Movers of Baltimore

They provided a written proposal for $330 for 1 truck, 3 men for 3 hours. Boxes were arranged in advance of their arrival with identifications to be delivered to the new apartment and a relatives garage less than one mile away. When the boxes were loaded onto the truck and driven to the next building, which is less that 200 feet away, they told us that they needed an additional $230 cash to unload the truck and bring the items to the apartment. The money was paid and they moved boxes up to the apartment but not the correct boxes. They arranged the boxes in the middle of the room and had them such that the identification tags could not be seen. They then drove the remaining boxes to the relatives home and repeated the same request for additional $200 to unload the truck. The money was again paid. A request was made to check the back of the truck and the movers gave us a hard time but thank goodness we did because they had two antique mirrors laying in the back of the truck that they were trying to hide. They also broke a glass top for a table and then hid the pieces under boxes that were unloaded. They disassembled a piece of Ethan Allen furniture and then never reassembled the furniture on the other end. They took 5 hours (4:15 to 9:15) to complete the move and the cost was over double then the estimate. When a friend called a couple of days later asking for an explanation, Christy at Movers of Baltimore told him that it took 7 hours. Christy also said that it was company policy to collect money half way through the move. They listed their address on the estimate as 3755 Bonnybirdge Place in Ellicott City, MD. They took complete advantage of a female senior citizen and spoke Russian throughout the move. Do Not Use Them
