We had a bunch or our roof shingles blown off during the high winds on Friday March 2. Saturday I called 4 roofing contractors to make appointments for repair bids. I got 4 different answering services and left messages with them. Carlo called me back quickly and set up an appointment to come over later that day to look at the project. He told us they would replace the roof by the end of the week. His roofing foreman kept us informed to the status of material delivery and let me know when they would start the job. The crew showed up promptly at the scheduled time and did a great job, the roof looks great. I have had a few roofs replaced and am used to seeing a bunch of trash left behind in the shrubs and on the lawn. I was pleasantly surprised that there was no trash. Pinnacle Energy was there for us when we needed an emergency repair. Carlo is very professional and delivered on everything that he said they would do. I highly recommend them. I did hear from the other local roofers, one of them could get an estimator out on Monday for an estimate, Monday March 12. Tom Elam

The experience with Pinnacle Energy was excellent from start to finish. The team kept us on the loop the whole time. An estimator came to our home twice, first as an intro and second to finalize the contract, and provided a full estimate which was guaranteed for 1 full year. The price was quite reasonable for the amount of material and work done (< 15K). They were extremely knowledgeable and provided details on specifics for both the materials and installation. This was particularly appreciated since our windows were extremely difficult to measure and build (we have cathedral ceilings of ~20 feet in height). Still, the company got the construction order done in < 2 months and had the windows installed on a single day -- which was quite impressive considering how large and heavy they were. The best part is the overall quality of the Pinnacle Energy windows. Unlike the dual pane windows that we have upstairs, you can really tell the marked difference in quality and overall construction (e.g., PVC vs Metal fittings).

They did a great job. The way they handled the entire situation was great. They took care of the debris and combed the yard meticulously to make sure there was no metal left behind. Overall, just great service!
Description of Work: They did a complete roof removal and replacement. The process took just one day; they were at the home early and out by 6. They had 6 workers and one foreman who wasn't at the jobsite the entire time. I had some concerns about some areas on my roof, which is what led me to procuring their services.

What stood out the most was the way they explained what they were going to do and how they were going to do it. The biggest thing was the quality of work; I got a 50-year guarantee with no proration. If it fails less than that I get the full 50 years so they will replace it for free. After the 50 years then it starts to go to the next owner to get it for their lifetime so I think that is a pretty good deal. It is expensive, but you pay for quality. They came when they said they would and everything worked fine. They were right there.
Description of Work: I had a new roof put on by Pinnacle Energy. There were two layers of old shingles up there and they put a new 50-year architectural shingle up.

After a great sales pitch, I hired Pinnacle Energy to install a new roof on my 17 year old home (June 24, 2013). From the street view, the roof looked great, so I hired Pinnacle to install all new windows (a few of my windows were drafty, but it didn't make sense to replace only the few). The new windows were custom, so they arrived and were installed on February 8, 2014 (right before the worst of the historical winter). The nights were very cold and all of the new windows had an obvious draft (so much so that the curtains moved). I called Pinnacle the next morning and it took them more than a month (March 11) to send someone to install the and quot;tabsand quot; that should have been installed with the new windows. Needless to say, my home was freezing every night since ALL of the windows were drafty; much more drafty than my old windows. When the technician finally showed up to insert the tabs, he only had enough for 3 windows. He told me that he would be back to complete the rest, but after multiple calls to Pinnacle, that took almost another month for someone to show up. When the and quot;newand quot; person showed up to insert the tabs (that took about 5 seconds, per tab), he completed all but one window. In the meantime, my custom storm door arrived and the technician installed it on April 9 (Pinnacle told me that the storm door guy would also install the last window tab, but the technician told me that he wasn’t aware of that, so he did not have a tab with him). The door was installed and and quot;lookedand quot; great, but the technician hammered a nail in the top of the frame and hooked the door spring to it. That caused the door spring to and quot;twangand quot; when you open the door and, since the spring was just hooked onto the nail, I feared that the spring would snap off of the door. When I called Pinnacle AGAIN about the single window draft and the door spring, I was told that they would send someone out to fix both. I had to call Pinnacle again to remind them of this service. They told me that they would have to schedule me far off, unless I allowed them to perform the fixes during their normal working hours. Since I had waited long enough, I took off work to meet the technician on May 12. Instead of the technician who was assigned to fix both issues (named and quot;Westand quot;), Pinnacle sent his son, who pulled a window tab out of his pocket and installed it in 15 seconds. Then he told me that he had to take a picture of the “nail and spring” problem to send to his dad. Since then (May 12), I have not heard back from Pinnacle about fixing my storm door (I suppose they are waiting for me to call them again). Needless to say, I am LIVID. I paid Pinnacle Energy in full after each installation (no discounts, no installments). I WOULD NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN, and I would not recommend them to my enemy.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all of our questions and made sure we were aware of everything that was to happen. The roofers arrived on time. They covered all the shrubs and porches to prevent damage and helped remove the covers when we had to go in and out of the house. Work was steady and they managed to complete the job in one day. The salesman came back and walked us through the property to ensure that we were satisfied. He called several days later to get our opinion of the job. I am very pleased with the work performed and will definitely call on Pinnacle to do work in the future.

