Basement Waterproofing Nationwide Inc had waterproofed my lower level a few years ago. They did an excellant job and the workers were extremely courteous. They never hesitated to answer my many questions while working. I had to have a backup battery added to the sump pump a little while after the initial waterproofing. A hurricane was predicted in the next few days and they installed the backup before the hurricane hit, even though I'm sure they had many, many requests in addition to mine. During the snow and ice this winter, the pipe leading outside from the sump pump had come unattached. I called their office and someone came out the same day to reattach and seal the pipe. The customer service could not be any better. This company was recommended to me and I would also recommend highly this company to anyone in need of waterproofing. They're the best!

Workers are very punctual, professional and did a good job. The job took 3 days. There were a few issues that needed to be addressed and the management staff (Pat) and Chris, the VP came to our home and immediately resolved those issues. We would highly recommend this company to anyone needing these services. They are a pleasure to deal with and they deliver what they promise - which is very unusual in today's world. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Everything went as planned. 2 days. no leaks after heavy rains. They are very excellent at what they do.

The salesperson, Mike, was professional in his demeanor and dress. He understood the nature of my problem and thoroughly explained potential solutions. Thus far I have interviewed five vendors for this project and am pleased to say that Mike stood out from the rest.

BWN did an incredible job and I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a water problem. Our consultation with BWN's salesman was really great ? he was friendly and personable, and made some suggestions that none of the other contractors did (I got 2 estimates before them & decided to go with BWN, who was about mid-range for price). The work was performed efficiently and done in one day ? totally professional job. These are the guys to call! It's been over 6 months and the basement has been totally dry.

The salesman did a thorough evaluation of the basement, both inside and out, to determine the cause of the leaks. He gave us a detailed explanation of the work proposed, as well as a quote for the cost. The work was done exactly as described by two men who told us what they were doing every step of the way. The left the room clean and neat, and the basement is dry!

The inside repairs went very well. This job required quite a bit of excavation work. The outside connection to the drain was poorly done, however they did follow up and corrected the problem to our satisfaction in a timely manner. Overall they did a very good job just some of details were a little lacking. We would definitely use and recommend this company in the future.

from a portion Initial contract was for S&I up to 4-6" bubler pots in conjunction with install of buried discharge line,supply and install bentonite injection ,supply and install 13ft. channel drain etc.Some water still leaking after very heavy storms.total cost $11,700.Next Supply and install custom catch basin in ceilingw/drain system.Demo drywall and framing,a one way move,plumb both discharges into sanitary line. Cost $15000.This job took about 5 days of substantial work,was it necessary ,I do not know.Next a drain pipe froming a small portion of a flat roof was found to be the cause for most of if not all the water coming into the house ,that was repaired well ,by only one very competent worker in two full days at a cost of $5900.As I comment I was add the work quality was excellent however the cost was an outrage.

The crew arrived and immediately wanted to see the areas that were to be repaired. We agreed on the area and they went straight to work. I was working from home and using the internet and telephone. While I was on my conference call the phone line died and my internet session was terminated. I thought the interruption was caused by the shotty internet service, but I had to get back on my call and I reviewed every option. I raced down the stairs to ask the crew chief if by chance they cut the cable lines. He checked outside with the other members of his team and sure enough they confirmed my worst nightmare. I made a call to the cable company and they couldn't promise anything for same day service but a supervisor promised to get back to me. In the meantime I contacted the owner Steve and he promised to come over with a hotspot for my computer. Unfortunately this fix did not work, but he did contact his district supervisor, Pat, who was an expert in cabling. He came to my home, assessed the damage and ran out for supplies to repair the cable. He returned about a half an hour later with the supplies and began work. Within an hour he was able to repair the cable, surround the cable with a protective sealant, fill in the hole and cover the area with grass seed and mulch. Pat was amazing and kept his cool under pressure. Even though there was a series of errors BWN Basements did everything they could to rectify the problem and fix the initial waterproofing of my basement. Some people would say that they would never use this company again, but I say BRAVO!!!!! They came to my rescue when I need them and they couldn't do enough for me. I would definitely recommend this company for their professionalism and due diligence.

The quoting service went very well. they were responsive and knowledgeable. they were provided a good quote. He was very personable, very knowledgeable and offered additional things as part of the solution just focusing on the one piece. When I asked information and he's willing to share his experience which is what I like. They used different technology than other the companies. The little bit problem I have with them is their scheduling. They have more willingness to have a more comprehensive solution and not just focus on one piece is what they do.

It went very well. I do not know exactly how much they charged us but it was probably $7,000. We were actually really happy with everything that they did from beginning to end, from the time that we had someone out to do an estimate to the actual guys who came to do the work. They did the job quickly and efficiently and we have not had any problems since. I wish that the service did not cost so much but I think that their price was fairly appropriate. We would use them again in the future for sure.

BWN was very professional. Steve Taylor visited our house and gave us an estimate for several different kinds of work, along with what would probably be the best for our situation. Since our basement already has an existing drain system and sump pump, we opted to have BWN open up a small section of the floor, install wallboard and drain tile, and redo the concrete. This way water from the leaking wall will flow into the drain system which already exists. Since our sump pump was of indeterminate age (we moved into the house 1.5 years ago and the previous owner could not recall how long ago the original basement waterproofing was done) we chose to have that replaced as well. Evan arrived at our house to do the work just about on time and worked hard. Our floor section was not easy to open up (hard concrete under a low staircase and landing). He was completely finished with the job, including applying the new layer of concrete before 3PM. He took care to level the new layer of concrete as flush with the old layer as possible in the section where we will need to put tile down so that the tile floor will still be level.

