I had two problems with my refrigerator/freezer. I had water leaking from a small hole in the plastic tubing going into my freezer to make ice and water leaking from somewhere under my refrigerator/freezer. I called Home Systems Appliance Repair and talked to Jim Charles, the owner, to schedule an appointment to repair it. He said he could be at my house in 45 minutes! And he was. Prior to entering the house he put on shoe covers to protect our floors. He quickly found and fixed problem inside the freezer (plugged defrost drain) and replaced the leaking plastic water tubing with a braided stainless steel piping. When he finished, he cleaned up the area where he worked. And, all this was done in about 30 minutes at a very reasonable price. Plus, he gave me a military discount on the total price. I would recommend Home Systems Appliance Repair to anyone.

Arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem and had the necessary spare part. Took the time to explain what the problem was. Finished the job in about 30 min. He confirmed the problem was fixed. And indeed since the visit the machine has being working great.

The technician defrosted the freezer unit and replaced a defrosting mechanism. The technician was very competent and prompt. The work went well. I would use this company again.

Jim diagnosed the problem efficiently and isolated the problem part. After a frank discussion of the risks involved in the repair, he left to price the part. He phoned within hours with a quote. He had already ordered the part so he could return the next afternoon if desired. He was clear that I was under no obligation. He just wanted to be prepared. I told him I would call when I made a decision and ultimately decided not to repair. Jim was very open and patient throughout the process.

My wife and I were very pleased with the professional and efficient service. The technician was punctual, courteous and immediately resolved both problems regarding our washer and dryer. Would definitely recommend their services to others!

it is very disappointed . they are not specialized in refrigerator repair. they are not authorized on refrigerator repair. they are not able to replace the compressor which they suspected failure I had to call KichenAid for an authorized technician to check it out again. I have to pay the diagnosis fee again. what is the point? i don't understand why Angie's List recommended this company (Home Systems Appliance Repair) for repairing my refrigerator. I would like to get my money back to pay an authorized, qualified refrigerator repair service!!!!!

The service provider was very professional. He arrived on time, in a uniform with everything he needed. He managed the repair quickly and efficiently and fixed the problem. I was very pleased and will use this company again for appliance repair.

The repair went smoothly. The price was reasonable, and the technician was very efficient.

Very pleased. Jim arrived when he said he would, was polite and professional, kept the area clean while he was doing his work, and most importantly got the job done (i.e., fixed my oven). Would definitely call again. In fact, he had recently fixed my boyfriend's dryer, so we've had two very positive interactions with him.

At first it was going smooth until working with another company who sold the parts. The parts were held up for several days for reasons still unknown and Jim had to call several times for updates. We were patient and Jim was forthcoming with the information and kept us in the loop. In the end the issue was fixed in a week.

I scheduled service for a Sunday between 2 and 3. At about 2:30 I received a call saying he'd arrive in about 30 minutes. He did. Once he arrived, I shared the issues I was having with my oven. He took about 15 minutes to check the oven and diagnose the problem. He explained that it needed a part which he had on his truck and would cost me $55 dollars. He installed the part in about 20 minutes, cleaned up after himself and when he left I once again had a working oven! Oh, and he wore booties while inside the house. Great work! I highly recommend!

We would use him again without question. It's great to find such an honest and prompt repair person. He even wore booties in the house so that he wouldn't track anything in.

RESPONSIVENESS: Good at first but when he couldn't resolve problem he failed to respond to my 2nd email asking him to come back out, for the 2nd time as stated in contract, and check and see if drain tubes were frozen. PUNCTUALITY: Satisfactory PROFESSIONALISM: When you can't make a repair and you don't know what the problem is I don't think you should be charged. As stated he came to my home, took a temp reading in the fridge and in the freeze, visually scanned freezer dooe gasket and said everything was OK and he had no idea what problem was, said he didn't encounter this in 27 years experience. Said he would do some research and get back to me, which he did. When he called back he had no solution and 2 possible fixes, one of which he would not do. Neither possible solution was guaranteed to fix my problem and they would cost as much as I paid for the fridge. Needless to say I declined these possible fixes. It was after this took place that I emailed him again and asked him to come back out the 2nd time and check my drain tube. He failed to respond to me and I haven't heard from him again. An interesting sidenote to this experience was that I did some research and contacted another personal friend who also does this type of work and he provided me with a $4 fix with one phone call. I would be happy to discuss my experience with Home Systems Appliance Repair in more detail with anyone.

Mr. Charles is a thorough professional. He came on a Sunday to do the repair, was very prompt and efficient and quickly fixed the problem.

We used them and unfortunately it was a waste of money. He said I may as well get a new one and had to spend a hundred dollars just to be told that. The man was very nice. He was very good.

Great. Great communication with me. I used a copun but I had to order additional part. He was very fair and clear about pricing.

We chose to buy a deal from the company provided through Angie's List, so we were charged $99 for all labor and about 3 hours of work, including an hour for him to get the part. The part cost $120, which I hope was a fair price, but I was pleased with the outcome, anyway. Very professional.

He was very thorough in diagnosing the possible needs of the non-functioning dual fuel range/oven that we have. He took down the model number and all the information I could provide. When he arrived the first time he determined after inspection the part that was needed to fix it. He then ordered it from the manufacturer, and as soon as it came in, he installed it. Very professional and friendly. I highly recommend!