.The installation of the windows was seamless and professional as scheduled. The finished job looks good. . A trouble some palladin window turned out to be a work of art. My problemi is that I suspect the management and installers must be two different companies. First I am certain I was sold a and quot;bill of goods and quot; about the ability of the windows to insulate against solar heat. I was given an impressive demonstration as to how a sample window pane would block the rays from a high intensity heat lamp. This played a major roll in my decision. The installed product obviously dosn't match the demonstration. Repeated attempts to get members of the management to repeat the test with the energy lamp were promised but never followed up. I was several times promised a manufacturerand quot;s warranty as well as documentation for an energy tax deduction which have also gone without a response. In balance I would not recommend this firm

I bought a house built during the and quot;boomand quot; in 2003 and a lot of the original builder's work was shoddy, particularly the low-quality windows and doors. It's a 4-story townhouse in the heart of downtown, so our two big concerns were energy, since we could never seem to keep the top level cool in the summer, and noise from surrounding bars and streets. We met with four window companies, including Pella, and decided on Pinnacle because of the combination of the high quality Gorell Armor Glass Plus windows (50-year guarantte!) and reasonable price. We chose these windows over the more standard triple-pane offered by a lot of other companies because the design is better for noise reduction. It was a big job, including replacing a very inaccessible 4th story loft window that's 16-feet-up from the inside and required scaffolding. . The work was done promptly and respectfully. The windows and doors installed look great and made such a big difference, it's almost like we have a new house - it's so much more quiet and peaceful inside, and the temperature is much more uniform throughout. We've also seen some savings in our energy bills. A few years after the original window install, we had problems with a poorly built dormer (the same 4th story loft one described above). This was a tricky problem, and both my roofer and Pinnacle agreed that the problem was NOT due to the windows, but instead due to faulty construction and waterproofing during the and quot;boom, and quot; a missing gutter, and hurricane damage. Pinnacle's service was prompt and very helpful, and although the problem was clearly not caused by them, we actually had to remove and then re-install the windows during the dormer re-build. Pinnacle did this free of charge, coordinating with my other contractors. This was above and beyond what was required and really blew me away.
Description of Work: Replaced 2 sliding doors and 11 windows with higher quality ones, helped diagnose and fix a faulty dormer.

Pinnacle installed a new arch and roofing for my mother-in-laws house. The clean up work was shoddy, and when they damaged the skylights they claimed they were installed improperly to begin with. The work is incomplete now and the parts they provided lay in the sun room waiting for them to remedy the situation. The sales or service groups are no longer returning calls, and my mother-in-law is trying to hold them to the warranty which is difficult considering they will not return phone calls. I truly wish she would have checked Angie's list before she signed the contract. She asked the contractor about Angies list and they said they did not participate. Reading others reviews, it shows they do not care about their work, only people that dont read reviews.

Pinnacle did a solid job and their workmen were professional and courteous. Their work had nice touches such as framing my porchlights and spigots. The siding is of high quality and has withstood the weather. My only two complaints are: (1) the contract specified that my shutters (which are old and weatherbeaten) were to be discarded, but their workmen re-hung them; and (2) they promised to do a sweep of my property for nails and I continue to find nails all over my yard and driveway months later.

