+ -1 moreCan't say enough bad things. They were loud, dirty and ineffective but most importantly a total rip off and scam. They tried to convince us and pressure us into doing $1500 in services when we called them to do a $100 service. We know it's a rip off both because they quickly agreed to only $1000 for all when they were trying to convince us and when we had a licensed professional come after he was able to show us why what they wanted to do was either not necessary or part of a general scam in the duct cleaning business. Do NOT use Sear Duct Cleaning. The price they give you is basically for nothing as the ducts were not cleaned correctly as we saw this when they were redone and will attempt to pressure you into lots of pricey services. They use the Sears brand to build trust but don't trust them.
Description of Work: Used Sears duct cleaning service. They use the Sears brand, I don't know if the address given is reflective of where they come from.

Description of Work: The repairman never showed up. I waited from 8am to 6 pm. No one called me. I called them And I was told he would be here in 15 minutes. He still never showed up. This is why I will not depend on Sears again. Finally the technician called and wanted to know if I still needed service at around 6 pm. I so upset that I told him to forget it. If I did not Call Sears when I did I still would be waiting to hear from them .

+ -1 moreThe four ton Carrier Infinity 17 system was installed on 8/13/12. The installer, a Sears subcontractor, HGH, previewed the installation, and installed the system in less than a work day. The price of around $8K included a five year maintenance contract which when combined with the limited warranty, protects me from any from any flaw or failure. I am very satisfied with the result.
Description of Work: Old central air conditioning system 17 years old and experienced major failures in the last two years. Sears was one of the providers I contacted for an estimate. Because Sears had the best price, among two other qualified contractors, both on Angie's List, I selected them to do the job. My experience with the Sears sales representative was positive and he seemed very knowledgeable. He took measurements, inspected the existing system, to include power requirements, input the data into a computer program and gave me options to help me pick the best system to meet my needs.
