We broke a glass in to dishwasher and didn't know it until it had run with glass grinding in the bottom. I purchased the appliance repair deal for $99. The provider was easy to schedule, came on time, and made the repair quickly and well. There was a part needed that added a bit to the cost.

David spent >2.5 hrs troubleshooting the machine and narrowed it down to 1 or 2 issues. The next day, James quoted us $605 to replace the Primary Control Board and a sensor but also warned us that the bearings on a machine this old might go bad as well - could be a few months or a few years, it's obviously not possible to predict specific failure times for a single machine! Bearings are apparently not worth replacing (requires stripping down the machine pretty much) so a lot of labor. Both James and David were very professional and responsive. We were impressed with their commitment to prompt service. We were a bit shocked at the quoted repair cost - our estimate is that it was comprised of ~$350 repair labor cost (replacement parts ~$250 retail from Sears / appliance repair parts store) but since we're not appliance repair people, what do we know about how long it takes to do repairs - not much LOL! We had to order a new washing machine....ugh. We would use this company again as we believe we received good service, albeit not what we wanted to hear as far as the machine repair costs go. The alternative is the local LG authorized repair company that has a lot of very poor reviews online and an extended service wait time....so since our machine was no longer covered by the extended warranty we chose not to use them and probably never will.

Perfectly! Provider was prompt, professional, and clear in his communication. He arrived exactly when he said he would (even after our massive snowstorm), came prepared to do the job, and explained everything as he was doing it. He didn't leave a mess (he even wore booties to cover his shoes without my even having to ask!), charged exactly what I expected, and performed the service thoroughly. This was pretty much an ideal home-repair event. No one ever wants to call for a repair, but when you have to, someone who doesn't add to the stress of the problem is just what you need. I wish they could fix everything in my house!

Everything went great. Jim showed up the next morning after I called for an appointment. He called a half hour ahead of time before arriving as promised. Quickly diagnosed the problem and had the part in his truck. He even cleaned the inside of the oven when he was done. It all took less than an hour. Overall great service.

He fixed both my stove and refrigerator in a timely fashion and cleaned up behind himself

It went very well. There was an additional cost. The deal covered the labor but it did not cover the parts that was needed. So they had to order a part and that was the only additional cost. It was between $150 and $200.

They were on-time, quick and very customer service oriented. The serviceman was very nice and courteous. I would use them again in a heart beat.

This is second time we've used Home Systems Appliance Repair, this time for our oven, from which we could smell a faint gas smell when not lit. The technician came on time, diagnosed the issue and the parts he would need to order to make the repair, and returned soon after to make the repair, While working on the stove, he saw that the electrical wires in the back were badly frayed and replaced these at no extra charge. Professional and prompt.

Professional, courteous, honest and on-time. In this day and age of sometimes questionable customer service, it was refreshing to experience. Start to finish was about 100 minutes. Prices were reasonable. Flat $125 service call. Parts and repairs were factored in to the service call. Internet prices for the replaced parts ran around $230. So figure about $140 for 100 minutes of labor. Job was cleanly completed to our satisfaction. We would use HSAR again!

Bitter Sweet! He was punctual and professional, which adds to the quality of Angies List servicemen and women. I called because I needed the ice maker repaired on the front of my refrigerator, and for some unknown reason I had water leaking on the floor that I could not trace from where it came. Unfortunately, the refrigerator began seeping water on the floor again. It may be something with the lever that stops the ice if the bin fills too high, so I will need them to return.

The serviceman was great. Fixed my problem really quickly and stayed longer to help put the dishwasher back in and give me pointers on how to fix some other issues not related to the call. (Where and how to order replacement parts I've been needing) Friendly and prompt.

When the owner of the company called to schedule a time he was very accommodating and worked to fit a time to meet my needs. The technician, David, called well within the set time to let me know that he was on the way and arrived when stated. He spent time checking the unit and connections along with interior air movement and determined the problem was dirty coils (my neglect in not cleaning them for too long a time). He cleaned the coils from the front and back and then took the time to clean under and behind the unit before checking to make sure it was cooling properly. Not only was he very professional in his service, he took the time later that evening to call and check that everything was working to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this repair service and will use it again if needed.

I got this on an Angie's List Deal, for repair to a dishwasher. Mine had started tripping the circuit breaker. I could reset the breaker and it would run for a while but then trip it again. So I went to Angie's List and a deal was offered and I took it up. But the problem was really more costly to fix than a 99 dollar deal could pay for. The service man who came was prompt and very professional. He took the dishwasher apart and diagnosed the problem as a leaky pump and the water was getting into a solenoid and that was tripping the circuit breaker. He put things back together and we verified it was running again and he said it would continue to trip the circuit breaker because the problem was the leaky pump that needed replacing. He quoted me a very reasonable price for a new pump and repair but the dishwasher was probably 30 years or more old so I decided to get a new one. When he left the dishwasher was running but when I tried to use it again it tripped the circuit breaker again. The problem is the deal really wasn't a repair so much as an inspection in my case and I don't know what case it would actually be more than just an inspection and diagnosis. You can't really expect someone to replace a major part for only 99 dollars, they'd be loosing too much money on the deal (figure some of that is going to Angie's List after all). So be careful about buying into these deals when they come up. Yes I would use these folks again. Guy was prompt, professional and honest. But I would not buy a deal if I needed another repair, I would just schedule a service call and be done with it.

Personable and courteous on the phone making the appointment. Arrived within time window (toward the end but still within). Friendly and professional manner. He could neither smell the gas nor find a cause for such a smell, but he offered to return for free and check again if I continued to be concerned. Hard to make a completely accurate judgment since apparently there was nothing to be fixed after all (thus I cannot comment on the quality of repair), but he explained the possible causes of an oven gas leak and why they did not apply to my oven, and he seemed knowledgeable.

.He advised her that it would be more cost effective to get a new machine than to pay for further repairs. He was very up front with her and professional. So that's what she did. He could have fixed it and gotten more money, but he was honest about the prognosis for the machine.

. Successful. Repairman had a spare sensor on truck so repair was completed in one visit. Technician was very knowledgeable of repair and testing of sensor prior to removal and replacement. Arrival time was in promised window. Home systems was able to complete work two days ahead of my selected date.