You have to be careful when picking contractors. I think it is sad that some Contractors don't honor a very simple contract between a Home Owner and a Contractor Home Owner - pays on time Contractor - provides honest work Simple facts: * The owner called me to confirm my initial appointment (GOOD) * The Sales person came on time for my initial appointment around 10pm on a weekday * The Sales person forgot to have me sign three papers and came back around 9-10pm * After talking to my GF, I decided to change the order within the three day cancellation policy * I called the Sales person to let them know I was going to cancel the whole contract (I don't trust contractors) so that I could redo my contract for 2 new doors. * Once the contract was past the 3 day waiting period I got stood up 6 times for the change order - The Sales person was supposed to show up to my job 3 times (missed every appointment). - The Sales person was supposed to show up at my house 3 times (missed every appointment). * When I called the head sales person to complain, I was called a lier, that they had a contract, and that I should be impressed that someone was willing to come to my house at 10pm to complete a sale. I agree, but they knew how busy I am AND I feel a company should exert the same effort post-sale that you provide pre-sale. The head sales person didn't even acknowledge that I had been stood up 3 times in the middle of the day which didn't require the sales person to come to my house at 10pm because he knew he was in the wrong. * The head sales person met me at my job, gave me a line about him being a and quot;simple personand quot; and never called me again. * I called one more time after waiting for his call for two weeks and he said he called me to contact me, but I didn't pick up. I pulled up my cell records and asked him to tell me the day and time because I never saw the call * He told me he'd call me the next day and I have never been called again. * Once they got my money and contract they have decided they can and quot;jerkand quot; me around because they have my money and a contract. However the spirit of the contract have been violated which is sad. * I asked for a refund multiple times, and they have said no. Bottom line, I'm writing this because any moral company would have refunded my money. The only efford that have put forth is sending a sales person. They haven't even measured my door entryway. I believe this company only cares about the sale and collecting your money. After that they could care less about you.I can't comment on their work, but if the sales process is any indication of their company ethos..I would not take the risk. Their customer service is horrible * Once I signed my contract, the sales person didn't show up to my house again * When I complained after being stood up 6 times, I was told I should have called the company sooner (I called within 7 days). I feel the sales person is an extension of the company AND I was called a lier three days after the contract waiting period by the head sales person. Why would I do business with a company like this. * I got stood up three times for a lunch meeting, but they focus on a 10pm meeting. I'm out of $2,000 dollars for work that has not been done. They offer to install my door (for the full amount), but why would I use a company that has called me a lier, not been punctual, and has a history of being greedy. It is my opinion that this company is dishonest. Be careful. Why I distrust Contractors:For example, last week, I had a big pipe break in my basement. The first plumber could not find the leak, even though they found ~$1,800.00 worth of OTHER problems while my GF was escorting them around the property. The second plumbers found the leak within minutes and quoted a price of $500 to complete the work while I was on speaker phone. It is sad that I have to listen in on Contractors because some feel they can get more money out of my GF. Most of us are ignorant about home repairs.I use this example to say you have to be careful dealing with this company. Of course I'm biased, but I'll try to present the facts so that you can draw your own conclusions. Never, I mean NEVER do business with a company going door to door. ALWAY use Angies List and other company review boards to pick a company. I discounted this Company's reviews because I felt that people review companies they have issues with...but I feel you've been warned.

A representative from Pinnacle Energy was circulating our neighborhood and seeing if anyone needed work done that they could provide an estimate for. We agreed to set up a meeting for the following week. At the meeting, we discussed work that needed to be done on our roof and were shown a binder with the various credentials and rewards received by Pinnacle Energy. We received an estimate for almost $4000 and asked for a minute to discuss our estimate before deciding. While we were discussing, the representative from the company ran back in and said due to a calculation error, he had underestimated the cost of our project by about $2000. We were upset but, he agreed to take some money (a couple of hundred dollars) off of the new total if we would put a sign in our yard advertising the company. If we wanted this price we were told we had to sign a contract that day or the price would increase by %15. Under this pressure, we agreed to sign a contract. Our work was supposed to be completed in 5-7 weeks and we were supposed to receive a phone call the following week with a date that the work would be completed. We received a phone call a few days later informing us that they would call us with a date (Around 5/5). We did not hear from them for almost two months. I called to inquire about the project and was told that they would call me back. Today, they called and said that the project was beyond the scope of what they had originally thought and that they did not have the liability insurance for it. They asked if we wanted to continue the project or get our deposit money back ($2000 which had already been cashed). At this point, we do not consider the company to be professional or reliable and do not trust the work that they would do on our house so we are asking for our money back. This is a house project that we had wanted done in a timely fashion (due to potential increased damage to the house) and little frustration. Pinnacle Energy did not give us either of these things.
Description of Work: We had a representative from Pinnacle Energy come out and give us an estimate on getting a portion of our roof reshingled and fix our gutters as well as reframe a portion of our garage. We signed a contract with Pinnacle Energy for this work.

