I had some issues with the designer at Home Depot. Their sub contractor was very good. The work turned out excellent. They need more comprehensive designers as they missed a lot when they were planning. I did shop for prices and their's was an A.

We had ten Anderson windows installed on the main floor of our 1920s house. Based on the other reviews on Angie's list we decided to try Home Depot. The entire process was very painful, and if we hadn't watched and double checked every detail they would have installed the wrong size windows and replaced vintage styled trim with blocky 1x2 "stops". During the first install attempt, I had to stop the work when I realized the subcontractor was trying to install the wrong size windows. The Home Depot and subcontractors had a cascade of errors ranging from ordering and trying to install the wrong parts, to not being able to match interior trim and paint color. They are probably capable of installing standard windows in simple situations where standard home depot quality trim and 1x2s are appropriate for the house. In a couple cases where the windows are not normally visible we let them replace the trim. The work is such a poor match that we are having it redone with another vendor. They have very poor communication and tracking. They communicate via text message and phone calls and don't seem capable of taking note of the details. Almost every detail gets lost during these communications. When they do have the details correctly written down, they order the wrong parts anyway. On the plus side, the project contact seems to be used to apologizing.

We had bought extra carpet from Home Depot 10 years ago when we had multiple rooms done and our front stairs. At that time they suggested we buy extra carpet to do the stairs later. We bought the extra carpet. Now we asked them to do the stairs with this carpet and they refused. Additionally, we planned to also going to buy $1400 of carpet for our family room. We did not purchase this family room carpet because they would not do our steps. I do have to say when we talked to the store manager, he was very responsive, but did not change the decision. We

It was a good experience. They got him up there and I haven't had any problems. The rain gave easily into the spouts just like they said. I am relieved as no clogs and I don't have to go up and do anything. They pretty much did all the work in one day and I came here from work and rains spouts were up. The product was pretty impressive too. They used heaviest aluminum that you can possible bend.

The door hinges were never properly installed by the contractor of Home Depot and we had problems with it off and on.

The job was purchase and installation of carpet for 2 rooms approx 14 x 13 each. Carpet selection and purchase occured at the Home Depot in Claymont. The initial salesman was pushy and was not a great listener to our concerns. On our next visit, we met with a woman in the department who was much more helpful. Installation was by a Home Depot contracted company. Their van was beat up, which had me curious on the quality I would receive. They did an excellent job installing, and I would use them again. Their company aslo provided a follow up call to confirm our satisfaction.

In the store we had to find the representative, but once we did they were very helpful. The service after the sale was great. They made 2 hour appointment windows and showed up on time and were professional. Installation was the $37 special, so I was a bit concerned. there was no need for concern as it was done professionally and on time. Would do again, but perhaps the shopping experience would be better with the little guy.

I'm not sure this is the best review of HD for Angie's List members, as I only got to the estimate stage (which is what I'm reviewing mainly), but I was asked so here ya go. We have our first kid on the way in our recently purchased home, and the carpets on the bedroom/top foor have always been pretty shabby, cream colored, and beat up. We decided on getting a new carpet when we found the time, and now we have little choice. we went to HD to get some supplies about 3 weeks ago and spoke to a rep to get a carpet installation quote. we were setup with measure comp, a company out of Detroit iirc, and the measure comp rep came by, as scheduled and on time, with a a pretty trick measuring tool no other estimator used. Was in and out in ten minutes or so. A day or so later I got quotes through the HD system, given what I asked for in the store. No issues with the service, the estimate was free as part of a promotion, and of course measure comp/HD called me, per usual, for a couple weeks to confirm/answer q's. We ended up going in another direction (due to pricing, provider/installer being one entity, personal recommendations, other intangibles) with another provider. Carpet will be installed tentatively on Apr 7th.

Good. Surprised the delivery was 2 weeks instead of the 4 week window they initially gave me.

Took my drawing and measurements to Home Depot. They gave me an estimate, signed me up and charged me. 2 weeks later a tech came to do the template. All done on little computer. Was asked to sign each page. Requested a copy. That was e-mailed. If I hadn't read that I wouldn't have known to level the cabinets., (I could not understand the tech) They would have taken the tops back, charged me 75.00 and rescheduled. Remember, I had to ask for a copy of this report. The tops were installed, no problem. I have to caulk and paint around the tops. They don't do that. This was explained along the way. I don't like that the kitchen is not a finished job. It's a work in progress. Not what I started out expecting. Back to day one, when I first went into the store. I asked if we could coordinate with the flooring dept. for tile floors and maybe a backsplash. Was told we don't do that. The tile dept is over there-she pointed. Bought $7700 worth of flooring somewhere else. I would not use H D again for a large project.

Installer came promptly on schedule. Set down drop cloths and cardboard to protect the hardwood floors and outside patio. Worked alone and was finished in around four hours. I explained that I was planning to install the old storm door elsewhere and to take special care when removing it as not to damage it. The installer did all that I asked of him. Was very professional and courteous. His workmanship was top of the line. He installed 36x80 fiberglass main door along with a full view storm door, new casing, threshold and capped everything in vinyl. I was very satisfied with the final product.

