Adirondack did a great job. Their quote was half of a competitor's bid. They arrived on time and within 2.5 hours they were finished, including stump grinding and clean up. This tree had a seven-foot circumference and was taller than our three-story house. It required a bucket truck whose arm at times had to pass between power lines. They did an expert job and I would definitely hire them again.

It went great! A rep. came out and gave me an estimate, and some suggestions for the future. The estimate was free. I gave him a 10% deposit on the job. He explained the total price of the job, and told me someone would call to schedule it. They called the same day. They gave me a reminder call the day before and they came out as scheduled (actually early) and did the work. They did an excellent job. They cleaned up afterwards. I gave them a check. No problems.I shoild mention that I have used this company before to remove a tree a couple of years ago. I found them on Angies List.

I was honestly pleased with this company all around! The salesman was very professional and more knowledgeable than most of the other companies we had out for estimates. He took a lot of time to discuss our options and talk about the health of the tree we were debating about having removed. He helped come up with a plan for bringing the lumber out of our property without damaging our garden and they were very cautious about protecting the plants I particularly cared about. Coordination and communication with the office was excellent as well! We received 4 quotes for the job and this was the second most affordable company, however, the cheapest quote we received was offered by someone who knew very little about trees and was extraordinarily unprofessional in my interaction with him. This choice was very obvious! The crew arrived on time, worked hard in the heat, and took care to put things back as they were. My one and only complaint is that the lawn was left with huge dents from the trunk and limbs being dropped. It looked like dinosaurs had been running around the lawn. I'll be filling the holes with dirt and reseeding the grass to correct the problem, but do wish it had maybe been addressed. Besides that the job went very smoothly and we're very happy with this company! I have a couple dying black locusts that will need to come out at some point so I'll definitely be hiring them again.

Very well. They weren't the lowest bid, but worth the bit more for the service, job well done, and even clean up of my yard and that of my neighbors. Definitely recommended.

Adirondack was very responsive on scheduling the estimate and within two weeks we had them out to do the work. They were on time and did a fantastic job. They even picked up some of the branches that were on the ground around the tree (the tree was dead and had begun dropping branches). I have used them in the past and will continue to use them as they do a great job for a great price!

They are quite busy, but that is understandable - their estimate was 10 - 20% lower than other estimates, and they had an AngiesList 10% off coupon on the top of that. I had to wait for a week to get an estimate, and another week to have my trees removed. I called their office a few times - the lady on the phone was very helpful and knew all details related to my request. The crew came on time. Everyone was very friendly. They did a great job. Cleaned up the site. Highly recommend.

I really appreciated the thoughtful consideration Vince (Vinny) gave to my trees. He is Adirondack's VP of sales, but true to his arborist training, he recommended a "wait-and-see" approach to the big old sweet gum tree in the backyard. It looked pretty bad with its leaves all fallen in January and some scary looking work that had been done to try to save the tree from English Ivy invasion. Vince's approach was unique. I got four other appraisals and almost to a person the sales force recommended removing the tree stating it was clearly dead. Removal would have been very expensive given the difficulty of getting equipment close. It turned out that the conservative approach was the correct one. The tree (see picture) is leafing out all over this spring! I trimmed away the new growth of English Ivy and will ask Adirondack to see what they can do to remove the dead wood that IS in the tree. I can't be more pleased!

Coldest, windiest day in winter of 2016-2017. Many businesses might have postponed. Three-man crew arrived on time, worked adroitly, added value to services contracted and cleaned-up better than anticipated. Written estimate performed prior to service. Service delivered as estimated. Excellent work, excellent results, excellent firm. Very satisfied. Recommended to my church, that also selected Adirondack. Best value estimate of three submitted. Again, customer very satisfied.

I called Adirondack on Monday and they came out on Tuesday to provide an estimate. Most of a tree had come down on the line connecting my house to the street power lines. I okayed the estimate and they pulled a crew somewhere else and brought them to my house to cut up the tree and perform the cleanup. They were very professional and did a very clean job. I've used them twice before and been pleased by the quality of the work. The owner also offered his cell number to me to call if I had problems with Pepco; I didn't avail myself of his offer, but it was very nice to get.

A friend had previously hired and recommended Adirondack which got very positive reviews on Angie's List. This was the first time I've hired a tree service, so I didn't know what to expect. It did take three weeks to schedule the estimate, but seeing how I had been putting this off for well over a year (or two), a couple more weeks really didn't matter to me, but you should be prepared for that. The crew showed up on time, was friendly and worked for 5 hours straight. The main reason I kept putting this off is because I know tree removal can be costly. But seeing the number of trucks (including a crane), crew and quality of work, I feel the price was very fair. I'm happy with the results and will recommend Adirondack to friends.

The Adirondack Tree crew did a fantastic job this morning. They showed up on time with 2 trucks, got to work right away and had the tree down and the area completely cleaned up in just 2 hours. The area around the wide, low stump barely shows signs that anyone was there except for a few divots in the grass. I was truly impressed and will recommend them to my neighbors (many of who stopped by to watch).

Adirondack was excellent in all regards. Dan Miller, who came out to do the estimate, was very informative about the whole process, including the permitting process in DC, which can (and did) take a long time. The formal proposal/contract was drawn up on the spot, and was considerably less than two competing proposals. The contract itself contained a lot of useful information. Every time I called to get additional information or ask about scheduling as we waited for the permit approval, Dan returned my calls the same day. We were working against a tight schedule to begin redoing the landscaping in the back yard and, once we had the permit, Adirondack worked with us to get the tree removed quickly to meet that schedule, moving the job up a couple of days to do so. The crew who did the removal were highly efficient; I couldn't believe they got such a large tree out so quickly from a yard with such narrow access. They were very careful about our vegetable garden as well which was directly underneath some of the limbs. They left the yard so clean you wouldn't even know they had been there except that the tree was gone. These guys are great and, based on the competing bids, an excellent value. I would hire them again in a second without even bothering to get other bids.

These guys are great. I've used them several times before. I wanted the cherry pruned (branches were touching my house) and my neighbor wanted an oak branch hanging over her property cut back to minimize the number of leaves and acorns that fell. The total cost was $350, the minimum charge by the vendor. I paid $275 and she paid $75. The vendor arrived on time, performed the job quickly (without damaging any surrounding plants or shrubbery) and cleaned up after themselves. The work is high quality and I would recommend them to anyone.

It went very well. They showed up on time. Got most of the dead wood out of my very tall trees. Did a decent job of cleaning up and even did a few extras for me.

I was very pleased with the professionalism all of the crew and the speed with which the job was conducted. I could hardly believe the tree was down and all cleanup accomplished within a half hour. I plan to have them back within a few weeks to remove another such tree.
