Joe, his partner, & team were outstanding. Joe was one of the only contractors to actually go onto my existing (prior) roof to take pictures and measure. I told Joe there were a few reasons I hired them: he (and his partner) had working hands (you could tell they do the work themselves and have experience), he provided insurance and state license without asking, and inspected the existing roof prior before providing a quote to ensure there were no surprises to us. His team did an outstanding job providing a 50 year roof using all GAF certified materials. Several neighbors even stopped by to have him provide an estimate on their homes as well since our job was done so well. After the job was over the entire yard was cleaned up (plants and shrubs were covered prior by Tar Heel), magnets ran across the grass to pickup nails (we have a 18 month old daughter and he took the nails very seriously), and siding was cleaned from any shingles that may have left a mark. Overall I couldn't be more happy with the investment and Tar Heel.

Joe and his team were great replacing my roof. He sat down with me and showed all the materials that he would be using. They worked very hard all day. They cleaned up everything. He really cares about his clients. He told me not to hesitate to call if I had any problems at all. He even gave me a price for another project whenever I need to have it done. Joe underbid all other offers and included the shed. Joe was down to earth, honest. He did not over quote the number of squares. Joe said over and over that my happiness w/ the end product was very important. Despite a few hiccups, Joe and I ironed out our differences during the projects. Tar Heel Construction Group removed old roofing, ordered materials and installed new shingles as requested. Work began on the day expected and cleanup was very thorough. Cost was exactly as quoted; nothing extra tacked on. Very nice people to do business with.

Tar Heels replaced two existing skylights. They did a very nice job. Good communication and beat other contractors pricing. While they were on the roof they offered to repair another issue they saw and also removed an old satellite at no extra cost. Nice guys to work with and would highly recommend.
