Started well, but the framing carpentry was sloppy, contractor's helpers were unskilled which made it worse. The contractor wasn't a good manager and fell behind schedule for no reason that I could see other than laziness and hubris. The more I complained about the delays and questioned his choices, the worse his work ethic became. We ended up firing him and subbing out the remaining finish work ourselves. As we did that, we were confronted with a legacy of problems that he left us. The drywallers pointed out numerous sections of uneven or below code framing, the exterior siding was not attached securely in several spots, bathroom floor was not fortified enough, it has a bow in it after 1 year of use, and we discovered that the contractor never dealt with the HVAC inspections, creating a bit of a problem for us after the fact.
Description of Work: Two story addition from the ground up as well as renovating and moving the main bathroom.