After having my appointment for an estimate moved 3 times I gave up on them and cancelled my appointment, figuring on using someone else. I received a very apologetic email from the owner (Steve) who was willing to do anything to regain my trust. He came over to the Eastern Shore himself to offer a second opinion as I had already decided on another company. In short, I was very impressed with his depth of knowledge and professionalism. I accompanied him into the crawlspace where he detailed all of the shortcuts our previous basement contractor (now out of business) had taken which have led to our current problems. He was able to find the sources of our problems and offer reasonable solutions, well explained, that none of the numerous other contractors would have addressed and without "overselling." I still have some questions for him, but he has earned our trust and is well on his way to earning our business. I'll update as we progress. Well we went ahead with the project. This whole basement waterproofing business seems way overpriced but we were able to arrive at a price which was at least reasonable compared to other bids we received (not the cheapest by far, but not the highest either). Once Steve got involved things went like clockwork. The job took 3 days, one day longer than estimated, but he stuck to his contract price. One young man needed an attitude adjustment, but once that was handled the crew was very professional. We ended up with a far more efficient french drain system and they even added a pvc pipe to replace the old hose from our existing dehumidifier. The vapor barrier was very heavy duty and reinforced, covering the dirt floor and up the cinder-block walls. Not a full encapsulation, but that would have been overkill. The crawl space is now clean and dry. Water continues to infiltrate the cinder blocks, but Mike & his crew drilled 3 holes in each lower cinder block to relieve any pressure and ensure that the water would stay behind the vapor barrier and go into the french drain. After a year it seems to be working fine. Overall the job was very good. There are some almost inevitable wrinkles in the barrier which prevent a perfect seal where the sections are taped together, so it's not perfect, but pretty darned good. I just wish they'd been able to smooth out those wrinkles before laying down the seam tape. Seems to be doing the job, though. Overall, we are very pleased. After the initial problems were addressed the final result is very good. I recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

Basement Waterproofing Nationwide Inc. did a great job. They were on time and thorough in the work that they did. They have been just a pleasure to work with. I was really pleased with how they did the follow-up issue. There were no questions asked. They came out and they were prompt. They did everything just to make it right. They didn't charge me with anything because it was still under warranty. I would use them in the future without hesitation.

They were real nice but we haven't used them. The gentleman was very friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable. His solution was going to cost us at least $1,500 and we didn't feel that was warranted. Most of the basement waterproofers offered a big solution that was really expensive. It wasn't what we needed or wanted right now. He was very kind.

The crew arrived on tome (actually 30 minutes early, which was fine). They worked quickly, cleaned up behind themselves and were done earlier than projected. I was told 8am-4pm, they arrived at 7:30 and were done and cleaned up at 1:30pm. After the completon, the Supervisor walked us through what they did, as well as tested the Sump-pump for us! I would highly recommend them for waterproofing work! They also gave us an estimate for basement remodeling (which is why we had the waterproofing done) which we are considering.

I liked using their service, they were fabulous. The guy that came out and explained everything did it so well that when I got another estimate, the other company was not as thorough and I knew from Basement Waterproofing Nationwide what to look for. They were prompt, clean, and adressed every issue that was needed. The price was much less than I thought it would be for the service.

I was torn about writing this review. In general I liked the estimator Mike who seemed professional and I liked their solution. I called them for an estimate based off of other Angies reviews and the pricing they had given others for similar services done/used per Angies. You can do the research yourself among this provider and other providers but the average cost for crack injection is $600-900. I expected their price to be similar to what they had previously quoted to others with the total with drywall to be less than and certainly no more than$1500. Instead they wanted $2400, with the crack injection cost alone around $1500. I'm not sure but possibly if my quote was done at any other time of the year the price quoted would have been in their average range. Whether the timing of the quote had an impact or not I don't know but I felt the pricing was high either way. Otherwise I would have used them and still now would consider using them. Update 7/17/13: I wanted to provide an update as I was contacted by the owner Steve and we had an electronic dialogue. First, I want to say that he was extremely professional and knowledgeable, willing to answer all of my many questions and provide additional insight and details. I do feel that the company, Steve and the services they provide are good and trustworthy based on my many interactions and explanations I received combined with my own research. The trustworthy component alone in this service category shouldn't be under appreciated. I know since I have had many basements in different houses with water issues. That being said, I did a lot of research and I am very comfortable with the cost of materials being used. Essentially the majority of the costs end up being labor related, which Steve admitted as well, with various valid reasons. I personally have addressed our situation but not to the level I am happy with and may have the additional services described in the paragraph above. I don't quite feel comfortable spending $2400 at this moment for the solution. I would however recommend Steve and his company .

I got flooded in the basement and I wanted to know what I could do, so he came out and told me that I could get a sump pump installed and quoted me $3500. I went to their website and requested for an appointment on a certain date, which was kind of really nice that I could do that and the president of the company personally responded back, he sent me a mail asking me if he could do it at another time. I was waiting on another company to come out and they wanted to be the last one to come out, so I asked him if he could come on a Friday, he said he normally doesn’t do that but he would, and he actually came out that Friday, which was great. When he came out, he was very nice, he looked on the outside, he looked inside, everything was wet in my basement, and it was funny that he even helped me to pull the carpet out for it to be dried. So he was really nice. He walked me through what needed to be done and how they were going to fix the issues by drilling down the side of the wall, removing the brick and concrete and then putting it back up and installing the sump pump in my utility room. The problem is I can’t afford to get it done right now. He followed up with me, the same afternoon, and sent me the written quote, so he was good.

They had done some work for me before. After the first time, the water was diverted to the front of the house and I wanted it devierted to the back. They came back out to fix it and did a great job. They are very friendly and it’s a great company.
