The contractor conducted a detailed interview to ensure that both parties were in agreement as to the scope of the work and the expectations of the homeowner. He was very clear in describing the environmental issues to be considered. Shortly after accepting his proposal, he secured the Montgomery County permit to perform the work, scheduled two subcontractors to (1) pump the remaining home heating oil from the tank and (2) fill the tank with sand grout. The contractor oversaw all aspects of the on-site work. Upon completion of the work, the contractor provided closure documentation that included the permit, site photos and liquid disposal manifest. All work was performed in one day and the work site was restored to its original appearance and all debris was removed. I was extremely pleased with the entire transaction. The owner of Atlantic Environmental Services, Stephen Burns, was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. He provided excellent advice and was very price-competitive.
