I plan on filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau.
Description of Work: Oil Delivery. Absolutely no urgency to deliver oil despite that fact that I was close to empty when the March 13-15 snowstorm hit. In mid Feb, I was due an auto oil delivery. Received phone call to alert me. Said if they had to make special trip to service me, that I could wait another week. Said would see me following week. I did not notice till March 12th (Sunday) that never received oil. Called early morning March 13th (Monday around 8 am). Despite informing them of their negligence and pleading, told it may be several days before getting oil. Call me Thursday (March 16th) to tell me would not make oil delivery due to my driveway not being plowed or driven upon. It wasn't plowed because there was only 2-1/2" of snow cover. There was a coat of ice on top, but my driveway is fairly level, at least the section where they could have used their 150' hose to reach my fill cap if they wanted to. I called on Friday (March 17th) to see if they would attempt another delivery over the weekend (temps were to warm up significantly), and was told they "may make another attempt" on Monday! I am just about on fumes, by now! During this conversation, I asked what the current price of oil was. As it seemed high to me, I called Carroll, just for price comparison purposes. Carroll's normal price that day was 25 cents less per gallon than Corbin, plus they offered 1st time fill up "new" customers another 30 cents off per gallon. Carroll was even nice enough to caution me to see if I was going to be penalized by Corbin for breaking the cap (set upper limit on oil price). I called back Corbin and talked to Austin. I went over my situation, to which he responded with one excuse after another... when you come off auto delivery, the manual delivery can get lost (for 3+/- weeks?), they had a lot of customers call them that Monday (March 13th)- like my situation did not take precedence, my driveway was not plowed and was ice, to it was costing them money every time they come out to "attempt" delivery. I then told him about Carroll's pricing to which he started bashing Carroll for using the "sucker" prices to entice customers in and make it up in succeeding years... which they all do. This was not news to me, and i was going to stay with Corbin, until the man-child said that Corbin had bent over backwards to please me... yeah, by letting me run out of oil! I then asked how much money would be refunded to me on my Annual Burner Policy, if I left Corbin. My policy renewed at in November 2016, and since that time, absolutely no work (not even the annual check-up and cleaning) had been performed. At first, I was told nothing would be refunded. Then in response to asking who I could talk to about it, was placed on hold, and then told $35. When I responded in amazement, I was told that Corbin did me a huge favor by giving me a $70 break on there otherwise $299.00 price for the policy. I paid $229 (in advance!!!). I then asked Austin, who came up with the $35. He said Mark. When I asked for Mark's title, he responded that Corbin was a small family owned company, that they have no titles. I then asked him for Mark's last name. Once again I was told that Corbin is a small family owned company, they have no last names. I decided at this time it was a waste of time dealing with him and wished him a good day. He then asked me if I wanted to close my account... to which I said NO! I waited 5 minutes and called Corbin back on another number. A young lady answered. I briefly explained the situation to her, to which she informed me that she could not help me because Mark unilaterally closed my account. When I asked to speak to the President (whom I found out was Mark), I was informed that he wasn't in (yet he was there for Austin?). I asked if she would have Mark call me back. to which she told me she "might" see him next week. Today is March 30, 2017 and I have still not heard back from the company. Meanwhile, Carroll delivered oil to my house THE NEXT DAY (Saturday)!!! Two years ago I thought they were the best... but like Austin said this was a "sucker" move to entice me in. This company does not deserve to be in business!!!
