Tar Heel was very professional and responsive from start to finish on our roof replacement. When we contacted them, Brian got right back to us and set up a time for a free inspection. Showed up bright and early on a cold Monday morning and did a thorough inspection, left us samples and brochures to look over and sent a couple of draft contracts with different options same day. After reviewing and signing a contract, he set up a tentative date and when the day arrived the crew showed up promptly at sunrise and worked non-stop until sunset. Very professional, no messing around. Cleaned up the site perfectly and moved stuff back into place. Being a first time roof replacement for me, I had questions and Brian always addressed them quickly. Our roof looks great! I would whole heartedly recommend them for your roofing repair/replacement needs.

I called Tar Heel Construction to set up an appointment to have someone come out to our house to give us an estimate for a roof replacement. The very nice young lady I talked to said someone would contact me to set up a time. About an hour later I received a call from the owner of the company who said he wanted to introduce himself and to set up an appointment time. I told him we were available Thursday all day and part of the day on Friday. He said what about 12 noon on Thursday. I told him that worked and that we would see him then. Well, Thursday came and went and they were a no show. No call, no nothing. Just didn’t bother to show up. I guess they have more work than they can handle.

He agreed to match a lower estimate that I got. It mostly went well, but there was a leak in the fireplace. He came and fixed it right away and was really nice.

Joe came out at my request when I saw Tar Heel has been working in the neighborhood. He was the only person of three contractors that actually got up in the roof to inspect the siding at the place where I thought water was entering during certain storms. It was Joe that noticed there was a need to replace roofing on a small section of the roof. Joe and his partner visited a couple of times and came up with different options for working on part of the house and just doing a whole house exterior replacement of siding, windows, gutters. Both were good options but we chose the smaller project. Joe provided references and offered access to inspect prior projects. His transparency was impressive. His quote included all applicable insurance forms. Warranties were written into the contract. All my questions were answered. The work was completed in one full day. Cleanup was a little informal but completed over the next couple of days. This was no problem. The scheduled day had to be adjusted because of weather. The roof and siding crews were friendly. Joe was on sight in the morning and available by phone throughout the day. He came back in the afternoon to answer questions and inspect the work. I believe the work completed which included wrapping, insulating and proper flashing of the side wall and roof repair will prevent water from entering the house. So far there have been no problems but we have not had a severe storm. Joe, has asked me to call him after storms and let him know everything is good. He wants to ensure the problem is corrected. Overall I would use and recommend Tar Heel.
