It was in the evening, of the day before Thanksgiving, when I called Mr. Walter Barnes about my boiler. Without hesitation, Walt offered to visit my home that evening and he did. He made a number of adjustments to my boiler & he replaced my thermostat. After he completed his work in my home, the problems I had been having with overheating ceased to exist and it stopped. My thermostat began to control my boiler in my cellar. If you are looking for an honest, reliable and experienced contractor, look no further and choose Quality Heating & Cooling, Baltimore, MD. You will be glad you did!

My oil burner worked fine last heating season. Spring came and we opened the windows for a few weeks. Then the temp dropped one night and we turned it on and nothing happened. Yikes. We called several other technicians and they were busy with A/C calls by the time we called. Finally we called Quality. They scheduled the call and showed up right on time that day. They diagnosed the problem, ordered the part and came back to install it. The system works perfectly and I would definitely recommend Quality.

Mr. Barnes confirmed the appointment & called as requested, when he was en route so that I could meet him there. He was willing to explain what he was doing to what he thought might be the problem. Once he pulled down the furnace he confirmed what it needed, told me he would order the part reassured me that it would work overnight and that he would return the next day to install the part. He cleaned up once he was finished both times.
Description of Work: Walter Barnes came to check out the furnaces as it wasn't heating. He identified that a switch was defective as well as the motor. He replaced the switch & ordered the motor for the following day. The furnace was able to heat the house overnight! It was replaced as promised & the furnace is fully operable.

I called my home warranty company for our AC not working. They referred a contractor who never contacted me to schedule or returned my calls to get someone out. Got the run around. Called the warranty company back and they referred Quality Cooling and Heating. Walter answered and scheduled me immediately. He came on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. Within a short time he replaced the capacitor on my unit and had it working properly. Walter is very professional, prompt, and skilled. I would recommend him and use his company again in the future.

Walter was professional courteous and responsive by phone, He completed the work in a reasonable timeframe and got me back up and running without costing me a fortune. His company was selected by my home warranty company but I first looked him up on Angie's list to make sure his company was a quality one. I had to pay for all of the modifications to get a new unit connected to an old condominium. His prices were fair.
Description of Work: My outdoor condenser was freezing up and as it turned out needed complete replacement if the entire heating unit.

Description of Work: I needed work done on an HVAC unit on a rental property. My tenants had no heat and I needed someone to fix the issue ASAP. I called them on a Saturday and they came out to do a diagnostic that afternoon. The part was ordered and installed the following Monday.

Can't say more ... pretty much covers it. Found it. Fixed it. less than an hour.
Description of Work: Analyzed blower not working in the upstairs heat pump blower unit ... found the non-working capacitor and replaced. All in all quick, courteous, knowledgable work. Definitely will call him again with any further work.

Description of Work: Dan Roper, a heating and air conditioning contractor, turned out to be-- along with his assistant-- an excellent worker and businessman. He installed a mini split system in my house --not an easy task in a log house. He was always polite and patient and did an excellent job of installation, taking care not to damage the house in any way. I am so pleased with the product, as well. But I did need some help getting started and managed to forget Dan's excellent orientation rather quickly. He came back immediately to help me with both the heating functions and then the air conditioning when I called for help. Dan did a great job of keeping the cost reasonable and as I said, provided an excellent product which he stands by when necessary. Working with Dan was an excellent experience, and I am pleased to be have the use of the more efficient system of heating and cooling, thanks to him.
