the provider ended. The salesperson was in our home for over 2 hours. Although we have 27 windows to measure, another provider came out and accomplished the same thing in 45 minutes. The sales person went into a long presentation on her iPad, which we didn't need, before she even began measuring. We told her we just wanted to get to the bottom line, the cost, because we already knew what we wanted. After she measured all of the windows she provided us with an estimate. I pointed out that the Angies List special allowed us to get every 4th blind free. She didn't like that offer and stated she gave us 25% percent off so we could get a discount on everything. I was pretty sure the Angie's List provided a free blind and labor (it does) but by that time I just wanted her out of my house. My husband told her we would discuss the estimate and let her know in 1 to 2 days. Instead of collecting her things and leaving, she said she would wait in her car and talk to her manager to see what he could do something about the price until we flicked our lights. By that time it was after 9 pm and I was really upset with her because I felt like I was at a car dealership. I went out to the car and told her like we said earlier, we would be in touch. She came back in to get her stuff and marked the price down an additional 10%. I stood up to indicate the meeting was over and she just sat there and drank her water. I told her we were tired and she finally got the hint. As I escorted her out and assisted with her samples so she would not have a reason to come back inside, she asked me would my husband really call, wasn't our privacy a priority, etc? We never heard back from her and we're glad. The whole sales pitch went way overboard and we purchased our blinds from another provider.

This was not a very good value. The deal covered barely 1/3 of the window treatments in one room. The pricing on everything was much higher than anticipated.

I bought 3 sets of blinds from Beltway Blinds. The representative was very helpful, and provided suggestions for blinds that would work well in 2 high moisture areas. Ricky, the installer did a great job installing the blinds, even re-positioning one for an awkwardly placed window space so the blinds would hang better. The blinds fit perfectly and look great.

the schedulers worked with me and my schedule to get a time that would work for me. The installers came at the time I requested and were quick and efficient. When I called back with a concern after the installation, the company was quick to send someone over to check things out. Great service!

The salesperson was very nice and had good ideas and provided several options. The person that came to measure the windows was also very nice. The installers were very efficient and cleaned everything up when they were finished. The windows look great.

Came across Beltway Blinds at the Capital Expo Center during a home improvement fair. We went in search of blinds. So we set up an appointment, which went very well. We made our selection and paid half the cost up front. We had to reschedule the installation once; good to be busy I guess. The second date went well despite the tech being a bit late. Traffic around here frustrates all plans. Selection shown was accurate to what arrived. The gentleman that installed the blinds was very pleasant and quick while working his tasks. We finished with paying the balance due. No muss no fuss. We've had the blinds a couple of weeks now. Quite happy with them. Definitely recommend. :)

My initial experience with Beltway Blinds was fantastic! After purchasing our home, my fiance and I reached out to Beltway Blinds to schedule a consultation on December 21, 2013. The representative arrived early, and explained all of the products they offered. She was extremely patient during the whole process, which we really appreciated! It took a while for us to decide what color plantation shutters we wanted, and so we asked our consultant's opinion. She was incredibly helpful and we eventually settled on a clean, white shutter. After making our final decision and paying the initial deposit, she informed us that Beltway Blinds would be in touch to measure the windows before the order was placed. One of the guys from Beltway Blinds came to our house on December 27, 2013 to measure the windows. Once again, he arrived early and was incredibly nice!! We were told that the wood blinds would arrive within 1-2 weeks, but it would take between 6-8 weeks for the plantation shutters to arrive as they were a custom order. We received a call the week of January 5 stating that our wood blinds had arrived and the plantation shutters were on the way. We scheduled installation for January 11. The installers arrived early, and quickly installed the blinds. They were wonderful- very polite and professional, and once they were done you could not even tell they were there! I paid for the wood blinds, and was told Beltway Blinds would be in touch once my plantation shutters had arrived. Fast forward to mid-February, and I still had not heard a peep from Beltway regarding my plantation shutters. At this point, the 6-8 week window had passed, and I was concerned about the status of my shutters. I decided to email Beltway, but did not receive a response. I also made a couple phone calls, however was told one of two things: first, they were checking with the manufacturer or second, they would call me back. I wait another week or so, and do not receive any calls from Beltway as promised. It was now a couple weeks into March (week 10 or so), and as this time I was getting pretty frustrated that I had received no updates or information regarding the shutters. Once again, I called Beltway Blinds multiple times (at least three or four times a week), only to be told by the receptionist that they would call me back. I never received a call back. I finally got a hold of someone, and the receptionist told me they would call me back shortly. Now, in my mind, shortly is within an hour, if not less. Two hours passed and I still had not heard from Beltway. So, I called them back and was told they are checking with the manufacturer. I eventually received a call back, but was told the shutters were still in process and that it was still within the time frame Beltway initially told me. This conversation occurred 11 weeks after the windows were measured and the order was placed, not 6-8 weeks as I was initially told. After numerous phone calls, I finally received word from Beltway that my shutters were on their way and that they would call me once they had a firm date to schedule my installation. Beltway called me March 20 to schedule the installation, which occurred on March 28. The installers arrived within their scheduled time, and were very polite and professional! They worked quickly but carefully and left my house in better shape than when they arrived. Before leaving, the installers double checked to make sure the shutters were functioning correctly. Very pleased with the installation process! The shutters and blinds are gorgeous, however I am extremely disappointed and frustrated at the lack of communication when it came to the plantation shutters. It took 13 weeks for the shutters to arrive, not 6-8 weeks. I would expect that Beltway Blinds would have called to explain that there is a delay with the shutters and apologize, however they did neither of those. I did not receive updates until I called them multiple times, and even then, it was a battle to get a definitive answer. At the least, I would expect an apology, however the most I have received is "thank you for your patience." As I previously stated, my fiance and I are incredibly happy with the final product; it is simply the experience with Beltway and their lack of communication during the process that put a negative taste in our mouth. My theory is that someone dropped the ball and forgot to place the order for the shutters, but the only information I received was that the order was "in process" and (after several phone calls initiated by me) that there were "manufacturer delays." If Beltway would have called me before the 6-8 week time frame had passed and informed me of delays, I would not be as frustrated. However, they failed to do so and I had to hound them for information. In my mind, that's not something that should happen when you have a customer paying over $4000 for your product. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of the blinds and shutters. They were worth every penny and look as if they were an original part of the house. The price is worth it- you are definitely getting what you pay for! Again, the physical product, initial consultation and installation get an A. My only issue was with the lack of communication when it came to the shutters.

