Description of Work: Sanded basement walls to remove peeling paint, vacuumed, applied a Drylock product. |The representative was very thorough and explain things well to my 91-year-old father. The team that actually did the work was very personable, neat and respectful. They worked diligently the whole day. There was no disruption to the main floor of our house or excess dust as it was filtered out the basement windows. |It has been over year and the basement looks just as nice as when they first did it and has held up very well. We are very satisfied.

Description of Work: Want it done right? Then these are your guys. You get what you pay for. Big rain today. Dry basement. After the job was completed we rolled the floors with a coat of paint and it looks tidy, clean and dry. (And ready to renovate!) Great job and would highly recommend.

Description of Work: Basement Waterproofing gave us excellent service on the installation of a sump pump. The sump pump seems to have solved the flooding problem that we have had after big rains or snow melt. Mike Tilton came back for a follow up visit and gave us good advice on how to deal with water coming from a different source.

Description of Work: Incredible experience with BWN. Kim came out on Monday afternoon for a free estimate to repair leaky basement. He spotted the problem immediately and then proceeded to pull up the wet carpet and remove the soaking wet padding underneath and bagged it up for me - all this before we even talked about cost or signed a contract. The team came out the next morning and installed a new sump pump. They removed all the wet carpeting, covered the furniture in the basement and cleaned up the entire site before leaving later that afternoon. Part of their work was performed in the pouring rain. Can't say enough positive things about this wonderful group of professionals! Thanks also to Angie's List for helping me find them and for getting me a discount on the job!

Description of Work: Installed water drainage system & sump pump in front of basement where water was rising up under foundation (due to rising underground stream) in heavy rain storms. Description of Work: I did not start my call to this companty stating I am an Angie's List member. I called asking for a ball park estimate for what it might cost to replace my electric sump with a battery backup sump. Instead of gettng a quote, I was transferred to the "matketing department" who wanted to send a tech to the home. When I insisted I just wanted a ball park number, I was transferred to a number for installations and instead of getting through to a person, I reached a voice mailbox. This felt like high pressure sales tactics. All I wanted to know is should I budget $600 or $6,000. I would not recommend this company.

Description of Work: I've used BWN twice. In Baltimore City (2004) and now in New Cumberland, PA. Both jobs were done exactly as agreed. The crews are polite and hard working and both basements are dry! They installed french drains, with a sump pump, in PA they also did the bentomite injection and installed vapor barriers on the walls. They also stand by their work. My house in PA was build many years ago and it has a cold water pipe for a small sink embedded in the concrete floor (not proper but that's what someone did) While dgging the trench, the crew cheif admitted that the pipe was split and he had to fix it. A few months later we discovered the pipe started to leak again. I explained the situation to their customer service... They confirmed what the crew chief had told me and within a week they had someone come out to fix it. AMAZING! I can not say enough good things about this company.

Description of Work: Basement Waterproofing came out to do an estimate for us. Very friendly, knowledgeable staff walked around the house for an entire hour, showing us areas of concerns. Since we are trying to sell the house, he said, just put some dehumidifier on, instead of spending money to fix the problem from root of its cause. was surprised to hear a contractor telling potential client not to do business with them, but that added credibility to this company. Ultimately, we have decided to go with another company, because we felt the need to make more substantial repair, but if it is for any other small repair job, i definitely would not hesitate to call this place to come and check out.

Description of Work: Received an estimate on Mar 16 from Chris. Work was scheduled for Mar 26 with Mat removing sheet rock to get to the crack in the basement wall. He drilled holes and put filler in the crack. On March 27 Bailey the carpenter came and replaced the drywall and spackled. All the men were very nice and took the utmost care in the job.
