Window World - Harford

Terrible, office staff was nice and the consult. But, owners are terrible not good about responsibility and customer care. They have the cash, then not a word. Took a 6 MONTH process,( should have been 6-8 weeks) The initial installers cracked frame, forgot caulk, many windows did not lock properly, scratched front door and walls, tried to leave without taking any responsibility. Finally got that call back from owner after several times waiting. Heard from him after I sent a timeline letter with all the issues and attempts to contact him or hear back from him. Left Email with wife (who does scheduling), she has yet to respond to my asking for some type of reimbursement for my time off, my inconvenience, my needing to repaint my hall way and front door. very very poor customer care by owner

I had eleven double hung windows and a four panel bow window replaced by Window World of Harford which is located in Bel Air, Maryland. They did an outstanding job. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, courteous and highly professional. I totally recommend these people. My windows were measured and the replacements were ordered. On arrival one of the double hung windows was found to have been not so lovingly kissed by a fork lift. A replacement was ordered and the other ten and the bow were installed. A few weeks later the last window was installed. The installers were great. They not only did a good job, they were also friendly and fun to be around. The installer noticed that one of the latches for tilting that last window had a weak spring. A replacement latch was brought at our earliest convenience. These double pane windows have Low-E glass, argon gas and full screens. I will never again have to get on a ladder to paint or wash the outside of our windows. I almost did not go with Window World because of some terrible on-line reviews. However, I found out that W,W, is a franchise organization and I noticed that the bad reviews were about specific offices. I could not be happier about my choice of Window World of Harford. These people have been great!

The screens have gaps where bugs could crawl in. We were told we need to expect this because they are vinyl screens. This was not presented during the original sales presentation. The front left window fell out as we were trying to open it and slide it back to see how it worked. We ran out of the house to grab the installers before they pulled out of the driveway. They came back in and said it was because it wasn't tightened properly and so they tightened some screws. Two days later the same window had the same problem. I called the company several times and no one answered, no answering machine....nothing. Finally the next day I spoke with Kathy to see when they were going to come back and look at this window. They came several days later and the installer (Craig) said it was actually missing a part. A part he didn't carry in his truck and this would have to be reported to the office manager (John) to come look at. I called and they said the office Manager was on vacation until Friday. That was two weeks ago and we haven't heard from the company since! I'm totally disgusted. I called Visa Bank of America and asked them to put a retraction on the first installment on the windows until the company responded and fixed our problems. I have yet to hear back from Window World. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Back in 2013, I researched different replacement window designs and quickly learned about the advantages with Window World's 4000 Series Fusion-welded vinyl windows. So my wife and I hit a Home Garden Show, checked out 4 of the top local replacement window companies. Seeing is believing and we were impressed with Window World. We scheduled our appointment for a free estimate We met with a very down to Earth representative from WIndow World - Harford County named Louis. No pressure, just great information and a really good price. The installation was surprisingly fast. We had 19 large, double sash windows fully installed about half a day. I was worried about the inside trim around the windows. but their retrofit installation allowed the windows to make a custom fit without disturbing the inside trim or outside siding trim. The installers actually added exterior white aluminum sill plates to each window. So these new Window World windows are truly 100% maintenance free. We've had these windows for almost 2 years. WE LOVE THESE WINDOWS! Every time we open, close or look out these Window World windows, we wonder why we didn't install them years before. So many advantages. We noticed a nice drop in our energy bills. They're Energy Star windows. The outside traffic noise was greatly reduced and they look great. Our original windows were so hard to open and close. The Window World windows slide up and with a finger and they both swing in for easy cleaning of the exterior glass. With their lifetime warranty, we have never have to worry about any issues or broken glass. Plus the fact that the warranty is transferable, we greatly increased the selling value of our home. So if you're reading this review because you're wondering which replacement window to go with, remember that WINDOW WORLD received The Good Houskeeping Seal, they're America's largest home improvement company and locally owned and operated. You too will love your new Window World windows and you will most likely be so satisfied that you will also write a review about how happy you are!

Window World of Harford personally visited our home to make accurate measurements of windows and door to be replaced. The installers arrived promptly the day of installation. They were neat, pleasant and professional and took particular care to protect the floors and furnishings during the installation. We noticed immediately that the windows were more air-tight and provided better sound insulation than the original windows. John and Jeanie were knowledgable and able to recommend the best product to fit our needs. They were wonderful to deal with. We have been extremely pleased and are planning to use Window World of Harford again to replace a sliding door. Highly recommend!

Window World installed 3 replacement windows in this old home I bought. They look to be high quality and the installation seems to have been done very well. Plus their price was at least $100 per window lower than other estimates. The only issue was that I was told twice that they would be here at 7:30 am, which to me was fantastic because I wanted some other contractors to come in at 9:30. They arrived at 8:30 am and had a start time of 8:30 written on their sheet. This caused me some inconvenience because my other contractors showed at 9:30 as expected and the window installers truck and trim cutting table was in our way for a while

The work performed was EXCELLENT!!!! Everything from the beginning to the end went off without a hitch. John came right out and gave me my quote and it was a very good price compared to the others I received. He was very pleasant. He gave me the date of delivery which was exact, my install date and time which was exact. The office staff called and confirmed this. The two men that installed my windows showed up within the time frame I was told and worked from 9:15 to 2:00 p.m. and completed the job and cleaned everything up and they were gone. JOB WELL DONE!!!! The office staff was AWESOME as well! I would recommend WINDOW WORLD to everyone!!! I have never in my life worked in any situation that I did not hit a wall somewhere, however with Window World there was not one problem. What a pleasant change!!

WW was very responsive in following up on this small but important service to replace the door sweep on the front door that they had installed several years ago. This is the epitome of good customer service.

It went extremely well. They came to the house and demonstrated their product. They estimated the cost and approximate date of work. They made suggestions on type of windows. They explained how the work would proceed and what they would do as far as clean up. The windows arrived on time and they called and set up the installation date. The installers arrived on time and proceeded to do the job with great efficiency. It took one and a half days to complete the job. When they finished and left they had completely cleaned up the entire mess. Before they left they went over each window and double checked everything. They made sure we knew how to operate the new windows. Several days later I had a problem with one of the windows and I called them for help. They came the next day and fixed the problem. They have always been very professional any time I have called. I feel completely satisfied with the windows. They operate after two years as they did when they were installed. They are easy to open and close, easy to clean. They look great inside and outside. I feel very comfortable recommending this company.

When the installers came to the house the first time they were on time, very friendly, and professional. I stayed out of their way. But when I came in to just check out the windows I realized the wrong window was ordered. I informed them of this and they had the correct window ordered and installed within three weeks. They didnt hassle me to keep the old window didnt ask questions just did what they had to do. When they came out to install the new one, again, on time, professional, and had the window installed within 1 1/2 hrs. Great prices. Would highly recommend.