The salesperson arrived promptly for our appointment. I explained some of the damage to my house. He went outside to take measurements. After he finished with the measurements, we sat down so he could start with the estimate. When I mentioned that my insurance company would be involved, things went downhill quickly. I explained that the insurance inspector had been to my home, and he was the one who notified me of the hail damage. He indicated the roof and siding needed to be replaced. The salesperson wanted to know how much the insurance company had approved for the work. I told him that I had yet to receive an estimate. He then wanted to know if the inspector specifically said the insurance company would pay for the roof and siding. Since it was inference, I couldn't answer with an emphatic and quot;yes.and quot; The salesperson had to call a manager in order to find out how to proceed. There seemed to be a concern as to how I would pay for the work if the insurance estimate was less than the quote they provided. When the phone call ended, the salesperson asked me what I would do if Pinnacle's quote was $6,000-8,000 and the insurance company was only willing to pay $2,000. I thought this was inappropriate considering I was never quoted a price, and they were already concerned I couldn't afford it. I explained that I had already received a quote from another company for $3,500, so I would have to take that into consideration. Sidebar: If my quote seems low, it's because he was talking about replacing the roof only. End of sidebar. He still wanted to know how this hypothetical scenario would play out, so he asked the question a different way. He wanted to know what I would do if the insurance company was only willing to pay $2,000 and the quote was $3,500. I told him that I would pay the difference. I also mentioned the additional damage to my kitchen. I indicated that I was hoping to find a company that could work on the outside and inside repairs. He mentioned that Pinnacle would have to hire subcontractors to perform that work. The salesperson called the manager one more time to relay my response. He explained that I was going through my insurance company that I was currently receiving quotes from multiple companies and that I would choose the most affordable option. He also mentioned that I had sustained damage to the inside of the house. When that phone call ended, I was finally aware that I would not be receiving an estimate from Pinnacle. Not only was going through my insurance company a problem, there was also a concern of their having to use a subcontractor for the work on the inside of the home. He said that Pinnacle would not be able to help me with my roof or the inside water damage. He indicated that they may be able to work on the siding. The salesperson ended the consultation at that point. However, I wasn't exactly finished. I'm not one to hold back my feelings, and I had to let him know that the way the meeting was handled left a bad taste in my mouth. I told him that I thought it was insulting for them to be discussing my ability to pay, especially when I was never quoted a price. He seemed to be surprised that I was insulted by what is probably a normal business process for them. He asked me if I was offended easily. I'm sure he only said that because he was caught off guard and didn't really know what to say. Nonetheless, I answered with a and quot;no.and quot; At that point, I could tell he was uncomfortable. He apologized for offending me and even offered to match my $3,500 quote. (So technically, I did get a quote...I guess.) However, I was now done with the consultation. As I walked him to the door, he offered to leave his business card (but understood if I didn't want it). I told him I wouldn't be needing it. I don't take issue with the company not wanting to deal with insurance companies. However, if you're going to take a hard stance, you should have asked how I planned to pay for the work when I called to schedule an estimate. The appointment lasted approximately 20 min. Half of the time, the salesperson was trying to figure out whether he was going to provide an estimate. I would have appreciated if the salesperson respected my time and provided the estimate. I was prepared to listen to what the company had to offer. However, I was rejected because they assumed that I couldn't or wouldn't pay for the work.
Description of Work: My house received some damage to the roof and siding due to a hail storm. The inspector from my insurance company recommended that both the roof and siding be replaced. I requested an estimate for the replacement cost from Pinnacle Energy, Inc. In addition, the morning of my appointment, my kitchen and dining room walls sustained some water damage. I was also going to ask Pinnacle for an estimate for that work. However, I was prepared for the fact that they couldn't do it, considering their work is generally for the exterior of the home.

The presentation of materials, procedures and prices was very well done -- clear and honest. This wasn't the cheapest option out there, but the quality of the materials was very, very high, and that was what made us choose. The installation process was terrific. We were told that the workers would not shout or swear or make nuisances of themselves in any way. At the time, I thought that was an odd promise to make, but when they did the work (I'm guessing they were Chinese, from their accents), everything was smoother and more professional than we have ever experienced before. The details of the siding (frames around faucets, for example) are much nicer than we had reason to expect. So, we are thrilled with the overall job.

