Mike Dowell was great to work with. I never thought the shaving stand could be repaired after it fell off a shelf and the mirror supports and mirror cracked but Mike did a marvelous job putting it back together. Work was excellent.

OMG they are beautiful! The cleaning and brightening kept all the memories (such as a very small bit of 'graffiti' that my sister or I added). The chairs had become unusable because they were falling apart. The finish had been dark and dingy. Now they are wonderful and the price was right compared to other vendors I had called over the years. I travel a lot for work and Mike was very accommodating with my schedule for drop off and pick up.

These chairs had been tucked away in my hayloft for 10 years and looked really old, filthy and beat up when I dropped them off. The before and after is amazing. These chairs now look like beautiful antiques and I am treating them as such! Mike clearly takes great pride in his work and was great with his advice on each chair. I highly recommend Lauer Furniture Restoration!

It was wonderful! I bought the deal and he contacted me the very next day. I had a dresser and a mirror that was supposed to be attached. The mirror frame was in pieces, the dresser drawers were broken, and the dresser hardware was missing. He restored the dresser, put on new, shiny hardware, and put the mirror frame together like a puzzle. It was wonderful! If I have anything like that again I will go back to him and send my friends and family to him as well.

Mike Dowell stopped to pick up the items for repair and returned them within a couple of weeks. We were very pleased with Mike's professionalism and craftsmanship. All of the pieces look great and you cannot notice the repairs. We are having other pieces restored as well through Lauer Furniture Restoration, highly recommended!

The provider was pleasant, timely in communicating with me what needed to be done and again was timely in reporting that he felt the repair would be too difficult and I totally understood the reason for being unable to complete a difficult job and it may not match.. I appreciated his honesty. Please disregard the "C" that was given November 17, 2014

The job was beautifully done. and returned to me within three weeks. His estimate for the overall job was $350-$450 less the $200 credit (for which I had paid $99). My total cost, including the Angie's list special fee of $99 was $265. He was professional, fast, and did wonderful work. The wood was pine and hard to match the grain and the color, but you cannot see any difference between his work and the original finish. He reassembled the hutch and placed it back in its original location

Mike was quick to answer my phone call and set up a date to pick up the table. He had the table done in half the time he had quoted and was very flexible in times to drop off the completed table. The table turned out great - color matched and it looks wonderful.

I would definitely use Lauer Furniture Restoration again. Mike, did a wonderful job repairing the legs of my coffee table that had pulled away from the base. The small antique bench looked beautiful and the dove-tailed drawer from an old dresser, that came totally apart when I pulled it out too far and dropped it on the floor, fit perfectly back into it's place in the dresser. I am extremely pleased with all of the work that was done.

I inherited a 60 year old corner hutch from my mother that was in need of restoration due to many gouges, scratches and worn out areas. I met Mike Dowell after I hired him to refinish my bedroom end tables and a small dresser and because they turned out so well I asked him about possibly restoring the hutch. He assured me that it was the perfect candidate for restoration. It was returned to me today in beautiful condition. It looks brand new but the original integrity of the piece was not compromised. I would not hesitate to hire this company again. Their prices are very reasonable and their work is excellent. I would also like to mention that it is a family owned business and Mike and his wife, Julie, are very nice to deal with. They are respectful, friendly and very accommodating.
