TWO SERVICES HAULING

Unsatisfactory. I called the telephone number for the company that was included in the newspaper advertisement. Within 15 minutes, I received a call from a Mr. Johns. I described the job and specified that it was less than one pickup load. After discussion, he agreed to show up the next day at 11:00 A.M. to give me an estimate. He would not estimate over the phone, which was OK with me. If the estimate was acceptable to me, then he would haul the items agreed upon. The next day, I took vacation time from work to be home in the middle of the day with the expectation that I would be able to return to work in the afternoon. The company did not show up or call at 11:00 A.M.. At 2:00 P.M., I called the company to find out if and when they would show up. A person answered the phone who described himself as a brother to the gentleman I talked with the day before. When he answered the phone, he just said hello and I wasn't sure if I dialed correctly. He said there must be a mix up. He blamed it on his brother who had the "book". I went through all the information again...name, address, items to be hauled. He said that he would make sure someone was at the house in an hour and they he would personally see to it. No one ever showed up and no one ever called. Because I needed the items hauled and didn't have the time to call another hauler. I ended up taking off work the next morning, renting a truck and doing it myself. This created major inconvenience, lost time from work as well as additional cost and frustration. If they didn't want the job, I would have been satisfied if they called and told me so.
