The order was quickly assigned to Pinnacle Plumbing & Electric via the Sears bid process. PInnacle went into the Sears system and accepted the assignment. Pinnacle picked up the water heater according to Sears. But they never called. They didn't call me back after leaving 2 messages on the emergency line. They didn't call Sears back after Sears left 3 messages on the emergency line. As a result of the ineptitude of Pinnacle Plumbing, our family does not have hot water through the Memorial Day weekend. We are preparing for a wedding this weekend also - and will have to go to a friend's house for showers. I'm not sure which is worse here... Sears guaranteeing that the heater would be installed or Pinnacle for not responding to many emergency phone calls, picking up and then ultimately not installing the hot water heater. As a result of this issue, I am going with another company. Upon calling Sears (multiple times), the order was canceled and Sears is sending a gift card for my troubles...which I appreciate, but is not enough IMO for the amount of time I spent waiting....and waiting....and waiting.... for someone to ultimately no show. Due to this experience, I would NEVER hire Pinnacle. I wouldn't trust they would ever show up or return phone calls.
Description of Work: I bought a Hot Water Heater from Sears that was guaranteed to be installed the same day.

The installer showed up on time and took several hours to complete the installation and conversion to LP, explaining that it would take awhile because he needed to read the instructions to be sure everything was done right because each oven was different. After completing his work, he briefly showed me the flames on the stop top and the orange glow in the oven then turned off both the stove top and the oven. Several days later I turned on the oven to bake something, and after about a minute huge flames started shooting out from the bottom of the oven. I let it burn for a minute thinking maybe it was a buildup of LP in the pipes. The huge flames continued and a strong chemical smell filled my kitchen. I turned off the oven and contacted Sears, from whom I bought the oven and who hired Pinnacle to do the installation. They were unable to reach anyone so left a message categorizing the situation as an emergency and told me someone should be contacting me within 24 hrs. No one from Pinnacle contacted me. I called Pinnacle myself a day later. No one answered and I was sent into voice mail so I left a message repeating the request for someone to come and correct the issues with the oven. Still no one from Pinnacle contacted me. I called Pinnacle again the next day asking for a return call that same day, reiterated my concerns, and the urgency. No one returned my call. I contacted Sears again the following day to see if they could get through to Pinnacle, or assign someone else to come and correct the issue so I could use my oven. Sears attempted to contact Pinnacle again, got no one and left another message and told me to expect a call within 24 hours. No one from Pinnacle contacted me. I called Sears again the next day to report status, they called Pinnacle again and got no one so left another message. I refused to accept another ?wait for 24 hrs? status as a full week had now gone by with no one responding to any contacts in a full week so I demanded that either someone else come to complete the adjustments needed or provide me with another oven that works properly. Sears opened a case and will complete an exchange to resolve my issue due to the unresponsiveness of Pinnacle. It is unacceptable for a licensed organization to refuse to return repeated phone calls, especially when the calls involve a dangerous situation with LP flames out of control in an appliance. To avoid a potential home fire or explosion I have stopped using my oven completely, which is a huge inconvenience for me and my family, especially during the holiday season. I strongly recommend that no one ever do business with Pinnacle Plumbing & Electric in Baltimore Maryland due to their extreme unprofessionalism and refusal to respond to phone calls and messages. I have filed a formal complaint with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation to make them aware of this situation as well, hoping to get their attention somehow.