Overall it was a good job. They sent 6 or 7 workers that were Mexican and none of them spoke English. I found that a little disturbing that there was nobody onsite that could relay questions. They looked at me with a blank stare. I had some medical issues going on at the same time and they failed to tell me that they had moved from one location to another. I sent a substantial check for $13,000 to the address they supplied me and then they called and badgered me on the phone. I had just gotten discharged from the hospital so it got ugly. They sent somebody here that night and it almost got down to a fist fight in the front yard over a check which was actually returned in the mail that afternoon. The workmanship was good but the customer service was poor. I've had some issues since then and it has been very hard trying to get them resolved. Their price was in the ballpark for what other people charge. They did pretty good work. They were here when they said they would be. I wasn't pleased whatsoever with their customer service. It was their fault that they didn't update their address on their billing statement and it wasn't my problem.

I told them that I wanted someone that speaks English so I can communicate with the workers and they said that it would not be a problem. They sent workers that only spoke Spanish. They also promised me that they would send a project manager that spoke English but he never showed up. They were supposed to pad around the gutter system and they did not, which damaged the gutter system. They did not do the job professionally. There was plastic hanging from the roof but they called me and said the job was complete.
Description of Work: They replaced my whole roof.

Last year, we received a quote from Pinniacle Energy to replace the roof. They called back to see what they could do to get our business. Since we had lost the quote, but are ready to get the roof replaced, we were happy to have them come back out. When they arrived, they did not have the original quote. They re-took measurements and prepared a quote for a new roof and gutters. I am not sure how these quotes are normally generated, but the sales person looked through a binder and then scribbled a number onto a notepad. This job was going to be a total roof replacement. The house is 1500 sq ft with a gable roof and an addition in the back. The roof retail price that he gave me was more then $20,000, but he said he could do it for just over $11,000. He also quoted $75 per sheet of ply wood. The retail price for the gutters was $4000, but he said he could do it for $2000+. Both these numbes seemed high to me. I asked for a formal quote in writing and this is where things went downhill. The sales person questioned why I wanted a quote. He was adamant that there was no reason not to just get the work done. He tried to make me feel uncomfortable by trying to force me to question his numbers. I tried to explain myself, but he cut me off time and time again. It got to the point where I had had enough, so I told him that we were not going to be able to do business and asked him to leave. At that point he tried one last time to pressure me by saying he could do the job for less, but it would be inferior workmanship. Again, I asked him to leave. On his way out the door he turned around and said "SUCKS TO BE POOR". Needless to say, do not waste your time with this company.

When we had decided to go with the Windows, the experience was very professional, very clean and very quick. We had someone come over and accurately measure each window. These measurements produced perfect fitting windows in our home. a week or two later, the installation team came. These two men were very professional and certified. They worked cleanly and effeciently to remove our old builder's grade windows. They removed the windows and took them to be properly disposed off. Next, they installed the new windows. They went room by room, installing the beautiful windows and made sure not to rough up the surrounding molding and to caulk each window, inside and out, to entire a tight, waterproof seal. After installation, they vacuumed any debris that remained and any leaves that they tracked in.
Description of Work: We received 2 quotes from Pinnacle over a years time and decided at the second quote to actually have work performed on the house. We had purchased 11 windows from Pinnacle. They had the windows custom fit and installed within weeks.

The bottom line is, do not let the sales person into your house, its all about the money. I can't help to think I was taken to the clearers. I had signed that contract and there was no way out.
Description of Work: The workers showed up on time and worked into the evening. They brought throw clothes and spread them throughout the house however they left their lunch trash in the yard. They were some way professional and courteous, the product seems okey.

Eight people arrived at 8am and finished by 4pm. They cleaned up all debris from the ground using a magnet. It looked very smooth and well organized. They fixed an air vent which was broken. This was extra work for them. It seems one person was a supervisor who stayed from beginning to end. Two people seem to be regular employees, five of them looked temporary. Three different people came for the initial contact, correcting deposit and correcting the final payment. I felt the sale was a little pushy. Our house needed reroofing, but we had not done any research ourselves. The sales person said if we decided on the spot, we would get a significant discount. Of course, the price after the discount is the right price, and probably we could get the same price from other company. So it is better to contact Pinnacle after you study the prices of other companies. We paid $10500. They told us the square footage of the roof at that time, but not in document.
Description of Work: Removing two existing layers. Shingle used was Tamko with the conventional 25 year warranty.
