I delivered 7 dirty mini-blinds to their facility in Baltimore. The blinds were carried for me from my vehicle into their shop. I was told specifically when they would be ready for pick up, which was in about 3 business days. I had called in advance to check on prices and was told that it would be $15-$18 dollars depending upon the size of the blind. The entire charge for the cleaning was $106 and I had a $10 dollar off coupon from their web site, so the entire job was $96, which is less than $14 per blind! They also replaced some of the end caps on the bottom of the blinds that were broken or missing. My husband forgot to get the clips that hold the valance slats in place when he picked up the blinds. I called to see if they would mind putting the clips into the mail for me since I live 45 minutes from their shop and I was told that they would be put into the mail the following day. Although I decided to deliver the blinds to their facility myself, I was told that they will pick up blinds in the area for a fee and also for $4/blind would take them down and put them up for you. All in all, this was a fantastic service at a very reasonable price. I definitely recommend them.

After years of trying to clean my blinds by hand with little success, I discovered the blind cleaning service at Mitchell's and used it for years. It was easy and affordable and Mitchell's did excellent repairs. I moved and didn't have blinds for some time. New home and I inherited blinds that really needed a good cleaning. I took 9 1-inch blinds into Mitchell's and paid one extra dollar each for same day service. Well worth the cost of not having to come up with alternate window coverings. Service personnel at Mitchell's were very courteous and answered all of my questions and made recommendations. Someone even came to my car to carry the blinds into the shop. Even though I was told that it would probably take all day, my blinds were ready early and I got a courtesy call to pick them up. On pick up, they generously gave me extra tassels, even though they had already replaced the ones on my blinds that were broken. They made sure the blinds and packages were labelled so that I could easily re-install them. They wrap and package the blinds to protect them and make them easy to carry. My blinds look great -- clean blinds have made such a difference to my windows.

They did a great job. They were so nice. They were very understanding of us having a contractor their as well. This was a very inexpensive service for 15 shade's.

On Wednesday March 30 2011 at 10AM I took 7 sets of venetian blinds to Mitchell's for cleaning. Their sign says "in by 9 out by 4" so I did not expect to pick up the blinds until next day - but I certainly expected them before NEXT MONDAY. Next day (Thursday) - blinds not started. Friday PM I called them - blinds still not started, won't be ready until NEXT MONDAY. Since I did not care to go through the weekend living in a fishbowl, I pick up the un-washed blinds. The really irksome thing about Mitchell's is their attitude. They just don't care - no concern about losing a customer. The owner just gave me some excuse about my not paying an extra dollar to get the "in by 9 out by 4" service - which I did not expect, and which they incorrectly claimed I declined. Oh well, there's more customers where that one came from... Mitchell's has been around for a long time, but now apparently they've decided to rest on their laurels. They don't deserve your business.

THE VENETIAN BLINDS WERE CLEANED AND RETURNED TO ME THE SAME DAY. IT WAS VERY REASONABLY PRICED AND CERTAINLY EASIER THAN TRYING TO DO IT MYSELF. THEY WERE SQUEAKY CLEAN.
