+ -1 moreNicholas arrived on time in the morning and usually worked a full day. He charged $350/day for labor and sometimes brought in another artist to help. The work was very dusty, but he made an effort to contain the dust and keep it at a minimum since we were living in the house while it was under construction. We selected Nick because he understood our desire to restore the original plaster as much as possible, whereas other people we called for an estimate wanted to put up drywall on the problem areas.
Description of Work: Replastered cracks throughout our 1890 Bolton Hill rowhouse. Work included covering many big holes in ceilings and walls made by our electrician after he rewired the entire house.

+ -1 moreHe returned phone calls promptly, was punctual, and courteous. He was very careful of his surroundings, making sure nothing got damaged or dusty, and his work was meticulous. He is also a sculptor, so I have no doubt that he is equally skilled in his specialty with restoration plaster work, such as repairing cornices, ceiling medallions, arches and mirrors. In addition, his prices are extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: He repaired water damage in two ceilings, as well as plastering two wall areas with cracks. He divided the work over 2 half days, giving the plaster time to dry in between.
