Sound Matters

Lucas is a fan of two things cashing the check and himself. The relationship started off with Lucas causing a delay with inspections and closing in the walls because he was on site when the inspector showed up. Was warned ahead of time to get it completed beforehand. Wanted 90% of payment before any of the equipment was installed and when he did finally show up for the equipment install, he stated would take all day and rolled out before I returned to let me know he was leaving. He stated he did things as a courtesy and what he did drained my internet. His answer is that he can come out and trouble shoot for $129/hr. I am a novice with this product and deserved for a $7000 bill to take an hour and run through the system and correct what is draining the internet. Buyer beware.

Lucas was great. I had a roof deck speaker that was showing out. He arrived on time and immediately began troubleshooting and walking me through everything as he was working. He ultimately had to run new audio cable to the speaker, but told me my options and showered me everything that needed to be done. He finished the work quickly and did a great job!

Lucas was very professional and timely with his communication as we set up the initial consultation. He was able to quickly understand our needs and provided a litany of options that we had not considered. His expertise in audio design and home automation was fantastic. He explained, in detail, how best to wire the room. He was knowledgeable with the current technology and had answers to all our questions. We look forward to continuing to work with him as we renovate.

INCREDIBLE!!! Service guys were polite,professional and prompt. You must use this service for any home entertainment installs. They also took to time to clean up after the project including vacuuming drywall mess! They even took the time to sit with me about a potential next project. Sound Matters bid lower than other quotes and included all materials in the quote (some thing at least one other quote didn't do). 1. Their quote was accurate. 2. They kept me informed about what they were doing and gave me options. 3. The work they did looks great. 4. Not only did they not tear up my walls (only two small, easily-patched holes), they cleaned up after themselves. I'll call them again without hesitation if I have more work.

I had a great experience with Sound Matters company. I would recommend them to family and friends. Not only do they do audio/visual installation; they build custom wood furniture. From mantles to tables. The guys were professional and followed through with the time line of the project.

And made sure not only that the job was done correctly but took their time to explain and make sure I understood how to use all the remotes etc. I could not recommend them more highly. Lucas was outstanding and very professional. He listened thoughtfully to my needs and then proceeded to ask thoughtful questions and make helpful suggestions regarding where to place items and how to gain maximum usefulness out of my setup. I've had people do similar projects for me before and Lucas was easily the most skilled and professional I've seen. He also was very patient -- I had to reschedule several times because of various activities at my house, and he never showed anything but courtesy. Lucas is a top notch provider and if you have audio - video work or work with a media / tv setup, I would recommend him without reservations!

Lucas mounted my tv for me and offered a great deal of ideas to hide my equipment and improve the sound. He moved the cable box and dvd player out of sight but I can still use my remote control. He also gave me a Sonos demonstration which I was very impressed with the sound and the ease of use of the system. I bought a Sonos Playbar to go along with my TV. We love it for movies and even better we can play Pandora through it when we are not watching TV.

Lucas started with a small job for us to swivel mount a TV on the basement wall. He did an excellent job including hiding cables and we soon asked him back to optimize the internet in the house. The one router in the basement provided good WI-FI on the first floor however the third floor office experienced low internet speeds. Lucas cabled the office and other rooms in the house directly to the router and installed a second network hub that improved WI-FI speeds throughout. With the positive experience of two jobs that went very well, we asked Lucas to supply and install SONOS for the house so that we could have music on all levels including outside on the patio. He installed a patio speaker, carefully hiding the cables, and ensuring seamless music listening while moving from the inside to the outside of the house. He also connected the SONOS up to our existing music system for use in the lounge room, avoiding the need for additional speakers there. He listened to what we wanted, provided options and made recommendations based on his professional experience. He was punctual, professional, tidy, knowledgeable of the systems that he works with and took time to explain how everything works including post installation support. We are already planning to work with Lucas more in future for sound installation, further cabling and updating the home security system.

Adam did a great job installing. He took extra pains to not make or leave any mess which we appreciated. Also, communication with Lucas was very good: I asked several questions via e-mail and he responded promptly, answering even some questions I didn't think to ask. I highly recommend Sound Matters.

Smooth

We had a TV mounted on the wall and the wires concealed. They also installed a blu ray player in the wall. Our price included the HDMI cables and the mount for the TV. They did a really nice job! It looks very clean without all of the wires hanging down. Going to have them wire the basement next!

Lucas was on time to do several tasks in my home. The TV was mounted perfectly and he was able to 'clean up' some of the loose wires around the TV in the kitchen. When I asked him about a current speaker issue I was having in my main TV room, he noticed the wire had a split and replaced it. I would have bought new speakers and didn't realize the connected wire could have been fixed. I highly recommend Sound Matters for any AV and home theater needs. I will definitely call him for my next project!
