The repair technician was very courteous and clean. We have used him on several occasions before including a Whirlpool Duet Washer circuit board repair that was out of warranty. I would definitely use him again as the need arises.

called this company and asked questions about gas cooktop that was not working correctly. had them come out to assess situation, was told it was probably gas regulator and would have to get part and come back in a few days. scheduling was very easy, repair person was very nice, polite, clean, and efficient. part fixed the problem.

They came out to our home and looked at our dishwasher and they determined we needed a new one. I felt he was very honest because he could have fixed the old one but suggested I purchase a new one.

My recollection was that the serviceman came within 24 hours of our call both times. My wife dealt with the serviceman who was prompt, courteous and efficient. He made the repairs and explained they couldn't guarantee against other problems occurring. My recollection is that both repairs were guaranteed for 90 days. The second call occurred just after the 90 day period but wouldn't have been covered anyway. Because the repairs were done quickly and on short notice and because the serviceman was courteous and honest we would definitely use this company again.

This company was thorough, professional and on-time. They seemed to know the equipment very well.

Jim was outstanding. He was thorough and worked very neatly. I felt very confident that the $175 I paid to get the dryer repaired and cleaned was worth it. Much better than paying less and wondering or paying more just becasue he had a national brand behind him. UPDATE: Had Jim back to fix washer and icemaker in freezer. Was fully expecting an expensive part replacement. Insted, Jim correctly diagnosed problems fixed them with labor only. I would highly recommend Jim to diagnose and repair your appliances, especially if you are not handy and are at the mercy of whomever is going to fix your problem.

Called Jim's office on a Saturday expecting to be told go pound sand until Monday or later. Jim came to my house in 3 hours just like he said on the initial phone call. Jim diagnosed the problem quickly and gave me a price. We proceeded with the repair as Jim had the parts on the truck. Jim made the repair but it didn't fix the problem. Jim just charged me for a service call only since the repair did not fix the problem. Jim explained that what he fixed was the most logical solution, which was what I believed it to be before Jim showed up. He said the next most logical fix was to replace the motor that turns the drum. We discussed the pros and cons of making that repair given the age of the dryer. He said he would call with a price for a motor on Monday and then I could make a decision. I declined to have a motor installed and Jim was perfectly find with the decision. I was very impressed with his honesty and demeanor during the repair. Every repairman should be JIM!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were experiencing the problem with our dishwasher as described above. We also were having issues with our clothes dryer making loud squeaking and scratching noises. I reviewed Angie's List and based upon the reviews called Home Systems Appliance Repair one afternoon. Within a couple of hours of leaving a voice mail message Jim Charles, the owner, returned my call. He was able to schedule an appointment at our earliest convenience -- he was willing to come the next day but that didn't work for us. He arrived on time, was very professional, and exceptionally courteous. Mr. Charles assessed the problem with the dishwasher, indicated that he would need to order the parts necessary to fix it, and we rescheduled his return to fix the machine ON A SATURDAY (at no extra cost). After looking at the clothes dryer, he advised us that it would be most cost effective for us to buy a new one as the repairs necessary for ours would be quite expensive and unwarranted for such a low-end machine. On the Saturday of his return, Mr. Charles called at the very beginning of the two hour window we had arranged for him to come fix the dishwasher to indicate that he was running a little late. Nonetheless, he arrived only a little after the scheduled time. Again, Mr. Charles was very professional and courteous. He replaced the spray arm in about 20 minutes, made sure it was operating properly, and cleaned up the area. He even left a complementary cleansing tablet for the dishwasher! We could not ask for a better repair experience and will definitely call Home Systems Appliance Repair for all our future appliance repair needs.

I appreciate the honesty of the technician telling me that I should consider other options rather than having the refrigerator and dish washer repaired. My refrigerator is 7 years old and was in need of a compressor. I previously had a compressor put in a year and a half ago. I think his advise to consider other options was a good one. On the dishwasher a bearing was needed and the cost would exceed the price of a new one. Again, the dishwasher is 7 years old. Both products are Kenmore Elite and therefore will not be cnsidered for a new purchase.

Jim returned our call promptly and scheduled an appointment for two days later. He arrived as scheduled, determined the problems and was able to repair and replace the damaged dryer parts. He had all the necessary equipment and parts with him to perform the job and was thorough and efficient. We will call him again for future appliance repairs.

Very positive experience. Jim is a great repair technician. He thorughly tested and cleaned my washing machine. Repaired/reattched snaps that were causing water to spill over washer tub.

The guy was on time and professioal ...and most of all was honest. He could have said that the dishwasher needed a pump etc...but identified the real problem which was the drain hose needed adjustment and tht was it

I emailed several providers on Angie's List looking for someone to repair my dishwasher. James called me back the very next day and set up an appointment to come out on Saturday - very convenient for someone who works during the week. The best part was they didn't charge more for the weekend rates! He called before he arrived, and was on time within the window he promised. He did all the work within an hour and within the verbal estimate he gave me. Overall, he did a great job and I will certainly call him again for my appliance repairs in the future.