The day before our scheduled appointment, a representative called to confirm and told me that my husband has to be present at the consultation. If my husband had it his way, our windows would be covered with aluminum foil and we'd have a $50,000 TV set! I would not do business with a company that has such an insulting, sexist policy! I am the one that would be paying for the blinds! Next time I will remember to check Angie's List before scheduling a consultation!

They did a wonderful job. I have spent on top of the "Big Deal". They were very expensive. They were punctual and knew what they were doing. I can't complete that because they haven't resolved the problem, the blinds are right next to each other in my little room and its visibly different.

So I had kept the Friday time slot open for them all week only to say they wouldn't come unless both my husband and I were present and they would have to stay for 60 to 90 minutes. When I signed up for the appointment I was not told of this "rule". The woman on phone was very unprofessional. If I had know the "rule" I would not have ever signed up for an appointment since I would not put my husband through that since this was a decision I would be making.

Price was really great for approximately 39 windows. Install staff was nice and very kind to my dog. They did miss installing a few pieces of trim, but we were able to do it ourselves easily. My only complaint is that we had one chord break within the first day of install. I am a bit concerned about quality of the product but crossing my fingers that they hold up well.

When they called me to confirm two days before my appointment, they wanted to reschedule because I told them (again) that my husband wasn't going to be nor did he need to present as the decisions were at my discretion. They continued to push back and insist we both be present and reschedule. They were rude and pushed so hard, I went ahead and canceled the whole consultation, for which they showed no remorse at loss of potential business. I planned three consults that day hoping to pick one, but now it was too late to schedule another (not to mention it was a rare weekday off for me that I planned these appointments). What a waste of my time!! I don't care how they came about this "policy," but how decisions are made within our home are none of a company's business, and as customers we won't be forced into anything so absurd as both be required to be present during a simple consult. The company arranged for a sales person to come to our house right away in a time that was convenient for us. They double-checked measurements and installed beautiful window coverings.

Installed three fabric shades/blinds

We agreed to do up to four windows with real wood blinds at half payment upfront on top of what was already expensed through the Big Deal. They provided me with a time frame of 4-5 weeks to install the blinds, only to arrive after the agreed upon time to install them. There were issues from the start involving the initial installation of the blinds for the first window. Every window had misfitting issues involving the measurements of each set of blinds. They simply would not lay in place, nor fit accordingly to the frame of the window sills that they were ordered for. Afterwards, I was told that it would all be fixed and after several additional weeks, I finally received a call informing that an installer was coming out to correct all the issues. When the installer arrived, he assessed the situation again, only to agree with me that the measurements were completely wrong and would require an entire reorder, and then confirmed he would return in an additional week with the correct blinds for installation. After that, I never head from them again, and they never requested the rest of the payment for the quote. I also felt uncomfortable with the additional costs attached to the deal that nearly went over my budget had it not been for the Big Deal which seemed to provide a false sense of reasonable pricing, leading one to belief that they would actually be saving money as opposed to overspending. Needless to say, I am more than dissatisfied with their lack of professionalism and satisfaction guarantee. UPDATE: Althrough my four blinds were finally installed correctly and the new installers was very professional just because of the lenght of time, missed and cancel appointment and no compensation offered, I will continue to give an "D" rating.

Where do I start? I have a large front window, larger than the average bay window and I was tried of living in a fishbowl. I had received an estimate from another company but the sales person seemed on automatic pilot. I checked out Angie's list and called Beltway Blinds. For the estimate, the technician was right on time. He provided plenty of samples to choose from. He understood exactly what I wanted and made a number of suggestions (some less costly options) so that I got exactly what I needed at a great price. Shortly after that, two more technicians came to my house to take the exact measurements. Both men were courteous, professional and knew what they doing. My shutters were special order and the guys promised that they would be ready to install in just over a month. Actually, the job was completed sooner. The install was fast and professional and they spent more than a few minutes talking to me about how to best care for my new shutters. What I really like was that they were meticulous about leaving the area spotless. I would recommend these guys (Beltway Blinds) to anyone looking for quality and service at a great price. Moving on to decorate another room and planning to call them back soon to take on the challenge of the windows in my office.
