Tom met my wife and I at our new home to discuss some possible custom cabinet work. He was punctual and professional, and it seemed like he really knew his stuff. He even offered several good ideas that we hadn't even thought of. He provided us with an estimate within a week, and the prices quoted seemed very fair. In the end, we decided not to move forward with the project, but if we had, we would have gone with Tom and will definitely reach out to him in the future if we have any other custom woodworking projects.

I was looking to replace the original lanolium in our home's entryway and create a bit of a "wow" factor. I wanted a curved transition between the slate mosaic tile that I was planning to put down at the entryway, and the hardwood flooring for the front room. There were some commerical products for creating such a curved transition, but they looked cheap and awkward in the installations I saw online. So i decided to have one custom made. Spent the better part of a year trying to find a woodworker, who would A) respond to my inquiry, B) was actually interested in doing the work. Most places were not interested in doing a one time specialty item unless you wanted to buy in large quantities and I only needed one. Tom at TCS responded to my email very quickly with a quote and a can do attitu. About 4 or 5 weeks after I first contacted hm, I had my transition strip. While it wasn't cheap, it was an absolutely quality job and you could tell that he cares about the pieces he makes. Would definitely go back if I needed something custom made again.

The work was excellent! The shelves exactly match the originals, and the work was completed within a couple of days. We're very happy with Tom, and are already planning our next project with him.

Everything went great with Tom and our project. While it took a while for our cabinets to be complete, Tom was upfront about the length of the process and maintained great communication throughout the process. As with any big projects, we had some last minute changes and redos. Tom took care of everything with no questions asked. I would definitely recommend Tom and his craftsmanship to others (and have!) We are very happy with all the projects in which he was involved.

I have known Tom for many years, and trust him to do historically accurate work of the highest quality on our 100 year old home. I'm sure he did the work described here as a favor to us, since he is definitely overqualified. In the past, he has built a beautiful porch railing and designed custom display shelves for a bedroom. I'm looking forward to getting him back to build library shelves in our study. He's also a super nice guy!

I happened to notice that Tom's company is on Angie's List from an Ad in the magazine. Tom did work for me in my old home about 5 or 6 years ago. He did two big jobs at two different times. He does fantastic work and I highly recommend him. He is a great communicator throughout the process of completing your work. This is an honest guy and a great craftsmen.

Tom is fabulous to work with. He has great ideas, does beautiful work and finishes on time. We have used him for years on any number of jobs. He is not cheap, but his work is always first rate. (Be warned: he refuses to paint unless it is something he can do in his shop! ) We're now using him again to build a new cabinet in our living room with a wine rack. Highly recommend.

We met with several cabinet people and decided to go with Tom. Words cannot express our happiness with the products we received. He built three custom cabinets, and the workmanship, the detail and final product was beyond our expectations. Communication was excellent. The estimate he provided was right on target. We would not hesitate to use Tom again.

Tom from TCS Woodworking designed and made a built-in from scratch for my living area. First, he set up an appointment to find out what I needed and to measure everything. A couple of days later he emailed me with an estimate, which was over $3,000.00 less than another cabinetmaker. Next, he came to my house again with a computer-generated design for approval and to sign a contract (payments were to be made in 3 installments). It took Tom approximately 3 weeks to make the built-in and he was updating me regarding his progress via email and by sharing photos with me. The third appointment was to pick the stain, and the last one was for the actual delivery and installation. Throughout the entire process Tom was extremely accessible via telephone and email, making working with him an absolute pleasure. Just a nice guy with great work ethics and a passion for building furniture.
