The quote was high. They were professional. They were responsible and came on time. They gave us some good advice. They are going to come and revise the quote. If the quote is good, we will go with them. If I need any fence work in future, I would use them.

The day came to install the fence, and 3 carpenter's arrived to measure off the posts and stake out the perimeter. They were very professional, and Walter (the foreman) was very polite and answered all my questions. Amazingly, they finished 3/4 of the job, and probably would have finished it if they hadn't run out of wood and some hardware. They couldn't come back the next day because they couldn't get all their supplies, but called me the night before to tell me. When they came the day after they quickly finished the fence and the drive gate and were done around 2pm! The fence looks beautiful and we've gotten many compliments from our neighbors. Mr Pyle Sr. reported he got 3 more contracts in our neighborhood after completing our fence!I highly recommend Pyle fence for their professionalism, price, and family-owned small business style.

The company was referred to us by our pool contractor as "the best one we work with." I contacted them via Angie's List over the weekend. The rep called today (Tuesday) and left a message. I called him back and left a message. He called back and first spoke with my wife, who highlighted our need (estimate for the fencing and a target completion date of 25 May). He started arguing with her that he couldn't even think about that date, and she was unrealistic. She passed him off to me, hoping that talking to a man might make a difference. I explained what I needed, and he immediately went into a song and dance about not being able to even think about the estimate or an installation date. I stopped the conversation and told him I'd take my business to someone who doesn't start with making excuses. All he had to do was say, "When can I come over and give you an estimate?" Instead, he starts off on a tangent of why he can't do something before even coming over. Can't recommend these guys because the lack of professionalism of the sales reps.

They were wonderful. We had gotten their estimate several months prior, but had to get some issues resolved with our homeowners association before we could start, so Pyle was very patient waiting on us. They held to their estimate during this time. The fence is of excellent material and we are happy with it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

The experience was good with a few caveats. We had three or four people come out in a row to combine to have the job done. Communication with them was a bit erratic. Some of the work was great with no issues. There were other people that we had to have back. There were some things that they should've done as common sense, if fencing is their profession. It was a moderate experience. My experience was fine.

Called for a fence repair over a month ago, said they would come look at it 3 weeks ago. Nothing since.

Chris Middleton was very responsive to our inquiry. He contacted us over the weekend to set up an appointment for the week. He came out on time and was courteous and professional. He was also knowledgeable about the field. We ended up deciding against them becasue they were about 25% higher than the company we ended up hiring. We would probably recommend them to others at least to get a quote. They were not a good fit for our needs this time but it does not mean they are not good!!!

This is the second time I have used Pyle Fence. I got an estimate from Tim T. at Pyle Fence, Inc. in June of 2009. I was told the estimate was good indefinitely, and that I did not have to rush to a decision. This worked at well since I was confronted with several emergent house repairs, and the fence was put on hold. In June of 2010 I spoke with Tim T. to finalize the plan and make the deposit. True to his word, the estimate was still valid. The work was scheduled for 9:00 - 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27th, and the crew showed up at 9:00 sharp. The old fence was down and being loaded on the truck in less than an hour. The entire project was completed, cleaned up, and the crew in their vehicles at 5:00 sharp. They left the area cleaner than when the started -- they actually took away the hedge clippings left over from when I cleared their path to the fence, and I am pretty certain they pulled out all the poison ivy that was along the old fence line. My neighbors are happy and my family is happy!

Tim Turin was right on time and gave me an estimate that was slightly better than three other fence companies and for an upgraded fence. He was quite knowledgeable about fencing and gave me some good ideas for my fence. The crew came out on time and finished in one day just before an electrical storm began. I am very pleased with my new fence.

Bill Pyle was difficult to get a hold of and I think the price was high. I remember thinking "$2275 for a fence? This is ridiculous" However, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of work. These guys even jackhammered out existing concrete to pour new concrete for the posts. By lunch, they had the frame built and one guy was putting up battens. He used a jig guaranteeing equal spacing. By day's end, I had a fence completely installed and they had cleaned up. I had a raised bed garden they built the fence around. My tenants absolutely loved the privacy and security provided. I wish I had more houses that needed a fence.

Pyle Fence did an excellent job. I absolutely love the fence. My backyard looks great. Friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Pyle Fence.

The project went very well from scheduling the estimate to the completed work. The removal of the old fence and construction of the new fence took two days, and the crew secured my backyard appropriately (given my location in the city). I was very pleased, as were my neighbors (I replaced a shared bit of fence as well).

