Short version: First door had issue with construction of the right Sidelight Box and shades of left Sidelight were not level. Factory rep took pics and told me someone would get back with me to schedule After 3 weeks, I received a call from the factory technicians to schedule the repairs Door was removed and much discussion about who installed the door poorly. Installer comes back and the door is out of plumb 1/2" or more in one direction and 1/4" in a second direction. Back to the drawing board!!! That door is a lot of money that I don't believe they would put in their own home that way! After waiting for the new door to come in, the installer arrived to install the new door. After removing the old door, he brought some termite damage to my attention which I was then able to address with Terminix. He finished getting the door into the opening when he noticed two issues with the quality of the millwork. He immediately called Lowes to begin the process of getting them rectified and then brought them to my attention. He took the time to explain to me what to expect. I then had Chris from Reeb Millwork come to the house to "inspect" the issues. He took pictures and told me that someone would be in touch with me to make the repairs to my millwork issues. After three more weeks, I received a call from the factory technicians to schedule my repair. The night before I received a call that their van had broken down and couldn't make it. They rescheduled for the following week, removed the entire door, made repairs to my two concerns and reinstalled the door. They had to rehang the door, basically because it wasn't plumb...I didn't catch it. After another week and a reschedule, I called the Lowes installer to come back to finish out the trim work and hang the storm door. The first thing he did was double check the reinstallation of the door by the factory technicians. THAT was when I found out that the door had been installed out of plumb...in two directions. It also explained why the door was rehung! Again, the installer was on top of it and called the Lowes Installation Manager to come to my home to see the door. Yup, I will be going through this again! I can't be angry with the installer or Lowes, as they had no control over the issues I have had. However, REEB MILLWORK will be hearing from me directly!

The door was defective when it arrived as verified during an on-site inspection by Mr. Bruce Lannon, salesman, Reeb Millwork. As a result, Reeb Millwork offered me a full credit for the door. Because I never received the credit, I called Mr. Mark Cosden, President, Reeb Millwork who asked for all documentation to support my claim -- which I provided. After several weeks, phone calls, and emails from me, Mr. Cosden called me to report that, as a result of his investigation, Mr. Cosden verified that the full credit was issued to the contractor. However, the contractor asserts that Reeb Millwork would not honor the credit. I've asked Mr. Cosden for a written email confirming that the contractor was given my credit along with the date the credit was issued and the full amount of the credit. Despite Mr. Cosden's assertion that he would send me an email with the results of his investigation, I have not been able to get a response to my many calls and emails. At this point, I don't know who is telling the truth -- the contractor or Mr. Cosden, Reeb Millwork. However, Mr. Cosden only needs to put the facts in a written document for me to know his story is the truth.
Description of Work: Reeb Millwork provided a custom-made entryway door that I selected for installation by a contractor. The door was delivered to the contractor via Smoot Lumber in Alexandria, Virginia.