We rented the tool for 4 hours but the store closed in 2 1/2 hours so we didnt have to return it until 9:00am the next morning. We had to wait a little to rent the tool because of him helping other customers but after we were waited on, he was very friendly and helpful, testing the tool to make sure it worked before giving it to us. The nails were very conveniently sold there. A little more expensive than another local rental shop but still reasonably priced.

Dealing with Home Depot for window replacement was the single worst experience of my life. The installers showed up, replaced the bay window and disappeared for 3 weeks. Home Depot had no idea where they were. They finally showed up to finish the job, told me they had been ''sick''. Had to have the bay window serviced, installer called it the worst installation he had ever seen, had to completely reinstall it. They got caulk all over my brick. 2 windows had different grids than all the others. Called to have this fixed and no one would return my calls. I spent many hours on the phone, finally contacted customer service in Georgia HQ, to get the problem resolved. A complete nightmare dealing with TOTAL incompetence.

CONTACT HOME DEPOTS RENTAL CENTER TO SEE AVAILABILITY OF A FLAT BED. NO PROBLEM GETTING IT OR PICKING IT UP. THERE IS A FLAT FEE OF $75 FOR THE FIRST HOUR. I WAS ABLE TO COMPLETE THE TASK IN THAT TIME. VERY CONVENIENT.

AFTER THE PREVIOUS POOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE HOME DEPOT IN DELAWARE WE CALLED THE STORE IN BELAIR TO SEE IF THEY USED A DIFFERENT SUBCONTRATOR WHICH THEY DID THE MEASUREMENTS WERE WRONG THEY CAME TO INSTALL THE CARPET AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH CARPET. BUT THEY FIX IT AND WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL THEY HAD THE PROBLEM FIXED RIGHT AWAY.

I CALLED HOME DEPOT TO COME IN and LAY CARPET FOR MY UPSTAIRS FLOORING. THEY SEEMED TO DO A WONDERFUL JOB GETTING BACK TO ME and TAKING CARE OF THE WORK I NEEDED DONE. I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.

HOME DEPOT DELIVERED PERGO WOOD FLOORING IN THE TIME FRAME SPECIFIED. THE INSTALLERS WERE PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND VERY CONSCIENCOUS OF THEIR WORK. CLEAN UP WAS ALSO NICE.

I WOULD GO TO HOME DEPORT AND GET THEM TO DO ANY WORK DONE IN MY HOUSE IF THEY DID IT. THEY WERE VERY NICE AND HELPFUL AND THE WORK LOOKS GREAT AND PEOPLE LOVE MY NEW FLOOR.

ESTIMATE AND WORK COMPLETED PROMPTLY. THE GENERATOR WAS RECEIVED WITHIN TWO WEEKS OF ORIGINAL ORDER( LARGER SIZED GENERATOR - APPARENTLY SMALLER HOUSEHOLD GENERATORS HAVE AN 8 WEEK BACKLOG) CONTRACTOR CLEANED UP AFTER SELF AND PERFORMED WORK IN A SHORT AMT. OF TIME. GOOD FOLLOW-UP FROM CONTRACTOR. DELAYS WERE ON OUR SIDE NOT THEIRS.

WE HAD GOTTEN MANY ESTIMATED TO HAVE OUR DOOR REPAIRED BUT HOME DEPOT HAD THE BEST DEAL FOR OUR NEEDS. THEIR PROFESSIONALISM AND PRICE WAS EXCELLENT AND VERY EFFICIENT.

OVERALL, THE EXPERIENCE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A DISAPPOINTMENT BECAUSE THE STORE DID NOT MAKE IT CLEAR TO THE CUSTOMER THAT THE PRICE OF THE ITEM DID NOT INCLUDE INSTALLATION.

OVERALL, THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS VERY GOOD. THE COMPANY CAME ON THE DATE AND TIME THAT WAS PROMISED. THEY WERE ABLE TO INSTALL THE DOORS, BUT NEEDED TO RETURN TO PROPERLY PLACE THE SENSORS. THE QUALITY OF THE ACTUAL MERCHANDISE WAS NOT QUITE AS GOOD AS EXPECTED DUE TO THIN WIRING THAT CAN EASILY SNAP.

I PURCHASED 100 SQUARE FEET OF BRUCE OAK FLOORING FOR MY NEW HOME OFFICE. I DID THE INSTALLATION MYSELF ON THE ADVISE OF THE SALES PERSON. THE JOB WENT FINE. I COMPLETED THE INSTALLATION IN ABOUT FOUR HOURS. IT TURNED OUT BEAUTIFUL.

HOME DEPOT WAS VERY EFFICIENT AND HELPFUL WITH GETTING THE PARTICULAR KIND OF MULCH WE WANTED DELIVERED TO OUR HOUSE. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OUTSTANDING.

WHEN I GOT THERE, THERE WERE DIFFERENT STYLE UMBRELLAS FOR SALE. THE ONE I WAS INTERESTED IN DID NOT HAVE A PRICE. I ASKED A SALES PERSON AND HE WAS VERY QUICK IN GETTING THIS INFORMATION FOR ME AND EVEN HELPED ME CARRY IT.