HORRIBLE service. Steer clear. We ve found so many GREAT folks on Angie s List, and this 1 HUGE disappointment. Fence was installed as planned, but the gate looked a little funny. A few days later they called to check up, asked for my credit card number to settle the balance, and I gave it. After another few days, I realized that the gate was barely working. From the back alley, anyone could stick 3-4 fingers through the huge gap in the door/frame and pop it right open. The other end was poorly braced, and the bottom of the door had not been measured correctly, causing it to scrape the ground. I called to speak to someone. I AGAIN gave my CC# for the balance and asked to have it fixed. Was promised a swift call in return. After a week, we finally got a call back, but it was a request for the balance, which I had already given twice, and no record of the complaint. At that point I say NO, I have given it twice and I want to watch my statement to see if someone had my card number, but will pay as soon as the repair is made. What repair? Another promise for a call. I call back the next week. We have a door that opens right into our yard. I call AGAIN the NEXT week. I call ANGRY on a Friday, get promised that on Monday they will come and fix the gate. On Monday, no call, no show. I call in, no return call. We get robbed out of the back yard; 1 large planter, three chairs, a rake and hedge clippers, with an open gate when we get home. We get a call, apologizing, saying they come the next day, approximately 5-6 weeks after the first request. They come and fix the gate. It finally is where it should have been originally. Pyle Fences calls the next day to check in, and I say, I will be glad to pay now, but I want to talk to a manager/owner first. 2 weeks later, I get a call from a secretary asking for payment. I say, that I am happy to pay as soon as I talk to an owner/manager. She asks why and I explain what I have described above. She INCREDIBLY rudely questions if it is really necessary to complain about stolen yard chairs. I again ask to speak to an owner and she says one will call. 3 weeks later I get a call from the original sales person saying my bill is going to collections, but that he stopped it to find why I had not paid. I explained to him everything above, and said I really wanted to speak to an owner/manager, as I have been asking to do for months. He promises me one will call. 2 days later, the sales person calls back again, because management/ownership does not have time, but did have the time authorize him to knock $100 off of the bill. I accepted, but let him know I would still be telling our full experience on Angie's. We've found wonderful masons, plumbers, HVAC, and electricians here on Angie's List. This company has the worst communication and customer service I have ever experienced on a house project.

They did an excellent job. The crew that came worked very hard to make sure I was satisfied. They were also flexible and very courteous and polite. They respected me and my property. I would use them again and would recommend them to others.

Their estimator came promptly after I called. He was thoughtful and professional. The fence was installed professionally ahead of schedule. Their crew was polite, took care to minimize the impact on our plantings, and delivered an excellent product.

Response to my request for an estimate was prompt; Mr. Tuer was polite, professional and efficient, answering my questions clearly, and offering some helpful suggestions. Work was scheduled easily and done on scheduled date. One of the gates was not done as specified; this was corrected the day after I called. The fence is sturdy, well-placed and looks good. It's just what we wanted.

Pyle's was a very, very good service. They were professional and prompt and extremely friendly. I got an excellent price and the work is also guaranteed for a year which I like.

Everything went smoothly from the estimate to the completion of the work. There were 3 workmen and one foreman who came to start the work, and came back to check in the middle of it and confirmed some details with me. They did a lot of customizing fit for the split rails so there was plenty of room in each post opening for both rails. This prevents future bowing of the rails, I presume. The workers spoke Spanish and the lead worker also spoke fluent English. The new fence looks beautiful. We are very pleased.

I called them three times over a two week period, they took my number and never returned the calls. I hired someone else.

From Tim who took the measurements and gave the estimate to the crew who did the work, all were extremely nice and very professional. Granted the crew didn't speak a lot of English, I was still able to communicate my concerns and wishes. It obviously worked. They did a beautiful job and left a very clean yard. I highly recommend Pyle Fence.

Mr. Pyle's son runs the company, but Sr. Pyle himself came to my house on a Sunday to give me an estimate. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He even walked up the hill to measure, which was no easy feat (45-degree angled hill). They started within 2 weeks, completed the job within 2 days. They also cleaned up very well, and now, the whole family loves our new backyard! P.S. They even honored my $100 off coupon, even though I forgot to present it at the time of the estimate.

It went very well. The crew took 2 1/2 days to install the fence, a little longer than they had anticipated, but the result was very impressive. Our hound dog, Ramses, is especially satisfied.

See above. It went very badly. I wrote two letters and faxed them to the owners of the company stating my experience and saying they were going to lose business with this kind of attitude on the part of a representative, especially since I had told several people about using Pyle in the past. In my letter I stated I would remove their sign on my existing fences, as I no longer wished to advertise their fencing since I was treated so badly on the phone by their representative.

Although there was a little mix up on the start date, this company did a fantastic job. Three guys showed up and did the entire job in one day, and they were extremely professional and hardworking. The fence looks fantastic, and we're very happy with the results. We also got quotes from two other well known companies, and Pyle was $600-$1500 cheaper. We're very happy with them.

One of the best fence installations I have seen. The crew was extremely meticulous and neat. They made certain that we were completely satisfied. The no-pressure salesman was extremely helpful as well.
