Description of Work: Excellent! We had a tree fall on our guest house roof. They came on an emergency basis and promptly removed the tree and cleaned up the area. We hired them to cut up additional fallen trees. Highly recommend. Won't use anyone else.

Description of Work: There were three separate jobs. 1) The house is surrounded by shrubs and plants which required pruning and thinning. In addition some weed plants including a huge elderberry needed to be removed. 2) The lawns and driveway contain about 18 large specimen trees which had never been pruned and needed thinning. 3) There was a property border which was encroached on to a depth of about 30 feet by a particularly vicious combination of brambles and poison ivy. This area needed to be denuded down to soil, and overhanging weed tree branches needed to be removed so that light could get in and allow grass to grow.

Description of Work: The company responded quickly to our request for an estimate. The estimate was detailed and very professional. The work involved the removal of 2 trees and the trimming of a third.

Description of Work: They took out a large limb of a birch tree, they cleaned up a Chinese elm tree and reshaped it, and they removed a small tree.

Description of Work: Dead limb trimming (climbed up tree with ropes, not spikes! to protect tree) and soil injection of fall fertilizer for a number of trees.

Description of Work: ArborX cabled together a two large river birch trees in my backyard. The tree is a twin (used to be a triplet) and the two trunks are growing close together. They also trimmed the tree and one other on the property.

Description of Work: Arbor-X was contracted to do multiple tree removals (8 actually) and stump removals around the property. Of which, 5 pines were close to a shed in the yard. Arbor-X performed the work safely and without damage to my property. They placed large plastic mats down on the ground for the crane to drive on, so that ruts would not be left; in case the crane was too heavy. President of the company, David Driver, a Licensed Maryland Tree Expert and ISA Certified Arborist was on site actually doing a lot of the work. The other men worked hard and very careful of the property as well. They cleaned up everything and actually did more than they were contracted to do. While they were doing the work, I asked how much would it cost to add another tree removal? It was a mid-size white pine, David said don t worry about it, he removed the tree and ground out the stump for no charge. In the past, I had always done the tree work in my yard myself. With a busy life, I decided to see what it would cost to get a tree service to do it. I had never used a tree service before. I requested an estimate from Arbor-X and 12 letters went out to other tree companies requesting estimates. Several came back with return to sender because the address was wrong, but we received written estimates from these companies: tree service companies. Many companies didn t even respond. Here s how the prices went on the original work that was asked to be estimated: Arbor-X, $1940; tree service company, $3285 (and add $400 if the Certified Arborist was asked to be on site); tree service company, $1675; tree service company, $1550; tree service company, $3150. To be fair, two of the tree service companies were including a little more trimming than the other companies, they were suggesting more trimming than what was asked in the letter. After further conversation with Arbor-X, the job was given to Arbor-X. I feel I made the right decision and got more than my money s worth. I highly suggest using them. I think they arrived around 9:00 AM and finished the job around 1:45 PM. Their large expensive equipment and numerous skilled employees is what helped them to do the job quickly, but they really took the time to make sure all was cleaned up and took measures to minimize any yard damage. The pines behind the shed were picked up in one piece by their crane. David said a crane was not needed to do the work, but they own their own crane so why not - it was much faster, safer and less impact to the yard. One of the stumps was near my neighbors and they held up barriers to protect against any flying debris because of the neighbors house and cars nearby. I decided not to do the little bit of trimming that was originally estimated. I will use them again if I need tree work in the future.

Description of Work: A very large Ash (over 4 ft. in circumference), a huge Magnolia (over 85 ft.) and 5 other trees were taken down and removed. All stumps and the surface roots were ground and the grindings were removed. A number of other trees and bushes were trimmed and all the trimmings were also removed. After the trees in the back yard were removed, the yard was mowed with a machine that went down about 1" in the soil. The soil was then graded and prepared for seeding.

Description of Work: A large weeping cherry tree was removed from the middle of an established garden where it had grown too big over the years.

Description of Work: HIGH WINDS KNOCKED A PINE TREE AGAINST OUR HOUSE, AND ONTO OUR ROOF. THE COMPANY REMOVED THE 14 FOOT DIAMETER TREE FROM THE HOUSE, AND THEN ALSO REMOVED ALL THE WOOD, LIMBS, AND DEBRIS FROM OUR PROPERTY.
